  • Yes, I still have the original head pipes.

  • do you still have the stock catatlytic converter ?

  • very nice. I have the SAME exact bike in the ember red sunglo, 2012 also. I decided to go with Vance & Hines dresser twin slash mid ovals. I love the way it sounds. It purrs... it doesnt "yell"...

  • I like the sound, wish they were a little louder. I just purchased a 2011 Street Glide. I want to install the slip-on mufflers myself but not sure what else is involved. I've heard that a different air cleaner is necessary, and that something in the tuning of the engine nneeds to be reset. Anybody know for sure? thanx to all.

  • @daycruiser9900 All I installed so far was the Rinehart 4" slip ons. I'm now looking into T Man performance products.

  • I have the same exact bike (2012 SG) with 4" Reinharts. I just added Vance and Hines Power Duals up front with the Drak Air cleaner and V&H Fuel Pack. The bike really feels good now! It has more power, is smoother, sounds great, corners great for a big bike. I wasn't sure about the color but now that I have it I love it!

  • @bobct1956 did you put the power duals and fuel pack in yourself? i went with the V&H mid ovals and the screamin eagle air filter

  • @xHEMI34 I had a local shop do it. I didn't want to take a chance with the fuel map. It's dialed right in and I love it.

  • @xHEMI34 I had the dealer throw them in with my deal. They sound great and I like them a lot.

  • Great looking bike, great looking/sounding pipes, and a quality camera = a great vid! I'm between the Ember Red and the Big Blue.... I have a question though... do the 4 inchers effect cornering clearance at all?? I'd assume the floorboards would hit the deck way before the bags or exhaust would... I'm coming from a Jap sportbike to a Street Glide in the Spring of 2012 so i'm used to alot of lean angle. Also... do these pipes overpower the stock stereo? Thanks a bunch! :)

  • @grandviewguy18 I haven't noticed any problems of the mufflers hitting in turns. The pipes do overpower the radio but it's minor. I set the auto volume up one and that seems to help. I love this bike and with the 4" Rineharts it's even better.

  • Great mufflers I think you'll be happy. I did see a little improvement in performance. I need to make my mind up on a high flow breather. Good luck with your new streetglide and let me know how you like it. I'd like to see a pic of it.

  • @joez57 np when they come in i'll do a before and after video and make sure you get the link, thats if it ever stops raining lol, ok again great looking bike

  • @MrSpank09 Sounds good. I'll be looking forward to seeing it.

  • very nice bike, i just got my 2012 streetglide wit the tequila sunrise, and hd orange two tone, just ordered a set of the rinehart pipes and must say sounds awsome, any difference in the performance? ok again great looking bike

  • @MrSpank09 Very nice. It really sounds alive now. Thanks for the ideas.

  • very nice...got the same bike on order, same color. i'm going with V&H Monster Rounds, SE stage 1 air cleaner kit, Performance Machine SE upgrade kit with a Perfomance Machine "wrath" cover....just like the look of those breathers...

  • No other upgrades yet. I am trying to deside on an air cleaner. I like the looks of the heavy breather but I'm used to the old screaming breather using the stock chrome cover. I need to talk to more people about what they have done.

which one were you interested in?

    Joe

  • Sounds good. any other upgrades? air cleaner? ECM? I have the same bike.
