I respect George Carlin's opinion but I don't agree. EVERYONE should try to vote. If there are politicians you really don't like then don't vote but don't let it go out too often.
To Ron Paul supporters: History teaches us that all great empires fall. Rome, Egypt, Mongolia, Babylon, all have vanished mainly because they had governments that started off good but got worse because humans suck at leading one another.
America is yet another instance of a great empire that is following the same route. Ron Paul will not save America because the human race cannot grasp the basic concept of leading themselves instead.
Stop being zombies, reject the system and lead yourselves.
@MrEniena I'm so tired of hearing about that stupid old bastard Ron shitty ass Paul. Fuck him. He's another lying greedy self important arrogant politician. ALL YOU FUCKING APES IN HERE CHANTING AND RAVING ABOUT RON PAUL (OR WHATEVER), THINKING HE IS THE NEW RENAISSANCE: YOU NEED TO SHUT THE FUCK UP AND PICK YOUR DUMB HEADS OUT OF YOUR ASSHOLES AND REALIZE: IT DOESN'T MATTER WHOM YOU ELECT.

HE's ABSOLUTELY RIGHT! About it all. Elections are exactly what he says - a fraud, and this country was long ago paid for... by the Federal Reserve, a privately owned bank which, for some reason, prints US dollars, often out of thin air. RON PAUL wants to END THE FED. He is a real solution to the fraudulent election process and endless wars... If you should ever vote, do it now!
@HYTUBEH He's just throwing out random conspiracy-theory shit, saying "DOWN WITH THE ESTABLISHMENT, MAN!"
He's not naming names, dates, or events where this supposedly started, or who's keeping it going and how; and that discredits legitimate researchers, like my channel-vid.
I'm not voting either George, I salute you. I hate both political parties, they are nothing but corrupt worthless fucking pieces of shit. @SovereignStatesman Ok, I have noticed that you spend a large amount of your time arguing with people about this pointless debate. So I say, toodaloo, sir. Otherwise, I'd be disappointing Mr. Carlin by subjecting myself to improper social government applicants, such as yourself.
1. Not a surrender, but a low tolerance level for strangers on the Internet.
2. George Carlin was a revolutionary with a solid mind, and the ability to turn it into comedy. I respect him in all aspects, and whether or not he respects me, is not a big deal. You know, cuz he's NOT ALIVE.
What's an offensive word? I don't get offended if someone says fuck? If someone says this country is shit, or George Bush was a cunt, are you offended?
@logibear123 It's subjective and this is the poster's channel. I have no idea what Bush has to do with anything. Guess you're trying to politicize things because you don't understand how someone could have higher standards than you do.
Americans vote with their eyes. It's a fashion show. Don't you think if Steve Forbes looked like Tom Cruise he'd be elected? Of course, Newt Gingrich does look like the spawn of Fred Flintstone and Susan Boyle. And he's catholic, which is almost as kooky as mormonism. Oh Christ, please save me from your followers. No, I don't misunderstand his position, I understand that he's going to change NOTHING because you people refuse to do it yourselves and want someone else to do all the heavy lifting for you. That's not wanting change, that's just plain laziness.
@MrEniena Ron Paul wants to abolish the majority of the government and limit government intervention and legislation in individuals lives. He believes in protecting the ideals in the Constitution that shields people from the encroaching nanny state headed up by big government.
He is the ONLY candidate that tells the people they are free to lead themselves and make their own decisions.
@MrMonkeyThumbsticks You want real change? Here's some things you can do for a start: refuse to pay taxes, defy selective service, ignore unjust laws; anything to reject the system that you hate.
But if you really want change then grab a gun, buy some bullets, draw up strategies and start an actual revolution against the system. You supporters could even make Ron your new overlord if you win that.
So please grow the fuck up and start doing things for yourself already.
@MrMonkeyThumbsticks My comment was compressed due to the limitations Youtube puts on comments. But my message what I mean is that we have gotten to the point in history that peaceful, lawful revolution is not working because the system is fubar. Change at this point really going to have to come through violence, which is something those colonial "primitives" in the American Revolution knew as well.
Sorry you may find that offensive, but it's the bitter truth.
@MrEniena I don't find it offensive, I just find it to be an antiquated and frankly retarded way of thinking.
There hasn't been a proper attempt at reforming the government yet- peaceful or otherwise- so to claim violence is the only possible option is just an assertion without evidence.
War is a primitive act that relies on collectivist thinking to get people to die for someone else's cause and feel proud doing it.
Like I said before, I'm sticking with logic and reason.
Wasn't the constitution written by slave owners? I'd rather live in social democratic capitalism than the anti-worker dream of the people who wrote the constitution.
@pulsatingremedy It is unfortunate that capitalism is the best system civilization has implemented so far- it is true a free market encourages diplomacy and cooperation but it is still an antiquated system driven by base human instincts that promotes greed and rewards corruption.
And you can fault the founding fathers for personal actions but you have to admit the Constitution is a solid document.
Civilization doesn't implement economic modes of production. Modes of production come into being by class warfare. We live in a capitalist society because the capitalist class (with some popular support) terminated the feudal mode of production. The future society that will be ruled by workers can only coming into being if the workers of today fight for it.
@pulsatingremedy Knowing history is important for a variety of reasons but you cannot use that to assert certainty about future events.
Communication is undeniably a core component of why our civilization is as awesome as it is and now the world is connected like it never has been before.
I'm all for fighting but I prefer to settle a conflict with thought.
Violence should be an act of defense, not a way of accomplishing a goal.
@MrMonkeyThumbsticks I got a little too into my replies to you and stepped over the line when I said violence was the only answer; but that doesn't change the fact that too many humans have become stubbornly obstinate to mentally evolve to a point where they find peace preferable to force. Peace is irrelevant where the bloodthirsty majority is concerned and you're going to have to accept the fact that too many people on this planet will fall back on that solution that not.
Which is why I said that I don't know what the future will hold, but whatever the future society will be, it will based on what we are doing today. If we have a revolution today, then we won't have the same social relations tomorrow.
"I'm all..a goal."
Currently fighting is done by the ruling class. The status quo IS violent. No ruling class in the history of mankind has stepped down peacefully.
Let me ask you die hard Ron Paul supporters a question. You keep saying that Ron Paul is our only hope and things are going to get better if becomes president. You do understand that you're saying you lack the ability to lead yourselves, so you need someone like him to do it for you, right?
Why are you acting like children? Grow up and start being your own representatives for once.
You want change? There's your first step in getting it.
@MrEniena I think you misunderstand Ron Paul's position and why he is so popular. He is a conservative libertarian that strongly promotes individual rights and liberties, so if you support Ron Paul then you should acknowledge the fact that you CAN lead yourself and don't need big daddy government managing your life for you.
Instead we have private employers managing my life. Ron Paul wants to reintroduce the 14-hour work day; abolish minimum wages; abolish social security. Sweatshop labor will return to America. How is that freedom? It's wage servitude.
@GodOfTheInternets So do you have proof he specifically said this? I honestly doubt you do because it sound absolutely nothing like his policy and sounds a lot more like empty rhetoric cranked out by the massive smear campaign that has been seeking to bury him for years.
Ron Paul, Ron Paul, Ron Paul... Jesus Christ. Fuck him and fuck the rest of them. People seriously think if he ever gets into office it's all just gonna get better? Some people haven't learnt anything have they? Just stop caring people. Things are never gonna get better and you'll never be a free person so long as a state and economic system exist. Here's the best thing you can - REJECT IT. Reject it and be nothing but yourself. Peace x
@justforpoox Yeah yeah. Resisting is wasting time my friend. What do you expect to achieve? If EVERYONE would just stop staring at their fucking iphone for a moment, wake up to the truth and overthrow the whole system, then I'll hold up my hands and say you were right. But what did George just say? The public sucks. It's not gonna happen
@IKilledElviss i dont personally believe an active, possibly armed, over throw is nessisary. i believe you defend you and yours to the current legal extent and make a strong attempt at changing things through the system. then you raise the next generation to understand the ideas of liberty and they do the same.
"Stop caring" is not a solution. In fact, it's absolutely the core of the problem. Sure, not Ron Paul or anyone else can magically fix the States, but don't post this vague, unsubstantiated keyboard warrior bullshit ("reject it and be yourself"? what the hell does that even mean in any practical sense?) on the internet thinking you're wise in any way, shape or form. Encourage real ACTION - even if that's not as popular a position as your sensationalist comment.
@xXNickPXx You know exactly what it means. Forget everything you're expected to believe and do and do whatever it is you want. Here's one crock of bullshit they expect you to believe - You have a voice, and your voice counts. Nope. You don't and it doesn't. These 'activists' really think they're changing things. It's an illusion. It makes people feel important and powerful, which is the main reason why they do it. But as long as the powerful remain powerful, nothing will change
@IKilledElviss xXNickPXx has a point, if you're going to encourage people to not vote and hence do not give their consent to the system, then you need to do more that that. Even if the majority of were to not vote at all, all that accomplishes is to send a big message that the government has lost the consent of the people and therefore is not wanted. They're just going to ignore that, keep ruling, and elect leaders without permission.
I suppose activists in Egypt and Libya didn't actually change anything. They just wanted to feel powerful and important. It had nothing to do with genuinely desiring social change. And of course, no activist in North America could possibly desire the same kind of change in their own country.
Honestly, your position is ridiculous and self-important. If you too think there is something wrong with your country, don't justify inaction to yourself, admit you're lazy.
@xXNickPXx Activists certainly want social change, but it really does fulfill that selfish instinct. As for the Arab spring, the divisions in the Egyptian movement have already shown up with the Muslim Brotherhood being elected in and it's gonna get nasty when they're fighting amongst themselves. Whoever gets the power down there will keep it. I do hope I'm wrong dude. And I hope I get proven wrong, but I think activism is meaningless. Happy to respectfully disagree x
I suppose what you mean is that trying to change/bring down a system while still within that very same system, or using that system again despite knowing it has already failed many times before, is useless. In which case I agree with you.
It was just the "do nothing" and "reject it and do whatever you want" part that I had a problem with, because that doesn't fix anything (and will still have powers in place imposing their will over you for doing so...)
Ron Paul is either corrupt or an idiot as well :P He seems to believe that reducing the amount of government intervention on markets + tax brackets will stop corporations having as much power.... By letting them do as they wish :D
Five BS things you need to say obe "elected" to be President:
1.Promise to end the wars and bring troops home(lie)
2.Promise lower the taxes (actually only for top 1% rich)
3.Bashing big govt, universal healthcare and other govt wealfares (meanwhile himself and his families enjoy govt wealfares funded by other people's tax money)
4.Bashing China for domestic unemployment and trade deficit (Shift blame)
5. Swear on his/her mother's grave to support Israel (always)
@SleepingSun1985 , You know? you are correct, America does not deserve Ron Paul. He is to good for you. You deserve Mr. Romney. or Obama. They will be glad to take more young American soldiers to die in illegall undeclared wars. Next up, Iran. Your dept will get deeper, Government will control liberties and rights for you. I do feel sorry for the true American and few Americans who are voting for Dr. Ron Paul. More than angry, I am disapointed. But also sad. bye.
@branhoff I just want to know what fantasy dream world you're living in, history will always repeat itself you must not of read much of it.. I bet modern day America looks just about how Germany did in the late 1930's right about now.
Carlin's message is loud and clear: people love to blame one person or a small group of people for all the problems in this world, when in reality, EVERYONE is contributing to these problems. No one wants to stand up and say, "I'm part of the reason we got into this mess." That's the biggest problem with our species: no one wants to take responsibility for their actions; they just want to blame the problems on something else. And that's why nothing ever gets done.
@salakast , Agree. But as Carlin said, Americans are selfish and ignorant. To the few that are supporting Ron Paul my apologies. God Bless. But fuck hope.
@salakast , If this is true then there is Hope. But Last I heard he was like 20 points behind Romney in South Carolina. And if he losses SC it is over for him? Anyway, I am just watching the news from Spain. I hope for the best. Liberty and Justice, RON PAUL 2012!
@SleepingSun1985 no thats RON PAUL is against governemtn hand outs and only takes the national in come average of 38000 a year instead of his full sallery and who opts out of the congressional health care plan for a private one. thats the guy. do your homewokr.
@justforpoox Oh really? I thought he could just rely on the wonderful charity like the millions who cannot afford private healthcare.Vote him anyway, I believe your country would improve immediately after "election".
As much as George Carlin's negativitydoesn't contribute to a solution, danm if he doesn't have the ability to point out the problem. We are all worse off for him being gone.
I don't vote for politicians either. But Ron Paul has me thinking twice. Although I don't think George Carlin would endorse Ron Paul because he equally hates all politicians, I think he would be proud of Ron Paul for speaking the truth.
He wasn't ''one of us'' He is a banker suppported media mogul who is ''mocking'' the serfs. He's ''blaming'' the serfs and forcing them to laugh at their own stupidity and claiming that bad ''votes'' created the problem.
Does he mention Dr. Paul? no. He doesn't. He could have. Ron Paul was struggling for a mic in those days. He didn't have one. This Zionist loving ''comedian'' did.
He doesnt' use it to promote Ron Paul. He uses it to mock us.
@CoolerKing37 but voting for the right ones does though right? So voting correctly is beneficial as opposed to not voting at all, because that is George Carlin's premise.
How the fuck is it possible that under a Georg Carlin video the top rated comment is about Ron Paul, a delusional church-goer and climate change truther?!?
Ron Paul is a politician. Fuck Ron Paul. If you want to comment 'Ron Paul 2012' on a George Carlin video, maybe you should take a look at George Carlin's views on abortion.
@doomslang He really isn't a politician at all in the sense you seem to mean. He's always willing to say things he knows he'll get booed for and he doesn't give a shit if he loses because of what he says. I can't think of a politician who does that.
I respect George Carlin's opinion but I don't agree. EVERYONE should try to vote. If there are politicians you really don't like then don't vote but don't let it go out too often.

MrEniena 1 week ago
@MrEniena I'm not against the use of force if necessary but what you suggest is ludicrous.
You think like violent primitives that wish to implement change through terror and bloodshed .
I'll stick with logic and reason unless I or others are at risk of being physically harmed.
MrMonkeyThumbsticks 1 week ago
@MrMonkeyThumbsticks My comment was compressed due to the limitations Youtube puts on comments. But my message what I mean is that we have gotten to the point in history that peaceful, lawful revolution is not working because the system is fubar. Change at this point really going to have to come through violence, which is something those colonial "primitives" in the American Revolution knew as well.
Sorry you may find that offensive, but it's the bitter truth.
MrEniena 1 week ago
@MrEniena I don't find it offensive, I just find it to be an antiquated and frankly retarded way of thinking.
There hasn't been a proper attempt at reforming the government yet- peaceful or otherwise- so to claim violence is the only possible option is just an assertion without evidence.
War is a primitive act that relies on collectivist thinking to get people to die for someone else's cause and feel proud doing it.
Like I said before, I'm sticking with logic and reason.

"Constitution that shields people"
Wasn't the constitution written by slave owners? I'd rather live in social democratic capitalism than the anti-worker dream of the people who wrote the constitution.
pulsatingremedy 1 week ago
@pulsatingremedy It is unfortunate that capitalism is the best system civilization has implemented so far- it is true a free market encourages diplomacy and cooperation but it is still an antiquated system driven by base human instincts that promotes greed and rewards corruption.
And you can fault the founding fathers for personal actions but you have to admit the Constitution is a solid document.
MrMonkeyThumbsticks 1 week ago
@MrMonkeyThumbsticks
"It is..so far"
Civilization doesn't implement economic modes of production. Modes of production come into being by class warfare. We live in a capitalist society because the capitalist class (with some popular support) terminated the feudal mode of production. The future society that will be ruled by workers can only coming into being if the workers of today fight for it.
Do you know what historical materialism is?
pulsatingremedy 1 week ago
@pulsatingremedy Knowing history is important for a variety of reasons but you cannot use that to assert certainty about future events.
Communication is undeniably a core component of why our civilization is as awesome as it is and now the world is connected like it never has been before.
I'm all for fighting but I prefer to settle a conflict with thought.
Violence should be an act of defense, not a way of accomplishing a goal.
I like to speak logically and carry a big stick.
MrMonkeyThumbsticks 1 week ago
@MrMonkeyThumbsticks I got a little too into my replies to you and stepped over the line when I said violence was the only answer; but that doesn't change the fact that too many humans have become stubbornly obstinate to mentally evolve to a point where they find peace preferable to force. Peace is irrelevant where the bloodthirsty majority is concerned and you're going to have to accept the fact that too many people on this planet will fall back on that solution that not.
MrEniena 1 week ago
@MrMonkeyThumbsticks
"Knowing history..future events."

MrEniena 1 week ago
@MrEniena I think you misunderstand Ron Paul's position and why he is so popular. He is a conservative libertarian that strongly promotes individual rights and liberties, so if you support Ron Paul then you should acknowledge the fact that you CAN lead yourself and don't need big daddy government managing your life for you.
MrMonkeyThumbsticks 1 week ago
@MrMonkeyThumbsticks
Instead we have private employers managing my life. Ron Paul wants to reintroduce the 14-hour work day; abolish minimum wages; abolish social security. Sweatshop labor will return to America. How is that freedom? It's wage servitude.
GodOfTheInternets 1 week ago

IKilledElviss 1 week ago
@IKilledElviss i dont personally believe an active, possibly armed, over throw is nessisary. i believe you defend you and yours to the current legal extent and make a strong attempt at changing things through the system. then you raise the next generation to understand the ideas of liberty and they do the same.
justforpoox 1 week ago
@IKilledElviss
Encourage real ACTION - even if that's not as popular a position as your sensationalist comment.
xXNickPXx 5 days ago 2
@xXNickPXx You know exactly what it means. Forget everything you're expected to believe and do and do whatever it is you want. Here's one crock of bullshit they expect you to believe - You have a voice, and your voice counts. Nope. You don't and it doesn't. These 'activists' really think they're changing things. It's an illusion. It makes people feel important and powerful, which is the main reason why they do it. But as long as the powerful remain powerful, nothing will change
IKilledElviss 5 days ago
@IKilledElviss xXNickPXx has a point, if you're going to encourage people to not vote and hence do not give their consent to the system, then you need to do more that that. Even if the majority of were to not vote at all, all that accomplishes is to send a big message that the government has lost the consent of the people and therefore is not wanted. They're just going to ignore that, keep ruling, and elect leaders without permission.
You need to do more than just not vote.
MrEniena 5 days ago
@IKilledElviss
If you too think there is something wrong with your country, don't justify inaction to yourself, admit you're lazy.
xXNickPXx 5 days ago
@xXNickPXx Activists certainly want social change, but it really does fulfill that selfish instinct. As for the Arab spring, the divisions in the Egyptian movement have already shown up with the Muslim Brotherhood being elected in and it's gonna get nasty when they're fighting amongst themselves. Whoever gets the power down there will keep it. I do hope I'm wrong dude. And I hope I get proven wrong, but I think activism is meaningless. Happy to respectfully disagree x
IKilledElviss 5 days ago
@IKilledElviss
