  • In general I do not like gergiev because he does everything too fast but I started to listen to this recording from the second part and I found it veeery interesting to the end, and now I am surprise that it was gergiev, and the tempo of this dance of the young girls confirms so.

  • @meowkie I believe its the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra with Valery Gergiev conducting.

  • @potassiumchlorate I figured it was Gergiev. I find he plays the second movement very fast; it makes me feel bad for the dancers. Thanks a lot for letting me know!!! And double thanks for sharing this with us. :) It's a very powerful version of the rite. :)
