The British tax payer has paid ever so generously to bail out The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), allowing the American Corporate food giant KRAFT to borrow from the RBS, to buy outright Britians last remaining industrial jewel in the crown 'Cadburys' chocolate manufacturer for £12 billion. Further more, jobs will be lost in the UK as a result of the take over.

The job losses will be bad, but lets not forget that RBS can't grow again without making money from large business deals. Don't forget that the bailout means britain owns 85% of the bank. If RBS grows, hopefully it can be sold back again, and the british economy wont do so badly.

well i suppose its no good me complaining now about a chocolate factory when water and power supply companies were sold off the foreign corporations - Wether cadburys workers get screwed or not is now at the whim of a foreign corporation - thats my point, i may be commercially ignorant but i dont understand how the sale of cadbury is a good thing for our economy, it now joins the long list of quality assets that are now owned by foreign companies, so what are we now as a country?
