  • @iliketha lol an inch is a lot in terms of balance :p

  • i love how the point of balance is practically identical on all the swords yet you say some are better than others

  • i love this great videos keep up the great work!!!

  • that looks like a bastard sword judging from the hilt, but its built like an arming sword... weird.

  • @SwordBuyersGuide what music do you use in this video its quite catchy

  • @Sareth14 What would you do with it? A cheap sword wouldn't look to good on a wall, so unless your planning to kill someone it would be useless. Furthermore there is no such thing as cheap but good swords, even factory made ones cost over a hundred bucks. However if your not planning to use in self defense or any other type of combat and just want one to like swing around and put on display, then a wooden sword would be the way to go. I have one that I bought at the mall for like $15.

  • I was really taken back by the way you present yourself with the sword, which makes me wanna get the sword or swords that you are presenting! Great job..

  • hi paul, i saw one of your videos a few days ago and was wondering if u could do a review of the valiant armory crusader. maybe if u could, i would like to see it compared to the castille

  • The DSAs look horrible. Clunky fittings, no distal taper, and that tacky finish. They work if you want a sharpened club that looks like a sword, but if you want a good sword at a reasonable price, look elsewhere.

  • Don't you know swords can fucking cut you wide open!

  • @knarfster Yea he knows and he is taking the precautions necessary I can assure you.

  • Hi Paul, I really like my Kriegschwert, and I recently bought an "Austrian Greatsword" from Christian Fletcher.

It should be an incredible cutter, it's blade is 2.25" wide and has the same fittings as my Kriegschwert.

  • how come you talk in some videos but not others?

  • I just bought a Kriegschwert on ebay for $309.

I couldn't make one as cheaply because of the man hours required.

I could make 3 or 4 Damascus knives each worth as much as this sword in the same amount of time.

For that reason the only swords I make are pattern welded viking swords.

This looks like a damned nice sword to me.

  • What does all that translate to into metric?

I'm not to good at weight conversion :D

  • Paul, your techniques have grown wonderful. A sideeffect of all these sword testings it must be. ;-)

  • you look like you have lost some weight :]

  • please tell me the song in the begining! its so nice

  • Hi Paul, I purchased some swords from SBG and was very happy, nice hefty swords.

I like these videos where you talk a bit more about the weapons. Balance is definitely a very important consideration for me.

Whether you have a heavy, durable sword, or nice, agile lightweight, balance is very, very important. And not just for technique, but also for endurance. If you have a tip-heavy sword, you can definitely get tired from swinging it 100 times or more, especially if it's a one-handed sword.
