Man I was in grade school when the ORIGINAL Real World came on. After return to New York, you can see the trend of "make em hot, drunk and horney" so they can have them all hook up. After Chicago it became less real and more Jersey Shore. I'm glad I got to experience the earlier seasons growing up. They were awesome and something different at the time.

It's a damned shame that the early seasons of TRW (and RR) will in all likelihood never be on DVD, presumably because of the expense (and in some cases unavailability) of music rights... those seasons were a genuinely significant part of popular culture, and trailblazers of reality television, but as the years go by it will almost be like those seasons never happened (although some of us know better)...
Those first few seasons were great trailblazers and staples for the series... Seattle and Hawaii were the best... The show's garbage now...They spearheaded the whole reality tv era, but just fell off after awhile...

I have noticed for the past few yrs tha Real World has been getting pretty boring...i dunno the fact that one of the original producers, Mary-Ellis Bunim, died in 2004! Something tells me that they are starting to run out of places. Maybe one in Canada, and i'd LOVE to see one in Jersey. Niagra Falls and DC would be good places.
I would also like to add that Austin won for Best Season at The Real World Awards Bash beating out all the seasons prior to Hollywood. And that Brooklyn was the highest rated season to date.
The Real World Awards Bash means nothing to me and proves that only people voted watch the show for a couple of years, just by the results. Only RW Seattle and Coral from RW back to NY won that was before San Diego, which was the last good season before the show turn awful. I mean Austin for best season? That's a joke.
I'm not saying I agree with Austin being the best season, I'm just making a general statement since there's so much talk about that season (thus the reason why it won I guess). That's your opinion and that is ok. I said that MY favorite was Brooklyn and that's all there is to say.
I actually liked RW Brooklyn in the beginning because it was going back to the old seasons but then the childish pranks and over the top drama made me not like it anymore. Hope DC is good though.

Cities that should host a future season of The Real World: Atlanta, Detroit, Baltimore, Tampa, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Cincinatti, St. Louis, Memphis, Houston, Dallas, Phoenix. Toronto, Vancouver, or Montreal would be good if they ever do a season in Canada.

I have noticed for the past few yrs tha Real World has been getting pretty boring...i dunno the fact that one of the original producers, Mary-Ellis Bunim, died in 2004! Real World NEEDS to step up bc the last few seasons were horrible. Some seasons in the 90s are still far more better then the ones today!
..they are running out of locations, Jersey they have not done. They should do Niagra Falls or Toronto, Canada!

well umm...im still trying to catch up with all the real world seasons!! its hard to find since I dont live in the U.S.!! But so far, LAS VEGAS if far the best season, hands down!! HOLLYWOOD & BROOKLYN was hoorrrrribbllle!! CANCUN, was alright!!

Something tells me that they are starting to run out of places. Maybe one in Canada, and i'd LOVE to see one in Jersey. Niagra Falls and DC would be good places.

I would also like to add that Austin won for Best Season at The Real World Awards Bash beating out all the seasons prior to Hollywood. And that Brooklyn was the highest rated season to date.

The Real World Awards Bash means nothing to me and proves that only people voted watch the show for a couple of years, just by the results. Only RW Seattle and Coral from RW back to NY won that was before San Diego, which was the last good season before the show turn awful. I mean Austin for best season? That's a joke.

I actually liked RW Brooklyn in the beginning because it was going back to the old seasons but then the childish pranks and over the top drama made me not like it anymore. Hope DC is good though.

boston, paris, denver, austin, brooklyn, sydney, phildilphia all these seasons sucked they need to stop making real world already they should have stoped after san diego except for boston and paris which i thought were a lil boring all the seasons 1-14 were good and key west was ok too, but mostly everthing after season 14 sucks its too much of the same formula everyone is a whore and a drunk its getting old!

man this brings back memories. started watching when boston aired, but still got to see the older seasons since mtv used to do re-runs and specials back then. the newer seasons can't really compare. sf was just epic. boston, miami, seattle, and hawaii had their rememberable moments too. it's just not the same anymore. on another note, really wish someone would do this for rr. i was actually even a bigger rr fan than rw fan.

Cities that should host a future season of The Real World: Atlanta, Detroit, Baltimore, Tampa, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Cincinatti, St. Louis, Memphis, Houston, Dallas, Phoenix. Toronto, Vancouver, or Montreal would be good if they ever do a season in Canada.
