  • fantastic!

  • WOW!!!...Didn't realise that one of my favourite artists sang this....What an artist with such a beautiful voice. My friend lived in De Freville Avenue Cambridge...That's where Olivia Newton John's family once lived.before they emigrated to Australia...smiles....I was so pleased because I lived not far away too...It made my day as Olivia Newton John was one of my very favourite artists at the time ..smiles...I think she should have lived a few streets down Sandy Lane...that would have been cool.

  • Olivia said that Joan Baez was her biggest influence, that must be where she heard this song.

  • @taddyd1 This is a old folk song that goes back to the late 1800s if not futher,, though one of Olivia's crew played with the lyrics a bit. I can't remember if it was John Farrar or John Rostill or someone in that group.

  • Great Song & What a lady to beat Breast Cancer gives hope to many more

to Sisters .Mothers. Daughters,& all Breast Cancer Sufferers and to others

  • @djbillybop Speaking of kids, how could someone that looks like Olivia Newton-John possibly have the words second ugliest celebrity kid (after Rumer Willis)

  • valamikor az életem Nőjének tartottam(volna)

  • She was lovely here but got even better in the next few years.

  • Dieses Video ist gut

  • I love the disgusted way Cliff walks off with his bag! Classic! Slumped shoulders and everything!

  • olivia is fucking hottttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt

  • Isn't That à funny clip. She was and is great.

  • nice job of butchering this great old american folk song olivia

  • i wa nt her panties even now

  • who do you think is prettier bar rafaeli or olivia newton john when she was young?

  • OLIVIA NEWTON JOHN of course. BTW, who is bar rafaeli? Sorry.

  • I'm shocked she is singing this. I'm used to Johnny Cash or Glen Yarborogh(?) singing this song. She gave it a new feel. I guess it proves she can sing many different tunes.

  • I believe you. She's really a beautiful woman. I wish I had been born 40 years earlier (instead of 89) I would be the same age as her. (I would have a very very very very very very little chance:):):):))

  • Every guy in the 1970s who saw her sing fell in love with her. I sure did....saw her in person twice. She was remarkable!

  • I would love to hear this on American Idol !! I have never seen this footage but not only do I love it, Kudos to Cliff Richard!!!. I may be from lower slower Delaware, but know great music when I hear it.

  • Love Olivia, what a voice! Still searching for 'The river's too wide' and no sign of it anywhere! Has anyone else heard of it???

  • The song "the river's too wide" is on the album "If you love me let me know".

    Track one, side two.

  • The River's Too Wide is on her If You Love Me (Let Me Know) album/cd.

  • Great song indeed!

  • TO JE ALE HLAS.

  • This song and this voice make me dream...

  • Yeah, me too. There's no more angelic voice to hear these days and i feel sad. I was listening to this song this afternoon when i was in a bus and i felt like i wanted to float.

  • oh really? try corinne bailey rae.

  • I didn't know this girl until today. You are right, i like the style of singing and she has a fantastic voice like every singer has. OLIVIA's voice is never heard from other singers. I mean, the uniqueness is there.....and "magic" too. You know. Anyway, thanks for telling me about Corrine Bailey Rae. She is really good.

  • olivia look so beautiful on the early 70,s And her Smile Is so Pretty.

  • Well well well, what a nice place and song.

    Way to go Livi!

  • Love Olivia and this song!

  • That looks like sweden :)

  • It is Sweden.

  • @Oerni1993

Correct, this is recorded in Sweden, just outside Stockholm (approx 30 km north east), in the lovely town of Vaxholm, the city of Stockholm archipelago :)

  • I have these photos in my sisters photo album, got me stuffed how she got them but fuck they are real.

  • Ahhhhh!!I remember this from when i was a lil nippa!!I loved it then an it STILL sounds pretty good to me!!Olivia is so gorgeous in this (and remained so for many years!!)Nice ta hear it again...B+

  • Great song. I've never seen this video. I appreciate you posting this one, too. Thank you. Olivia is the greatest singer.

  • i love olivia xoxoxox

  • Is it Cliff on the backing vocals?

  • oh, really?

  • No though he seems as acting here ;-). Afaik they were John Farrar and Bruce Welch (Hank Marvin has a bit higer voice). Btw, they say The Shadows started to live them alone, after Sir Cliff leaved the band after that "Power to all our friends" failed to won Eurovision Song Contest. So they needed a new start and Olivia was perfect for.

  • It's "Banks of the Ohio", not Bangs!

  • Look at Cliff in his yellow suit!!
