  • Just saw the moving Rorschach masks on Ebay! Can you make those? Guess I'm buying one! lol

  • in spanish please :(

  • Whats wrong with the sound dude? Good tutorial, you need to stop saying "Anyhoo" though!

  • hmm... It's cool that you don't have to double or triple layer, but you can't see anything through a t-shirt...

  • I've worked my way up to a thermochromatic paint (and it's AWESOME), but this is a great vid for people who don't want to shell out $40 on ink alone.

Not everyone's a cosplayer; sometimes they just like Halloween :P

  • OR THEY JUST LOVE RORSCHACH!! lmao.. i've just gotten more and more in love with his look, and i really want a moving mask like this a hella great one, and i want to make the whole costume myself, it'll add to my collection of odd things.. so its a win win

  • Enjoy Being sterile, the thermochromatic paint is not good when your breathing it in. Thats the only reason I'm not gonna use that.

  • All depends on what who you go through: there's sites hosting companies who specialize in manufacturing completely non-toxic ink for others that make T-shirts (or people who design their own).

So long as you order in large quantities, they usually won't mind selling thermochramatics.

  • I think tht I am gonna use the layers of tightsvonly cu it look more real because it basically sticks to your face and neck instead of having flappy parts. Plus you don't need to sew it. Great idea though I hope you can find a way to improve it

  • yeah I just made and it's awsome. Now all I need is a trench coat some brown gloves purple pants and a brown hat. ( lol ).

  • Dude awsome tutorial I only have a problem cuz I can't seem to figure out where to cut the T-shirt ( yeah I'm tht stupid). Is it in the armpit than over to the other armpit?

  • should i use a small shirt im 12

  • It would take quite a lot out of the shirt, and it will probably need some more percise stitching here and there.

Hope that answered your question, don't mind me I was just some random guy strolling around youtube when I found your comment. Lol.

Btw, don't use a black sharpie!

  • lol ur using a sharpie!

  • soz couldn't watch you need to upgrade your camera or whatever it is thats making the noise

  • must hire artist friend and some idiot to do this for me....

  • i kinda used the same idea you had but i couldnt sow so instead i cut it off a pair of old loose pajama pants. oh and i also have the same design like you have on my mask thank you very much. :)

  • the heat reactive paint would be even cooler

  • Good stuff, man. Great tutorial. I think I'll do this instead of the dancing tights. I'm going over your tutorial on cutting it now. Thanks for the post. My friends and I are making a bit of a Watchmen spoof video, so I want to make a good Rorschach costume.

  • glad to be of some help let me know if you got any more questions or comments :)

  • You're very cool, i'm making a rorschach costume and I searched a tutorial like that, but I have some questions: Can you see easily through the mask? And do you have a tip in order that the mask is more "slim" (sorry about my bad english) around the neck? Thanks!

  • yes its farily easy to see through the mask even more so when you have the black over your eyes. im working on new way of making my mask so the neck is a lil more slim but the best way to get it to look slim is to make it long enough for your scarf to cover. hopefully that helps if you any other questions just let me know

  • hey my mask i used sharpie and it keeps smudging ive let it dry for 2 days with sharpie and its still smudging when i put it on. please reply it would be appreciated

  • hmmm? thats a lil strange i didnt have that problem when i had used a sharpie and i wore the mask while it was still fresh. to be honest ive no idea how to fix that :( if i did id tell you

  • maybe its the tights im using

  • that could be it, though i do recomend instead of sharpie try looking for a non-toxic fabric pen

  • thanks man

  • no prob, btw saw your video it could be the material your using to make the mask may not allow the ink to dry properly hence the smudging, well that looks like what it most likely maybe

  • Blowo dry it.

  • thanks man it worked

  • No probs.

  • is it hard to breathe?

  • no its not

  • Ok, cool thanks. Great video 5* It looks a lot better than panties lol.

  • sweet kick'n killer mask dude m making one, and where would you buy heatpaint

  • i have no idea about the heat paint some guy on youtube did it

  • I wonder if anyone, like professionally, has made it the way they described in the book? (viscous liquid in 2 layers of latex) but then again he did say it was inspired by dr. Manhattan, so probably not.

  • actually there is one guy on youtube who actually made a moving rorschach mask look him up its pretty kool he uses heatpaint

  • dude briliant method, im gonna have to go with it, dont wanna look like a petophile buying tights from the store, if u can do me two favors, 1. hold up a still image of one of your inkblots, 2. creat a video that just explains how to cut up the t-shirt

    thanks!!!

    -huey

  • yea i think ill have to make a more detailed vid about the shirt cutting :/ and ill do somthing for the inkblots too just be sure to keep an eye out for it and spread the word about my youtube page ^^

  • awesome im gonna do this

  • wat kind of cloth...SOMEONE HELP ME IM SO CONFUSED

  • you can use a Hanes t-shirt or a Fruit of the loom shirt, i used an old T-shirt that i got from work thats a pretty soft cotton shirt if you need help finding a good type of shirt let me know via message ill help out alil more

  • any who any who any who SHUT UP!!!!!!!! lol JK i do the same thing nice mask its better than the other one i see on youtube

  • yea im sorry about the anyhoo thing :/ i tend to do that when im unscripted even with simple stuff

  • Kind confused on how to cut the T-shirt can u explain it again, It would really be helpful! Overall a great way to make the mask. It'll save me the trouble from buying tights.

  • just buy two white tube socks and cut them in half a sew. make a stencil of your own or favorite design and paint it on. if you are worried about being able to see out of it then mark where your eyes are and cut holes, fill with black tights.done.
