  • the 90s had the best video game music

  • 90% of memory used for this song? Worth it.

  • dear lord, this is old D: holy shit, too much nostalgia... now i just need to watch the intro for 1080 before my head implodes

  • This game was so hard to hit a homerun in!!!

  • I used to be so good at this game...

  • I think its interesting that the W in winning run is the W the nationals use. sorry if it was mentioned before

  • only thing i remember from this game was when the umpire would tap the screen and say "PLAY THE GAME KID!"

  • This is gonna be my new theme song. Imma play it everytime i walk into a room and they gotta listen to the 8 minutes. hell yeah

  • This game owns, no joke.

  • i still play this game and SNES is still the best system ever made. this song just makes me want to candy trip

  • Bass-ball

  • "bitch"

  • @TappingTheCrail or "pitch"

  • faping

  • 4:05 for the best part :D

  • PLAY THE GAME, KID.

  • THANK YOU. I have been trying to locate this song this song for LITERALLY 15 years.

  • @BlackShinobi13 No prob.

  • damn what kinda batting gloves he got theyre sick..prob b4 his swingman collection but i like tht mix of teal and navy

  • I used to play this game all the time, and still do sometimes. I just have somethin i NEED to share with everyone. Sometimes a commercial will come on t.v. and it will involve some kind of cheering and yelling. I swear to god sometimes I hear the sounds of the cheering from your dugout in this game when you hit a homerun. I'm almost positive about this. People sample crowd noises and player's cheering from this game in their commercials. Keep your ears open.

  • @dstrubs23 Dude, same here I've noticed! I thought I was the only one that noticed that. Like for example, in the N64 game "Major League Baseball featuring Ken Griffey Jr." the crowd makes that cheering noise and then I see a commercial on tv and recognize that same cheering noise from the game.

  • Next year on my college campus I'll probably be the only one with a Super Nintendo. Thumbs up for video game nostalgia!

  • at 1:16 one voice says Bitch!!!! LOL

  • @Locustrony it says bass

  • Amazing producer, forget her name, you can tell she's the same producer for the Donkey Kong Country themes.

  • Very much brings me back to my 10th birthday when I got this game. Very good memories. (I'm 24 now) Why couldn't I stay 10?

  • I rented this game so often, the corner store was ready to just give it to me by the end. Badass player names in this too. I remember Big Magoo, Bolt Lightning, Bull Gigante, Muscles McFee.... it was great.

  • @ReJ40 T BONE MALONE :)

  • how on earth can a human being listen to this for 8 minutes

  • @0yht I've been listening to this going on two hours now. :)

  • @0yht How on Earth can a human being not listen to this for 8 minutes.

  • I would love to have this song myself.

  • Very 90's.....

    I love it!

  • fue mi primer juego de SNES!!!

    y la musica era genial!!

  • If I was in a club, I would recommened this song. So awesome so was the game. Even if they had to make up names due to the lack of Major League Baseball Players' Association license.

  • what is the name of the song... and can it be downloaded to mp3?

  • @mattyfuckinfostah Do you have Windows Live Messenger?

  • Da diggy. Da diggy-da da-da-da-da-da.

The hottest soundtrack of all time.

  • It is "No one can stop this"

  • Looking back it all makes sense why Griffey was on the cover of all of the Nintendo baseball games. He was a great player and all but Why??? well because Nintendo has owned the Seattle Mariners since 1990. Can you say self-promotion!!!!

  • viper ramirez

  • Man, this was an excellent game.

  • This should be played at Safeco Field

  • @emceeAMile hahahah lol thtd be sick, it shoulda been griffeys walkup...or his n64 theme song

  • @08WSChamps Yeah.

  • best music ever in a sports videogame

  • awesome that this is up. Easily in the top ten as far as video game theme songs go

  • where can i get the mp3? ive been looking forever!

  • @meatybum If you have windows live messenger, I can give it to you there.

  • @meatybum

There was a batter in this game named Rebel Ruiz who I thought was better then Griff, he had comparable slugging and ran even faster, played for the Cubs.

  • FRANK LIBERTY

  • @JACONROFL Lmao he hit so many home runs

Griffey hit one like every single time he was up though, soooo overpowered

  • this game is awesome. i still play it

  • I miss this game so much

  • i used to piss people off when they played me in this, because i would listen to the music constantly before we started...i just thought the beats were so hot

  • love this game, still play it too.

  • BIG MAGOO!

  • I'm the biggest Jr. fan but I never played this game...got both of the N64 games tho

  • BA BEAST...BA BEAST!! i love that part of the song...also octain mcbain, chief caboose, tony flowers, razor sizemore,

  • after all these years, and its still as epic as ever, holy crap! i've seen so many top 100 vgmusic, and this is never mentioned! is that David Wise as the composer??? (DKC series composer)

  • No, it was Eveline Novakovic . She helped David Wise and Robin Beanland with Donkey Kong, though.

She's also the voice of Joanna Dark in Perfect Dark for N64.

  • ah ok, thanks!

  • "PLAY THE GAME KID "

  • "BASE, BASE.. NO ONE CAN STOP THIS!

  • how can I download this music theme

  • 1:08 to 1:14 was the most dramatic entrance music in a video game ever, its so unbaseball sounding..that part of the song makes me feel like something bads gonna happen or some shit.

  • It'll be a little weird if they start playing this before the World Series one day...

  • what does it say in the vid?

how can I download this music theme?

  • No one can stop me!

  • I think he's saying "No one can stop this", but that's just me.

  • @Kabal07 Yeah, it's saying "No one can stop this".

  • @Kabal07 I could never make what the fat guy with gruff voice says!! i think he says patience. what do u think?

  • @rakitipakiti To me, he sounds more like he's saying "BASE"

  • @Kabal07 that was true about ken griffy jr. and with any luck he'll be headed to Cooperstown to the HOF

  • I LOVED this game. This game was my obsession for the longest time!

  • same here i love this game so much

  • I dug this game out yesterday and played with some friends, forgot how kick ass the soundtrack is!

  • Is it just me, or does the umpire at 1:17 say b***h

  • No, he says "Base..."

  • @Kabal07 sounds very close

  • It's actually "bass" (a play on words), he doesn't come into the song until 1:45, and that's definitely not the umpire!

Years ago, someone had to point out to me at 0:45 that he was saying, "Play the game, kid!", which I thought was funny.

  • @Ziggy971 he is saying base.

  • impressive song :D
