If their clothes get torn up in the middle of a fight because they're losing, they probably have much more important/urgent thoughts then "How do I explain this to the teacher?" Lol. @Newsandjy Not really, Personas are summoned by them when they fight but it's usually the characters who fight the Shadows, plus Persona skills depletes either MP or HP depending on the skill you want to use so the user gets quite tired after a while.
