  • motorkeys auto locksmiths leeds uk. what a load of rubbish, we have tried this extensively, many makes and models all resulted in failure, just like holding the key to your head the waves from the phone will enable you to unlock your car from a greater distance thats all.

  • The problem is that the signal isn't a sound. It isn't even a sound you cannot hear. They use a radio frequency with special encryption codes. This would never work.

  • There is no technical reason why this should work. Draggin' his little girl into his video lie...

  • LACKING/UNLACKING YOUR CAR??? DUDE YOU NEED TO LEARN HOW TO PRONOUNCE THE LETTER "O"!!! There is a reason why it is there.... INSTEAD of a letter "A"!!! Bet this guy says... "IT'S REALLY HAT TODAY!" or "LET ME E-MAIL MY BROTHER ON MY LAPTAP!"... You have NO excuse... English is your PRIMARY LANGUAGE!

  • i thought he was going to chuck the shit out of the cell phone through the car window. lol

  • FAKE :)

  • can you record the signal to your voicemail and have an electronic spare?

  • Another 100% bullshit fake. Try it from 10 or 20 miles away and see if it works. It doesn't. Anyone who says otherwise is full of shit. Period.

  • ooo ya, whats that little hoe squeezin at the end? not my diiick

  • It works on my 2002 VW. Actually surprised it worked.

  • This is complete bullshit. It is technically not possible. The guy in the video either made this up or he was still in range.

Anyone who knows about electronics, especially RF, and has an understanding of how cell communications work, knows this is simply impossible. You cannot convey an RF signal from a car door opener with a cell phone: a device that is designed to convey audio signals only.

  • cell phones use microwaves not radio waves. New study on that.

  • dude i locked my keys in my car jus a min ago, i might try this but i think its bullshit

  • just because it is 10:30 at night in Michigan and you pulled your daughter out of bed, does not prove your argument valid.

  • There needs to be an explanation to why this won't work. The only thing that comes to play is what goes in your mic on one phone and out the speakers on the other. These mics and speakers can't possibly handle the 500MHz signal that your car needs to unlock. On top of that, even if they could, the phone companies do not transmit these frequencies because transmitting fewer frequencies=saving money on bandwidth

  • BULLSHIT she is holding the car keys in her hand

  • Proven wrong on myth busters

  • Lacking Or unLacking your car

  • it depends on how high of a frequency your key fob operates on.

  • i think this only works on old cars below year 2003. because my grandmas car is a '92 model pontiac and she was on the other side of the house where the car wouldnt pick up the signal and i had the phone and it unlocked it but my moms '06 ford expedition didnt do it.... :(

  • watch?v=Qk-R5s6VpEE

    this is much better

  • tried it on my bmw, and it worked.

  • works on bmw.

  • i tried it the other night it varies with car. i figured out that with fords it will work and with jeeps it wont. 60% of the time it wont work but if cou tap the button repetively it will work also if you hold your cellphone close to the steering wheel it works best

  • @Dancebranson how many cars did you tried this on to come up with 60%? bogus just like you

  • People get way too worked up about these videos, like the one where there's a guy telling you how to build an amplifier using an old shoe! Come on! If you can't see how funny it is, having idiots standing around everywhere trying to unlock their cars with cellphones, then maybe that's damning evidence of your complete lack of humour... :D

  • THIS DOES NOT WORK. end of story

  • lol what aloud of shit, some people are so strange with the things they come up with.

  • I wonder if it would work with a telegraph.

  • I live in Alberta. We're both on Telus cell phones, dunno if that makes a difference. You need to make sure they're both cell phones, not landlines. Nontheless, it worked for both of us

  • UNLACKING lol its unlocking

  • load of crap , i just tried in and nothing

  • Why do all fat Americans wear shorts?

    It looks so ridiculous!

  • I tried that and it worked for me. I could not believe it. But I don't really understand what's happening with this trick. People says it works, other says not. But what is surprisingly is that the one who says no, have programs, like myth busters, or have some kind of company that has to do with cars, or frequence signals. It seems that they are doing whatever possible for this trick to stop spreading. Cause how is it that me, who doesn't know shit, made it 2 miles from the car.

  • I also did this a long time ago, from down the street, and it worked.

  • And how do we know at 1:00 that the second remote was not being used out of camera view?

  • Very much fake!

  • Hey guys we're a locksmith company in Kansas City. We specialize in transponders and remotes and believe me, this Isn't real. And plus Myth Busters busted this one already. I suppose people still believe tennis balls pick your door locks too right? heh

  • Hmm, very interesting. Fuck yourself.

  • it works. i unlock cars for AAA and thats the only way i know to unlocking some new model bmw

  • i has to be fake u can see the string to the second remotes key chain in her hand under the phone

  • stupid, that's a wrist guard for the phone. phones have that nowadays, as they have been. there's a little hole to connect a lanyard string to it so you can hang little trinkets called... oh yes, phone charms! which car key fobs have you see that have a wrist guard for it?

  • ur stupid if u think it will work hell its been proven not to work look it up mith busters even prooved it not to work dumb ass

  • sir confused-a-lot, i never said i believed in it. i just felt the urge to point out your flaw in inferrence that the cellphone wrist guard was not a car-key fob chain, as you had well.. inferred. and... dear poor fellow... it is spelled Myth Busters. Yes, to your possible surprise, the 'y' may also have the 'i' sound. it's just part of the complicated english phonetics system, something you have yet to master.

  • who give a shit if i wanna spell it mith busters i will who are u to judge me

  • lol well i don't think a counter argument like that would be very effective in a court. i'm just presenting a good argument that makes sense. it's not logical to make a mistake and cover it up with a "well i choose to say it that way." because dude, it doesn't work like that. if you tell people to look for "mith busters" guess what.. they will be lost because there is no such shit as "mith busters." goodjob, dude. you totally caught me with that lame-ass comeback.

  • what ever lol

  • **myth

    **proven

    -good day :)

  • shes hot

  • she's a little girl ...

  • This is not fake!, Ive actually done this. It all depends on the car.

    It does work

  • haha i know

  • awesome

  • dude what is ur car??

  • Hey Man! Your Daughter is stealing your car! Hurry Up. Totally Fake

  • so fuckin fake this myth has been disprovoved over and over

  • hey dude if you don't know, then don't talk.don't sit there and said this is fake,or that not real.you better try it first, and then talking shit ok

  • Since the system works on radio waves, not sound, the only conceivable way a signal from your spare remote could be picked up by one cell phone and relayed to your car's onboard receiver by another would be if both phones were capable of sending and receiving at exactly the same frequency as the remote itself - which they can't be, given that all remote entry devices operate at frequencies between 300 and 500 MHz, while all mobile phones, by law, operate at 800 MHz and higher.

  • my Compustar car remote is FM 900 MHz.

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • That 's not fake. You comment-trolls go outside and better try it..then come back :)

It all depends of security systems IN the cars and what type of signal are they using.

  • people r so mean alot of them r potty mouth no need to get ugly with the poor guy

  • Hey BoberMcBoberson, your a liar and a sack of shit. What do you get trying to prove fake shit online?

  • I Hope a blunt object hits you in the head at high velocity. I can't believe your taking such a stand on my posts, especial considering you have never tried it. I know you haven't because if you did you wouldn't be posting. Sorry dude but MythBusters just plain got this one wrong. Does it work on every car NO, but it work on GM, Ford, and what other brands I don't know.

  • WTF Autoblog, this is fake!

  • No, this is real. It works on Ford and GM vehicles and apparently whatever type of car this is, I have done it on several GM and Ford cars myself. It does not work on Most European cars, and does not work on Chrysler products, Because they were owned my Daimler(Mercedes Benz) so there key fobs work like the European cars, that's why it didn't work on MythBuster, the used a Dodge.

  • utterly shit

  • lol his wife probly had the other remote control nice try.....

  • Take this crap down, it's fake.

  • bullshit...tested it and tried it on many different models of cars....doesnt work at all...i have the advantage of working in a car sales yard..so i think my odds are proof i doesnt work on over 300 cars!

  • Your sample selection is crap. If you tried 300 different manufacturers/models, thatd be one thing.

  • fake

  • Wow..im impressed...that like the easiest way to jack a car....

  • FAKE

  • hahaha!!! this is fake.

  • Theoretically, the strong signal from the remote could be coupling into a pre-amp stage in the cell's transmitter. True, the cell's antenna would have poor gain in the 300-500MHz range, and the amplifier is probably tuned to its carrier frequency, BUT it just might be that the total RF energy transmitted in the 300-500MHz range from the cellphone is greater than that from the puny remote. So, through RF coupling, the cellphone might be in effect extending the range of the remote.

  • you are a moron, that what he guy said! the cellphone frequency increases the car remote key's range! dun dun dun! but i think this is fake.

  • It's kind of sad how YouTube is becoming a playground for people who want to do nothing but post wrong/fake information.

  • agreed. or maybe it's just us trying to watch videos about improbable issues ;)

  • It would be tits if this actually worked, but it's too good to be true.

  • yeah mythbusters proved it wrong, the frequences arent compatible.

  • bullshit mythbusters proved it wrong

  • yeah they did

  • @Krisisb0b wel mythbusters are wrong shit face!

  • fake! lol, kewl

  • LACKING and unLACKING your car

  • ninjas....

  • You got your daughter out of bed for this????

  • Ok, the BASIC reason this won't work:

    - Cell phones operate within the frequency range of 800 - 900 MHz (carrier frequency).

    - The normal range of the human voice is roughly in the range of 80 Hz to 1100 Hz.

    - The voice modulates the carrier frequency by that small range.

    - The remote car locks frequency run the range between 300 and 500 MHz.

    - Cell phones have filters preventing other electronic devices from interfering with them and only pick up the small range around the carrier frequency.

  • More basic explanation:

The unlocking system uses EM waves, while mobile phone can recieve and transfer only mechanic waves (sound). Yes, the phone uses EM waves for transferring the information, but you cannot "force" it to transmit the signal needed to open the car.

  • This was busted on Mythbuster, wasn't it?

  • no that was the tennis ball trick

  • it depends on the car and the remoted fucking retards

  • No it doesn't! This doesn't work with any remote or car! I can give you details why it won't work. I am an electronics technician and can explain radio waves, interference, and filtering to you in detail if you want. The plain fact is, it won't work.

I gave in and tried it for myself, because everyone accused me of not even attempting to try it. IT DOESN'T WORK!

  • could I some how record the unlocking feathur on my cell and just use that up close to the door all the time?

  • you can see it way in the background when he presses it .. clearly worked

  • Yeah, either someone else pressed it, nearby or since he was barely out of range, the antenna itself gave the extra range needed. Let's see this done over a span of miles instead of feet. I've tried it with my vehicle from several miles away. IT DOESN'T WORK!

  • cell phones wouldn't pick up radio waves or redistribute them. they pick up and transmit sound via radio waves. this is bull shit

  • depends on the mhz of the remote and also has to do with the phone being in digital or analog mode. a select few accually do work...if yours doesnt then too bad for you.

  • and make sure on your connectivity settings the "packet data" is set to "always on"

    good luck!!

  • this crap doesn't work. i tried this 2 days ago and nothing happend.

  • mythbusters busted this LIER!!!

  • they've been before wrong tho

  • please remove this vid, I don't think you are trying to trick ppl but it simply doesn't work.

  • Maybe the signal of the remote controle is being hooked on the signal of the cell-phone ... maybe the signal is directly transferred over the "sending" cell-phone's antenna - passing the mic. After being sent to the terrestrial antenna and the satellite, it's arriving at the called cell-phone's antenna and this antenna (not the speaker of the phone) tranfers the signal to the car - which opens. Just like a SMS which is transferred from text to wavesignal and back again from antenna to antenna.

  • It seems kind of logical and possible to me ... I'll try it from some kilometers away. If it works, it should work from all over the world.

  • Your still within range of the car dummy

  • noo dummy showed didnt u see dummm ass

  • look closely at 1:00

  • looks like the girl is hiting a beeper right??

  • Sound is herz.

A remote controle lacker and unlacker is also herz. thats why it work

  • Cell phones pick up a range of frequencies(Hz)

However, the remote control broadcasts it's signal in a frequency that the cell phone does not pick up.

If a cell phone we're to pick up all frequency ranges then it would be extremely difficult to encode it to a digital signal for transport, then decode back to a analog waveform to be able to hear it. Simply put, cell phones don't have the frequency range to do anything like this

  • lacking or unlacking

  • holy shit! it worked!!! wow i got to try this..

  • I don't see how this can work. Your cell phone is not made to pick up radio waves and transmit thenm on a call--it's meant to pick up AUDIBLE sound. IOWs the mic on your phone would not react to radiowaves in any manner.

Now, it WOULD be possible to create a transducer with both phones--that would turn radio to sound, then sound back to radio. But if you were going to go to that trouble, you could just have a spare friggin' key!

  • never tried it that way but if you are walking in a mall parking lot and cant find your car you can use the lock button to make it beep. the cool thing is if you stick the remote to your neck it sends the signal further. you can try it just get out of range of your car then stick it to your neck and it should pick the signal up. not sure how much more range you get but w/e just something i have known for a long time

  • I tested this with my car.

and it worked within a block.

my remote doesn't have that much of range.

the cellphone must have helped. just don't know how.

  • i think she 's an underage....

  • Umm it is just me of this video is nonsense. You cant unlock a car with a cell phone remote. The frequencies used is different. Radio waves have higher wavelengths than remotes which uses infrared. The girl could be hiding the car remote in her hand cause majority of the time she was holding her cell phone one of her hand was covered.

  • I feel sorry for the girl

  • its been debunked numerous times

  • It works for me. One time my roommate locked her keys out of her car and instead of driving spare keys to her from the apartment, I unlocked it over the phone for her. She was like 30 miles away too.

  • She legal?

  • That's Bullshit! i've tried it and it don't work! i could see she was pressing the button in the video

  • i've done it 3 times and it works from 200 yds

  • I've tried it and it don't work

  • have the same car keys?

  • what does that have to do with unlocking a car with a cell phone?

  • that depends

if you were tring to use your own keys, then it should have worked.

But the real application for this is someone else has the same car as you do.

I wasn't sure if you were experimenting for the hell of it, or you actually had the prblem. IN which case if you tried to open a ford truck with a chevy car, you would obviously fail

  • También pueden tratar tomándole una fotografía al control y enseñándosela al carro!!! jajajaja

You can also try taking a picture of your remote and showing it to your car!!!! hahahaha

  • Das läuft über infrarot, ein Handy kann aber kein Infrarot übertragen...

  • He unlocked it with his key as he was still within range of the car picking up his transmission-DUH, try this on the other side of town it DOES NOT WORK

  • bullshit the girls has a key u can see her pressing the button on 1:00

  • Bahaha, you just taught me how to break into a car. >:D

  • Yeah, you have to have the owner's key fob though... think about it, ya dummy.

  • myth.

  • try walkign 50miles you might lose a few pounds along the way you fat nerd

  • I will try this Monday at work with a few of my friends and their cars and trucks and Reply back to this post with the results.

  • lol i tried it from about 20miles and i tworks lmfao

  • i tryed this it really works it scared the crap out of me

  • instead of walking 200 yards for crap which is fake how about u walk ur fatass to subways n lose sume fuckin weight

  • lmao

  • fake!if that was sooo real then ur daughter would have been jumping up and down saying it works!or else, she'd be sittin there upset that u pulled her out of bed for no reason!lol

  • tht is so gay and untrue

  • It actually works. The antenna picks up the signal and it gets carried along for the ride. Its got nothing to do with the speaker or microphone, its all about the signal in the antenna.

  • Completelty agree with you there. Had they tried with the Mobile phone a few miles away it would not have worked.

If you in line of sight, then you can actually boost the signal strength of a remote transmitter by holding it to a boney part of the human body, usually the forehead.

This test was shown on TOP GEAR here in the U.K

  • lol nerd!!

  • sad hes got nothing better to do

  • they did this on mythbusters. it was busted. you cannot open your car door this way

  • mine can open at the same distance without using a mobile phone.

  • wut a fuked up dad..even got his daughter to lie at a young age.

  • lol this started as a april fools joke on a news program. it is not real!~!!!

  • fatty mc fat fat fatty balde ya how do you like that are you angry omg omg fatty xD

  • FAKE FAKE FAKE

just look at the guy, he looks like a giant dick-head. who would bring the daughter to do this anyway. asshole. its proven to be false. dont believe me go out of range and try it.

  • nicely said abrmnws xD

  • All of you guys are so stupid and close-minded. None of you guys will improve in your lives cause you guys don't want to try new things. Go ahead and try this and see it will works and if you R wondering how, just google it and u'll find all the answers.

  • Next thing you know people will be unlocking cars with tennis balls.

  • she has a remote hidden in her shorts! what kinda father has his kid up at 1030 so he can do a dumb video lol. if its a clear shot some of these remotes work pretty far at least 50-100 yards

  • working great!!! unbelievable,

the only way to explain this

is that the remote control transmit by a frequency that you can't hear but the cell phone do ...

  • A FUKIN INFRARED BEAM CANNOT TRAVEL AS A EMW...PERIOD. all da rest is bullshit

  • since when did car remotes use A FUKIN INFRARED BEAM? they dont, and probably never have, its not a friggin tv remote dumbass

  • they use infrared...

  • umm, no they dont

  • almost no car alarms are infrared now. They are radio frequencies....why do you think you can lock/unlock cars through the front door of a house, etc.

  • I agree with you, 7789902. And there is NO "PROOF" IN THIS VIDEO THAT YOU CAN OPEN A CAR WITH A CELLPHONE. God knows, there are a hundren different ways to scam a video like this, and its VERY EASY TO DO SO. Maybe another guy was hiding behind the car and pressing the actual remote key... Maybe there was a different key for it.

  • No way...

  • People, it's been debunked by mythbusters and also by snopes. The reason why these videos are here is to redirect your interest in some crappy shit the poster is selling. Usually the people who post such videos are almost always trying to sell you something - it's a cheap gimmick. Then they send their bitches here and give some "specific details" ie: "oh, it worked on my cousins 1989 Dodge Viper" - but most intelligent people know it's all bs so why the lie? To sell you worthless shit.

  • this worked on a 98 model ford AU

  • nice this idea is ingenious
