Also the problem with the gungans can be easily resolved with the Jedis not being normal humans who can resist deep water pressure. The gungans themselves should obviously survive under water.

The anti-escape bombs implanted in slaves never pays off anyway. It's just a stupid patch to a non-existent plot hole. The slaves, apparently, couldn't escape if they wanted to. The Naboo can't get off the planet with money and a space ship, so how's a slave to get away? Answer to a question nobody asked!

Why are the Naboo fighters still waiting in the palace when Padma and the Jedi return to capture the viceroy. What happened to all of the other ships in the blockade at the start of the film? Why doesn't Qui Gon just use his republic credits to hire the aid of a smuggler that could use them?
@lobothesacred3 How do you blockade a planet? It's not like a boarder. You have unlimited directions you can go in. Guess that's why they managed to run it. Distressed Watcher brought up the smuggler option along with selling the ship and buying a more modest ship.
@RadarKat73080 - From my understanding, ships in star wars reach faster than lightspeed travel by the use of special routes through space known as hyperspace routes. So, the only effective way to escape from any enemy ship is to enter a hyperspace route. So, the empire may have simply been blocking the only hyperspace entry point into and out of the system. Though, that may just be spewing techno babble.
Another option would have been to ask for help from one of the other jedi on Tatooine.

There are probably weirder characters with an action figure. Bob from Batman starring Jack Nicholson and Micheal Keaton has an action figure for Bob, one of the Joker's henchmen. Though, why anyone would want action figures of the characters based on the prequels or other off-shoots is beyond me. Most of those movies or shows suck terribly, like Ewok Adventures.

In one of redlettermedia's review of Phantom Menace it shows him commenting on how a story should drive special effects rather than the other way around. But, his most recent entries into the star wars universe are completely driven by special effects rather than the characters themselves.

The anti-escape bombs implanted in slaves never pays off anyway. It's just a stupid patch to a non-existent plot hole. The slaves, apparently, couldn't escape if they wanted to. The Naboo can't get off the planet with money and a space ship, so how's a slave to get away? Answer to a question nobody asked!

@RadarKat73080 - They could try and become stowaways on spaceships and get away from the planet that way. Though, if they succeeded in that method, how useful would the bombs be? How long a range do these remotely detonated bombs have?
These bombs attempt to solve a potential plot problem while introducing new ones at the same time.

@RadarKat73080 - It's sort of like asking why all of the droids take all of their orders from a single central point of control. Why isn't there a backup control station somewhere on Naboo? Why are the Naboo fighters still waiting in the palace when Padma and the Jedi return to capture the viceroy. What happened to all of the other ships in the blockade at the start of the film? Why doesn't Qui Gon just use his republic credits to hire the aid of a smuggler that could use them?

@lobothesacred3 How do you blockade a planet? It's not like a boarder. You have unlimited directions you can go in. Guess that's why they managed to run it. Distressed Watcher brought up the smuggler option along with selling the ship and buying a more modest ship.

@RadarKat73080 - From my understanding, ships in star wars reach faster than lightspeed travel by the use of special routes through space known as hyperspace routes. So, the only effective way to escape from any enemy ship is to enter a hyperspace route. So, the empire may have simply been blocking the only hyperspace entry point into and out of the system. Though, that may just be spewing techno babble.
Another option would have been to ask for help from one of the other jedi on Tatooine.

It seems that he just sat out to rape the Star Wars universe and he continues to do so by introducing Ahsoka Tano in the animated movie. Where does she fit into the story? She just seems like a character introduced to appeal to the female demographic.

Ironic, the villains in this movie were a "greedy Trade Federation" yet Lucas put as much crap in these movies that he could make toys out of! Remember, at the beginning of Revenge of the Sith, when they had to land what was left of Grivious's battleship? Remember that guy in the helmet who was on screen for about three seconds? He has an action figure!

Yes.
There are probably weirder characters with an action figure. Bob from Batman starring Jack Nicholson and Micheal Keaton has an action figure for Bob, one of the Joker's henchmen. Though, why anyone would want action figures of the characters based on the prequels or other off-shoots is beyond me. Most of those movies or shows suck terribly, like Ewok Adventures.

The "greys" that made up the band didn't get one. The "Elephant Man" didn't get one until Power of the Force, I think.

I guess, I can understand Greedo a little bit, since he does get killed in the bar. Though, Han Solo and Greedo are now associated with the glaring question of "Who Shot First".

@RadarKat73080 - I don't think Ewoks are bad ass, but the movie Ewok Adventures feels like a story or set of stories that just never needed to be told. They don't serve the main plot line at all, and also introduce the strange concept that Ewoks can speak Galactic Basic if the plot requires it.

In one of redlettermedia's review of Phantom Menace it shows him commenting on how a story should drive special effects rather than the other way around. But, his most recent entries into the star wars universe are completely driven by special effects rather than the characters themselves.

@RadarKat73080 - I think, distressed watcher would disagree. There is one character in Phantom Menace, but his character traits are contradictory creating a strange dichotomy that doesn't work due to the nature of the film.
It's rather sad though, that you can't really describe any of the characters as being anything other than stoic for the most part.

what most people dont understand about the republic is that it is less of a body of politic, and more of a really big version of the United Nations. If I leave it at that I'll probably get piled with replies that all basicly mean this. "then why does the Republic have an army of clone troopers?" The awnser is, the UN here has forces just like it, who keep the peace, and provide medical and provisional aid. the only difference between them and the clone troopers is that ours wear blue helmets.

the trade federation was a group of neimoidians who are not known for their intelligence besides their economic savyy. darth sideous was able to manipulate them to do the things he needed, they were too afraid to hesitate even though the orders made no sense, it was all a ruse for palpatine to acquire power. the gungan city is in the swamps and jungles devoid of sentient life besides gungans, so it is hidden from intelligent life. anakin is watto's slave but also his personal podracing pilot
