  • Great illustration of vector. If there would be no background music and no echo it would be even better, now it feels like it meant to relax you, even though you should probably be trying to comprehend what is shown. :) Anyway great video.

  • VECTORS ARE ELEMENTS OF A VECTOR SPACE. THIS VIDEO IS CRAP.

  • SUPER!!!!!!!11111111

  • thanks alot for this video...its amazing...

  • Fantastic vid on vectors! Fantastic!

  • So ... what's a vector?

  • @Andybaby magnitude(The property of relative size or extent) in a direction. In other words, you getting up and going to the kitchen for some food is a vector.

  • @IcarusFlying It's easier when you use a dictionary, and there are a lot of one click dictionaries that can take you directly to the definition. Definition = clear knowing. :D

  • nice

  • echo=vector

  • FIND THE COMPUTER ROOM!

  • You lost me at Vector

  • That voice sounds just like Louise Fletcher. (Nurse Ratched or Winn from DS9)

  • lol tomorrow is our final exam for Vectors. And this topic is on prelims. Now i think I'll pass this subject :) Thanks alot!

  • terrr.... BAEKK!!!! like2~~~~ please made more video so we can understand better.... thanX

  • 0.0

  • the bestest video!!

Dis Gives The Clear Idea About Dot Product And Cross Product!!

  • Vectors: A = axX + ayY

(A is vector, ax is magnitude, X is direction, ay is magnitude, Y is direction)

Read it like this: Vector A is equal to the magnitude of the vector in the x direction plus the magnitude of the vector in the y diirection.

By splitting it into these two components, vectors make right triangles, on which you can use properties like pythagorean theorem. Sine, Cosine, and inverse Tangent are 3 important functions of vectors.

  • Accelerator!

  • thank u very much!!!!!!!!

  • I don't get anything of this :|

  • @wach9191 and I thought I was the only one.

  • @wach9191 This is sooooo simplified wow, sucks for you

  • that sounds like Lilly Tomlin (famous comedian). that is so funny... she is a riot.

  • Just a question that I need answering to: At what age do you think, is it appropriate to learn about vectors? Please answer?

  • @AnnaBananaKooKooCake 11-12 grade

  • @kayleepierce Wow... I'm in seventh...

  • best ever video I have seen on vectors the gentle lady was so best i got mesmerised I WOULD LIKE TO PAY HER TRIBUTE BY MEETING PERSONALLY TO THANK HER CONTRIBUTION.

  • this only confused me more :S I think i'll stick to my notes lol

  • @cheesey12354 Your an idiot.

  • @bofawziii yes i admit i am when it comes to physics at advanced level xD lol

  • @bofawziii At least put forth the initiative to spell correctly if you're going to be calling anyone an idiot.

  • so this is what math porn is like...

  • absolutely fantastic!!!!!!

  • absolutely fantastic

  • thank you so much i never understood vectors now i know

  • Wow !!! :)

  • WOAH! I Thought I was in haven!

  • when two vectors are at it together lol

  • I felt the whole story, Cheers

  • I must say.... I am impressed. Very nice job!

  • This is like two weeks of classes sumed up in 4 minutes and 31 seconds.

Vector that, my dear boring instructor.

  • the dot product and cross is just not getting through to my head, i just don't understanding the multiplication and what i understand the division of vectors

  • thanks great video

  • scary music but wonderful presentation

  • Hey- That's CyberUberZexy!

  • i kept looking behind me :(

  • xplained very nicely::)))ty

  • Narrated by Sigourney Weaver?

  • :( i wish i was smart enough to understand this and be able to remember it

  • You have now entered the Twilight Zone.

  • most beautiful and perfect educational video i had ever watched

  • awesome....!! great job keep it up....!! thanks

  • So this is were the character accelerator comes from

  • does anyone else find the music in the background creepy?

  • good video very helpful

    Zwelis

  • 6) Did you know that every negative emotion, such as anger, envy, jealousy and others come back to you three times as hard after you release it onto someone else? In physics, it is called the law of return. Any energy whether if it is positive or negative, comes back to the original source three times stronger. When you keep anger towards someone, or you wish bad things upon someone, that same energy comes back to you three times stronger. Start thinking positively!

  • lol we saw a video of this in our physics class

  • Im still lost.

  • I wonder what this mystical woman looks like. When I hear this voice, I can't help but picture something similar to South Park's depiction of Moses.

  • @Winstonsicle Yes, sounds like a big glowing face- authoritative but kind.

  • This is a nice explanation that could actually be used in schools.

  • This is awesome!

  • they teach us that you either mark a vector with one small letter, like vector a, or either two big letters, like vector AB. So your vector A (capital) would be wrong.

  • @Evaldas521 maybe at your school =p

  • @Lucif3rsProdigy

    in my country.

  • wowowo that was fast!!!!!

  • ohhh

  • advanced mathematics is best learned with mystical violins behind a mellow and mystic female voice with an echo. At least for me it is.

  • @SVBerk65 wow, vectors were the hardest part of physics for me and it was like a light bulb was turned on, i don't know how this didn't make sense when i was being taught it in school

  • Great Video!!. .....and The rest ???t

  • is this from the mechanical universe?

  • help[ed alot man!

  • Merci beaucoup!!

Grâce à vous, je suis un étudiant le plus intelligent dans la classe de maths.

Bien que je peux pas parler l'anglais, vous explique dans un maniére très simple.

    Merci de Canada!

  • thanks ^^

  • thank u soooooo much

  • High schools should really give kids videos like this on youtube. It reinforces material in books and is like having a personal lecture.

College level, not so much, but it still helps for things like proving formulas and general concepts.

  • the voice kinda reminds me of EVA from the classic C&C

  • BEST VIDEO EVER!!!!!!

  • I was just looking for the fourth dimension online, and i came across vectors! what a lovely invention. what I especially appreciate about vectors is the lovely field of chickens. crazy!!

  • hehe, yeah the reverb is a little unnecessary. Couldn't have given a better intro in 4 mins

  • its great. my teacher could have never taught so well!

  • blew my mind

  • very helpful to fully comprehend this very important element in physics....thanks.......

  • Comment removed

  • THANK YOU FEMALE GOD!

  • @fuwad84 ROFL female god !!!!! hahaha,,, loved it

  • this video taught it better then any high school teacher i had

  • why is this video so funny?

  • me cago

  • useful video yeah but why is that echo, makes me feel like in a spacecraft :D hehe

  • why is the background music uber creepy ?

  • @MrWookiemonster Probably because physics is terrifying when you're cramming for your finals.

  • @MrWookiemonster

    caus it's physics.

  • @MrWookiemonster it's out to get us

  • hahhah my lecturers are crazy for suggesting this...!

  • On the other side, as I watched the whole video after that last comment... I favourites it! :D

  • I watched 3 seconds of this, shuddered, and quickly turned it of! What a scary voice! :S

  • It gets more interesting regarding derivation of vectors.

  • Isn't this from the show Mechanical Universe from 1985?

  • Yeah it is. My physics professor makes us watch these.

  • I used to watch this to fall asleep. With the dreamy music and echoy voice.

  • Neat! Everything's so clear!

    Thanks so much!

  • very useful vdo, thank you.

  • thx

  • thanks!

  • awesome. thank you so much

it is so effective when seen animated

  • nice tutorial... but wats with the horror movie echo on the voice?

  • It took me only only 4 minutes (the length of this video) to understand what took me more than 50 pages in my maths book! Thanks a lot!

  • lmfao same here

  • WOW! really great! It's my favourite now!

  • Great explanation

    Brilliant voice.

  • scary music, but nice vid

  • very nice

  • thanks

  • excellent explanation, I am sure that if this video had been released when you take geometry classes had approved more easily. University of Carabobo, Venezuela.

  • Underline them if you want to talk vectors.

    Excellent presentation.

  • ok is great

  • this looks like a segment from a video series.... are there any other videos like this one?

  • echo echo echo....

  • lol i know why are they trying to make it scary?

  • Meh i thought it was hilarious, maybe i'm too scared to admit it =/

  • Thank you for this. It's great.

  • Thanks for uploading this. Seriously!

  • thanx GOD bless you........!

  • awesome.....but a little bit bored...LOL

  • I love her voice

  • hahaha

  • i luv it !!...=) thanx =)

  • OMG, av been lookin for this EVERWHEREM, thanks buddy.......

  • Thanks for uploading it. Thank u

  • thanks for uploading this video now i know what is a victore ...........

  • never take calc3 and engineering physics I, you'll get confused

  • i love that voice

  • Yeah that's what I said.

  • creepy

  • lol, YEAH!

  • i think that futuristic voice made us feel emotionless! I likw it though... good stuff!

  • me too

  • This would've been more pedagogical for the beginners if it explained WHY and gave some practical examples, instead of the take-it-by-faith shape of the whole tutorial. Still, it's not a bad tutorial.

  • it could not have been better nor more efficient.

it does communicate the idea clearly. the why is the next video.

  • who is this aimed for? presume secondary school students

  • spooky

  • Wow, I never learnt any of this at school. I understand more now but would never attempt an exam...

  • it was a little weird at first but its helpful!

  • rjmaniglia,

Thank you so much for this video. I like the voice, too.

  • Confusing but helpfull. Great voice too.

  • that was a nice little round up. i hope there are more in depth ones.

  • yes very visual, great tutorial, but the voice was like...er, god-like, kinda freaky! but thanks, very helpful!

  • this is a bit confusing..

  • this is a great video but this voice really scares me!

  • vectors are awesome. im not superb with math but the concepts that vectors and matrices represent sit very well with me as they are so easy to visualize when writing 2d or 3d graphics code. this video captures a piece of that visualization, although i think the voice echoing is a bit unnecessary.

  • speaking of which, there should be matrix and quaternion videos like this too ;)

  • Muito Bom...

  • Hmm, vectors have parallels with co-ordinate geometry, yet when I did Math in high school I seemed to manage the former much better.

  • What does W and R represnet?

  • Excelente. Muy bien animado y muy explicativo.

  • This is an excellent piece, instructionally and visually as well. I am very interested in the animation software used, since I will be doing something similar in the area of text analysis. If you feel like responding, my email is iceman3333@earthlink.net.

  • I am not very good at math, actually, i am incapable of learning math at school, but when i youtube, its seems otherwise.
