Is it possible to be a white man and still be able to obtain the essence of Japan and be accepted by the people? It is remarkable that such an outstanding piece of history is in that kind of condition especially given the incredible length of time the sword has seen, truly remarkable.
This sword was made in the late 11th century and due to its purpose as a ceremonial sword it survived until today in a excellent state of preservation. Or the famous St. Maurice sword of Turin - according to Peter Johnsson it is not only perfectly preserved you can even sharpen a pencil with it, it is still sharp enough fo that!
