In Africa, we went through the same hellish history of slavery and oppression, but we don't hold every single white person in the world racist, because not all are racist. There are assholes, sure, but not all. This woman who said "bitch" is not a racist. Neither is her daughter, the young one going to poetry class. The man, he is not racist but stupid and ignorant, thats another thing...

Based on Brian's unforgiveable offense at 2:18 and his wife's at the b--ch word, there seems to be a harboring of hate that the blacks have, and it's frustrating when they take everything the wrong way, because the whites mean no offense. Because the White women didn't get mad when the Black women was saying hey hun as if she was White they both laughed about it. @LotN2 We don't think the whole world is against us. We don't even think all white people are against us. But we do have to deal with racism and discrimination growing up, where we'll receive certain looks or whatsohaveyou, and we can recognize that negativity. Sometimes racism is unconscious and they don't even know they're doing it, but it's in their body language. It's an issue of nurturing, too; stereotypes BOTH races are presented with, not just us (or them) creating problems for ourselves.

But if you go with a hostile defencive-kind of "dont-get-close-to-me" approach, you'll have difficulty in communicating with your brothers in Africa, you will turn people away from you who otherwise would come close to you, just like a magnet repells another magnet if plus against plus.

It's one of the reasons I only have a few black friends - because there's so few of them that actually have acceptable attitudes where I live. But they're still not ALL like that. Just... a lot of them are. D:

And a lot of us aren't in touch with our actual culture from Africa. I sometimes wish we were; we probably wouldn't have so many social issues if we did.
