  • i love this keyboard but i didnt got this cause of my budget but the sound quality on this keyboard is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo awesome

  • I' m Yokuh Mada )))))))))))

  • Don't buy the S550, Yamaha came out with the S650 at the Sumner NAMM Show. It will have more features, including the possibility to add new samples and thus to increase the number of voices available.

  • @albanbach You are right. You can find videos of the S650 around here and at the Yamaha website.

  • im thinking of getting one of these my casio wk3500 is getting a bit old now.

  • I really want this Keyboard

  • To be honest the weakest sound in this keyboard is the Grand Piano. Every other voice sounds great. The piano is so bellish. On the next keyboard please replace the grandpiano with soft sounding grandpiano seen on s710 and s910.

  • good demojob

  • Gostei mais da Japonezinha!!!!!!!

  • I present to you: Yuki Shimada

    the keyboard robot.

  • I want to have my psr-s710 in black, too.

The "silver" looks very cheapo, becase you can see its plastic.

  • tenho um teclado destes....é muito bom!

  • I really enjoyed this new model of yamaha, sorry I can not buy one now.

  • I really enjoyed this new model of yamaha, sorry I can not buy one now.

  • i love the "Fargo & Analogon"!!

  • Our supermarkets should use that and similarities for t.v. commercials rather than married women who can't sing.

  • Yo Yuki, what do you think about a love story with Bert Somenburg??

  • @VirtualSoundtrack shes married

  • does this have arpeggio function?

  • @Dhruv1223 No, it doesn't have it.

  • Yeah, I just bought this keyboard! Awesome!

  • What's the price of this instrument ??

  • @gabrieltqm69 it is between $750 and $999 US Dollars on line depending where you google it

  • jolie son bravo

  • ATTENTION: Why,after 27 years (the creation on the dx7, yamaha company is still building keyboards that can trasmiit midi data only in midi channel 1?

For this reason is nt possible to control an external midi expander over the midi channel 1.

The psr 550,is a great keyboard by the way.

  • they should make more keyboard videos like this.

  • Háá eu vou querer um desse pra mim =D

    já vou compra ^^

  • Very good!

    you are a good player

one day i will be like you... I hope

  • DOes it read rhytms file for tyros? It'd be the same 16 channel pattern right? ANd how about the models 550 and 550b what's exactly the difference between them, I'd really like an answer on that.. I'm about to buy one of this, and I'm in doubt between this and the korg pa... does it really get to let you design your own styles?

  • @jomarcavalcanti Yes, it redads the tyros styles (but only if these are sty-files). And the difference is only a different colour. And you really can design your own styles.

  • Its the player that makes the keyboard not the keyboard that makes the player :D

  • @ThePolishOne1 , true, and pretty obvious too, but the instrument is very important too, and the more you like the instrument you have, the more inspired you get and the better you play.....there's no other way around that either

  • nice fingers :)

  • Hello how are you? how you managed to change the tempo without changing pitch? if the keyboard has FREEZE? Thank you.

    Lauro Junior

    Bahia, Brazil

  • I Want one!

  • this movie is not spectaculiar now this is boring why not rocks

  • @tupac123ify je kont gat

  • what is the difference between s550 and s500?

  • @RaduCiprian95 hey this is boring

  • ahhaha até forró? isso é um ritmo tipicamente brasileiro...será que aí no japão vocÊS escutam forró também??

  • which is better? the psr s550 or the roland juno-g or the gw 8?

  • hi i just buy new s550 let me know plz that can i conect mic with this keyboard and how to conect???thenx

  • Does anyone know if this keyboard has good synth tones?

  • yamaha web sites suck they have no prices on them so they suck big time

  • your good at keyboard

  • What's the name of the style used in the first song (Everybody need Somebody to love)?

  • WHAT'S THE PRICE OF THIS KEYBOARD ?

  • Yamaha not only has tons of great electronic instruments, they also have many cute girls. Just with the difference that you cannot buy them :D

  • i've got this one, but not in black, mine is white/silver ^^....wow, almost a year ago (i got it since last christmas)

    i like it^^

    (sry for bad english)

  • jestem juki śmada chuj kto podskoczy :P ;]

  • This keyboard have the "Fade in" and "Fade Out" functions??

  • Нет слов, круто. На таком бояне отмачивать такое

  • so mais o meu roland

  • @toosexymyquinoto didn't get why the laugh it's a regional style. probably you have something from your nationality also right?!

  • does it have at least a punch in/out feature? It has no microscope editing.

  • I was buying it,but first I have read the manual.

Strangely ,the sequencer is too basic. You cannot edit or correct single notes. Only erase entire tracks. That puts me off because this keyboard sounds good and looks good. I don't like silver keyboards

  • Yeah, I dont like silver keyboard too. Black looks more proffessional in my opinion.

  • @KingArthur8 I've stopped buying many keyboards just for being silver. mine is a yamaha psr85 antigão, but at least it's little black

  • @KingArthur8 Strongly agree. The Nord Keyboards look the most professional in my opinion. I also like using my Korg Triton Pro. It is very professional.

  • @BrandonProductions1 not sure i get your pint it doesn't matter what color a keyboard is as long it's good

  • @SamplingMastersAZURE Well true I agree. The only grey workstation I like, is my KORG Triton Pro.

  • @BrandonProductions1 Don't even get me started on the Korg Triton Pro. That thing..omfg...that thing is what I call a workstation.

  • @KingArthur8 , definitely....they just look more serious, silver looks toy-like

  • are the effects good on this?

  • ha ha including the motif? won't it be awsome if they had a black variant ?

  • price????

  • about 600 euros

  • £500 ish

  • hi everybody, i want to buy a new keybord but i doubt which i have to buy my choice is between a yamaha psr-s550, roland-e50, roland prelude and korg 500 which is the best choice guys?

  • if youre into the acoustic sound such as piano, buy this product, but if youre into the techno sounds, go for the prelude.

  • hi

PSR s 550 is good but dont have freeze in it it is better to but korg pa500 really coll and have that weight in tones and rhythem

  • is it case sensitive?

  • I bought this keyboard a few days ago, and I must say that it's really good considering that it's so cheap! I bought it only for playing, as I have the stuff I need for music production on the computer already, and it's perfect for that case. I'm positive it can be used for production also though, maybe I'll try it someday.

  • can one plug this into an amp?

  • ya!

  • of course!

  • Sure - there is a line out output on the back of the keyboard which you can use the 1/4" (TRS) guitar cable to plug directly into an amp.

  • @mjb0 yahhh

  • @mjb0 Yes, if you use a fitting cable via Phones out

  • @mjb0 Yes, it has an output for headphones or to an amplifier.

  • @mjb0 yes u can

  • Can't believe Portable Grand and PSR-S500, including PSR-S550 doesn't have as much styles as PSR-E413, but they have better quality ones.

  • en mi pais colombia cuesta al rededor de 1,700,000 pesos

  • CUAL ES EL PRECIO?

  • can psr-s550 make a new beat...like psr3000? i mean produce song...

  • hello

Can I load a user Style with OTS associated ? (to my yamaha PSR S 500)

  • Of course.

  • Keyboard nice, playing nice, woman nice,so many beautiful things at once is nice to see...dont happen to often, its all good.

  • does it have guitar slides function? like psr s500

  • nice fingernails ...

now i have to choice btween this one S550 and roland GW8 ...

    gw8 costs a little bit more ...

  • thats a tought choice ... idk if i should get the pa50 or s700

  • Wow, that's gonna be a tough choice between these two models. I suggest you look at a few main differences between them. The GW's soundset is from Roland's top end FantomX and the Sonic Cell. It's more pro orientated and will allow you to do some basic patch editing. The S550 has no patch editing and the sounds are from the PSR line. Also consider one records user styles internally and the other does not. The Roland will be built better. Poly difference is HUGE too. One is 64 and the other 128!

  • very good

  • Dieses Video ist sehr gut informierend für jemenden wie mich , der dabei ist, sich ein neues Keyboard zu kaufen.

    diedoering

  • She says the keyboard has 160 styles.. But it has 176 styles actually.. How could they make such a mistake on a demonstration video??

  • i having trouble recording a quick and simple piano tune without any accompaniemt and playing it back. If anyone can help me i would really apreciate it.

    Thanks

  • what's the second voice she uses?

  • Cool! Elec Organ. Maybe with other organ layered.

  • Can I use it as a MIDI-keyboard?

  • Depends on how you want to use the Midi. Yamaha (for whatever reason) has dropped the "standard midi jacks" and included only a Midi USB. If you want to use this with your computer you'll be fine, but if you want to midi this to control other gear....., well you're outta luck there.

  • Maybe Yamaha did that to save production costs. Only the more expensive keyboards still have midi jacks. They should really reconsider that decision.

  • @sauermusicDE no, you can use the USP ti host as a midi in this instrument

  • Comment removed

  • @lawlelo Probably you mean USB-to-Host (when connecting to a computer for sequencing) but you are missing the point here. The problem of missing midi jacks is not that you don't have midi functionality (of course you have) but that you cannot connect your keyboard directly to an older midi synth like Yamaha DX7, Roland JX-8P, Korg M1 or whatever. I'm still waiting for a midi patchbay to enter the market like the good old Roland A880 or the Akai ME30P but with 8 USB jacks and 8 midi jacks.

  • @sauermusicDE oh, yes you've got a point there.... i agree it is a problem

  • This keyboard is great..and also very cheap =)

  • I think the PSR-E413 is better because it has more sounds and has a built in synthesizer and cheaper i think.

  • The S550 puts the E413 to shame PERIOD. This thing has twice the poly, better quality voices, 16 trk sequncer, style sequencer (meaing it LOOPS as well), better speakers, just all around WAY more keyboard than the cheapo E413. It's not even fair to compare these two because their features are so far apart. I wouldn't even insult the keyboard world and call the E413 a synth because in terms of what a synth is.., the E413 SERIOUSLY falls short in that area...

  • S550 better than E413? Why? Where are potenciometer knobs on S550? And more important - arpeggio? (BTW I wouldnt buy keyboard without arpeggio now, it puts your performance on much higher level). And better quality voices on S550? How do you recognize? On these better speakers? Dont be funny! On these plastic machines you recognise no difference at all in quality of samples! And finally: E413 costs 1/2 of S550...

  • This keyboard has better sound quality and also full XG compatible.. And I think E413 has 32 sound polyphony..But this one has 64.. Also better styles..

  • The only thing that is not so good in all the line os PSR Keyboards, is the excessive "vibrato" in the Trombone, Trumpet and sax, when pressed at a large time, there are no manner to be free of this fucking bad effect! Yamaha corporation would had to think about this troublesome, but in the other sounds, like Acoustic Gran Piano, and electronic piano, are so good! I got an PSR 540, and it were a great Portatone Keyboard, Good Lucky, and regards to all the Musichians that have an Yamaha Keyboard.

  • Man.., I agree with you 100% about Yamaha's over use of the vibrato on instruments. What's even worse is the LFO settings are FIXED within the patches and you cannot change that. It makes for a very boring solo instrument when the thing modulates at the exact same spot and time on each note. Yammie's Sweet Saprano is also another good example. It not only has a fixed LFO setting, but every single note you press has a volume swell at the exact same place.., and you can't adjust that either.

  • squeakdog, would you prefer the sound of psr s550b instead of juno di / d when it comes to piano sound??? im really having a hard time choosing whether ill get a yamaha or roland in considering its quality sounds. by the way, where did the juno di /d get their piano sound engine??? did roland get it from the fantom g sound engine?

  • This keyboard is Excelent! LukaszR, Poland

  • Whats the difference between this and a YAMAHA MM6?

  • There's actually some big differences. The S550 has 64 note poly (twice what the MM6 has). S550 has 16 trk seq. (MM6 has 8 trk). Both are arrangers, but S550 records user styles. S550 has FULL styles (intros, endings, ect) MM6 does not. MM6 has Motif "flavored" sounds, plus basic synth parameters (S550 has NO synth function). MM6 has pitch/mod and S550 only has pitch wheel. S550 has NO midi jacks (only USB). MM6 has standard midi jacks and USB. MM6 also ships with seq. software.

  • Its ok, but I don't think its a good demonstration of the POWER of the PSR-S550

  • Thank you for this excellent demonstration! This what I was searching for!

  • Comprei este teclado, excelente instrumento, eu possuia um PSR 530 e este está a anos-luz dele (Brasil).

I bought this keyboard last week, excellent instrument, I recommend to all.

  • hello sir, good day..i just kindly ask if how much you bought PSR-S550?thanks >>>
