  • Many barristers will undertake work on a Conditional Fee which is an agreement under which they will receive no fee if the case is lost, but can claim an increased fee if the outcome is successful.

Do you actually know anything at all about anything?

  • There are no formal scales of fees for barristers work. Generally barristers charge according to their level of experience and the complexity and length of time involved in any particular matter. People instructing barristers should negotiate fees with clerks in advance. Lay clients should consult their solicitors about what is an appropriate fee for a particular piece of work.

  • Please note that it is usually the case that the person who instructs the barrister is ultimately liable for the fee.

Barristers are not required to accept work until an appropriate fee has been agreed and they are entitled to demand payment of their fees in advance.

  • Figures from the OECD, measured over the past six years, showed that mathematics standards among 15-year-olds have plummeted, with 16 countries overtaking Britain since 2000, including Slovenia, Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark and Austria. The UK has fallen from eighth to 24th place in the international league table.

Standards in reading have also slipped, with the UK falling behind 10 countries, among them Poland, Sweden, the Netherlands and Japan. Britain fell from seventh to 17th place.

  • UK near bottom in Europe for child wellbeing (Source: ONE News)

    ONE News

Britain is one of the worst countries in Europe for children to grow up in, according to a survey, and campaigners called for three billion pounds to be spent on halving child poverty by 2010.

Researchers from York University for the Child Poverty Action Group (CPAG) found that Britain ranked 24th out of 29 countries examined.

  • The Netherlands came top of the child wellbeing table, followed by Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Finland and Denmark, based on data from 2006.

The UK came well below countries of similar affluence and only Romania, Bulgaria, Latvia, Lithuania and Malta, which came bottom, fared worse.

  • The findings echoed those of a 2007 United Nations report on children's wellbeing which put Britain and the United States at the bottom, and the Netherlands, again, at the top.

  • Britain ranks with the United States, Australia, Canada and Ireland in having a population in which at least 15 per cent of people can read and write "at only the most rudimentary level, making it difficult for them to cope with the rising skill demands of the information age",

  • an OECD report says. One in five people aged between 16 and 65 have such poor literacy skills that they are unable to carry out simple tasks such as giving a child the correct dose of medicine after reading the label on the bottle. Another 30 per cent have reading and writing skills that are better but still insufficient to cope with the modern world, the OECD says.

  • British adults came top, however, in watching the most television, followed by New Zealanders, Germans, Czechs and the Irish. Sixty per cent of Britons said they watched television for more than two hours a day.

  • Gary McKinnon faces life sentence for hacking into Pentagon.

The IT expert insists he was simply looking for information the US government had on UFO/ renewable energy technology, to help the old folks in the UK dying due to heating bills, and is adamant that he never damaged any of its computer systems.

He should be tried in a UK court under the UK law that he broke whilst residing in the UK. He didn't do any damage to the US government, well, except the damage he did to their pride.

  • "Legally, that is correct but, you know how we are politically connected to the US? We are affectively their bitches. Think about is, not even Blair wanted to go in to Iraq... but..."

  • Antonio Singh Boparan, at 19-years-of-age, drove his mothers Range Rover at 70mph on a 30mph road, having only passed his test six months before, and was described as weaving in and out of traffic as he overtook one vehicle and went to overtake another when he crashed into a car carrying an eleven month old baby.

He collided head-on with the families jeep, in an impact that was so strong it ripped Cerys out of her baby seat and her skull was detached from her spine.

  • Little Cerys Edwards, was left brain-damaged, paralysed, reliant on a ventilator and needs 24-hour care. The driver received only 21 months in prison which it has now be revealed could be dramatically reduced to just 30-weeks to ease over-crowding in prisons.

  • If you are stupid enough to take a free barrister donated by the state, and not one that comes highly recommended (with a bit of under table advances), then yes you are fucked. Of course Motive can always be hacked ;)

  • liar :)

  • Yes, with you, there is no value in effort.

  • The state is breeding an underclass of poorly educated, (so unable to qualify for the interesting jobs) culture less, valueless people who can't get what they need by working for it (because allot of the jobs are pointless, mind numbing, don't pay enough, illegal or just plain non existent) so they either rely on the state for benefits (thanks to the governments welfare state programs) or turn to crime and attempt to take it (or make it).

  • Now we know why the UK and US are at the bottom of the education polls.

Funnily enough they are also two of the most in debt countries in the world. TRUST OUR LEADERS!

  • You were never worth my time, but I always try to help;)

  • minus good behaviour, which varies from 40 to 90% cut in jail time. Defending your property is no a crime if you pay compensation to the skum for breaking his jaw or shooting him in the leg with your 12 bore just before he tried to stab you (cus you couldn't get to the kitchen in time to match his knife up with one of equal stature).

  • Then of course, those who want compo for falling down the stairs on that shitty piece of carpet you left on the landing, Or from falling through the roof lights that you hadn't finished fixing. Your out of it;)

  • Yeah right. 5 years for rape. 6 months for burglary, 10 years for murder. 6 months community service for nicking a Mercedes.

20 years for defending your property.

You live in Cloud Cookoo Land or the UK?

    WAKE UP!

  • Of Course. Sorry. Life for murder 10 years manslaughter - ALSO I neglected to remark on the differences between murder and manslaughter. The difference being the price of you lawyer.

  • 762SLR762

You fucking cowardly cunt. You lose the argument so you cut and paste out of context and block replies. You fucking piece of shit. Long live free speech in the US as long as people agree with you. You have proved my point you fucking coward. That's the shittest act of ignorance i've ever come across on these boards. Well fuck you!!!!!!!!!!

  • Firstly, filtering is not blocking. Irrelevant comments will be removed.

Secondly, I don't see you leaving any posts on your page relating to our discussions! You have deleted them ALL!

And if those quotes are out of context,

why are they all on the exact same pages?

You really are the most dense matter in the universe - C U Next Tuesday

  • Like thats ever going to happen! Don't you know anything about the justice system in the UK? IT SUCKS, AND FUCKS THE PUBLIC.

  • Quotes from 762SLR762

It's easy to sheepishly follow the gun toting hordes.

I'm not stupid enough to say "ban all guns"

(Just) Total ban on carrying and discharge of handguns (Not rifles or shotguns) outside of the gun licence holder's home (of course criminals will tremble at that! And he can still roam around bunny blasting with the toffs!) I have a gun licence. (AND A) 12 Bore Beretta. ( And the right to use it! RAAATHER SPIFFING EH WHAT:)

  • Quotes from 762SLR762

I'm the one arguing for change you moron. (He likes his beretta!)

Of course those who actually use them (Guns) should do life until death.

I don't give a shit about the hopelessly flawed constitution.

it takes balls to fix a fucked up system.

Let it run for 2/3 years and measure the effects.

(O Fuck. It didn't work. Thousand more abducted, raped, murdered... Sorry dead people. I didn't mean it)

  • Not to mention of course, For Global Government, It is imperative to not have an armed public majority, that do not like what the minority feels is good for them. If they can't have nukes - they cant have bullets either. NICE :)

  • And if all of the above were really scared of you and your threats,

Would they disappear? Yes. Have they disappeared yet? No.

Should I have to pay to support that kind of scum to live in a 4 star prison till death? No. Can the economy support this? No.

Will you personally pay for them? No.

  • Will they disappear? Yes if they come to my house ;°)

And I don't doubt if you caught the some bastard violating your daughter, Mr Berreta would have something to say about it.

Or would you cowardly stand and wait for the police to arrive?

To then have her subjected to a humiliating court case.

To then hope his lawyer is not better than yours?

To then know he gets five years because the justice system does not deliver everything you have been harping on about.

    Bollocks. He would disappear.

  • Of course you are not so stupid. You wouldn't be able to enjoy your own firearms otherwise would you?

  • How about a couple of quotes from Texas officials regarding the concealed-carry law?

District Attorney John B. Holmes of Houston said, "I (felt) that such legislation ... present(ed) a clear and present danger to law-abiding citizens by placing more handguns on our streets. Boy was I wrong. Our experience in Harris County, and indeed statewide, has proven my initial fears absolutely groundless."

  • In Florida, 1,123,373 concealed-carry licenses were issued between Oct. 1, 1987, and Feb. 28. Only 157 licenses have been revoked because the licensee used a firearm while committing a crime. That's a rate of one 0.01 percent. Also, 2,976 licenses have been revoked for all offenses; that's a rate of 0.26 percent. Not what one would call a crime wave.

  • You may have good intentions but you have to understand that outlawing guns is not the answer. Our freedom and our rights will lead us back to where we need to be. Those guns will be obtained no matter what and if we can do it legally to protect ourselves againt those criminals, who has the right to say we can't? Owning a gun is an individual's decision and who has the right to make that decision for us? Besides, the guns that people use to kill are not obtained legally anyway...

  • What you need to be supporting is the actual prosecution and stiff prison sentences for those that do kill wth those guns. What about child predators who stalk, kidnap, torture and kill innocent children? They don't use guns! Why don't you think about proposing laws to protect law abiding citizens to make this world safer. You want to outlaw guns but that will not deter the real intentions of some sick psycho or junkie who will kill you with whatever means necessary.

  • First...You can ban the sell of automatic weapons 3x over - do you think that a stiff prison sentence is going to deter a criminal from obtaining and using one against you or your family? Which leads right into no. 2 of your point. How will law abiding citizens protect themselves and their families outside of their homes in which any number of things can very well and most likely will happen? Car Jacking, kidnapping, murder at an ATM, assaults on vacations?

  • Do you enjoy arguing or do you have a valid proposed solution to the problem at hand?

  • The point is that the UK has a higher rate of death by knife or other means...should the UK impose a law against knives? It's just as TMobile has said...people kill people and the underlying question is why are these people doing this? People have become desperate due to the infringment on their constitional rights. I have given you the opportunity to share your opinion about what we can do to "fix" this issue without infringing upon our constitutional rights and you have not answered. Why?

  • Separate figures recorded by UK police forces reveal 22,000 serious knife assaults including 231 attempted murders, almost 14,000 robberies and more than 8,000 woundings.

  • Official figures released on Thursday revealed there were more than 22,000 serious offenses in England and Wales involving knives in 2007-8.

So 22,000 knife related deaths to 60,776,238 (July 2007 est.)

    = misleading post

231 attempted murders is very different than 22,000 knife related deaths as you so put it.

This means that according to your equation, the USA has more than three times the death rate compared to the UK (firearm deaths/population US vs knife 'attempted murders'/population UK)

  • In 2007 there where:

    301,621,157 people in the US

    11,251,828 Total CRIMES

    1,408,337 Violent (seperate from murders)

16,929 Murders (not included in violent)

855,856 Aggrivated Assault - a reckless attack with intent to injure seriously (as with a deadly weapon) Source For Def.

    2,176,140 Burglaries - Lowest since 1991

This gives a .47%violent crime rate in America ((1,408,337+16,929)/301,621,157)

  • In 2005 there were:

419,640 - Non fatal Gun crimes

    8,478 - Handgun deaths

    2,868 - other gun deaths

    2,147 - Knife deaths

    671 - Blunt object deaths

    2,528 - Other object deaths

  • So the UK has a crime rate roughly 3.61 times worse than the US in violent crime rates.

    UK Crimes

    In 2007 there were:

    60,975,000 - Total Population (estimate)

    1,045,369 Violence crimes

    621,958 Burglaries

    3,810,971 Total Crimes

This gives a 1.7% violent crime rate (1,045,369/60,975,000)

  • UK stats ONLY for guns in US compared to knives in UK :

419,640 - Non fatal Gun crimes

    8,478 - Handgun deaths

    2,868 - other gun deaths

  • = 430,986 Gun related incidents / US pop. 301,621,157

.14% gun related incident rate in America

    231 - knife attempted murders

    14,000 - knife robberies

    8,000 - knife woundings

    = 22,000 knife incidents / UK pop. 60,975,000

.03% knife related incident rate in UK

UK = lower knife incident rate than US gun incident rate

but.. the UK does have a much higher overall crime rate per person/capita.

  • Guns don't kill. People kill.

  • He has no point. If he had a gun license he would probably attempt to make a point blank assertion. From what I can see, he is the best argument for suicide by firearm.

I would prefer he used a spoon.

  • And that point being what[?]

  • Hahahaha; Glad you liked it. and what does monkey have to do with race. As far as friends go, I have tons of friends of all colors, Some religious, some not so much. Cheeky monkey you. All that you are throwing out is crap.

  • The only way anyone gets my guns will be from my cold dead hands. And you'll have to use your guns to do it. As far as stats go, People die every day from other things, drunk drivers, stabbings, Rocks upside the head, I can go on and on. So take that BS, turn it side ways and shove it up your monkey ass.

  • Look at what this762SLR762 wrote on my channel.>>> 762SLR762 :I'm the sheep?? LOL - I'm the one arguing for change you moron. You're the one blindly following an ancient constitution written for a different age and time. You're the one so conditioned to the status quo that you wouldn't know a better way if it shot you in the head. It's easy to sheepishly follow the gun toting hordes - it takes balls to fix a fucked up system. Open your eyes.

  • Maths Time;) Guns in the US 350000000 Total. That would be 1 weapon for every man woman and child. Gun Deaths US 30694 - SUICIDE OF 16881 = 13812 Knife deaths No statistics Automobile 42643 Alcohol 21634 Guns in the UK 4000000 Total Gun deaths 64 Knife 22312 Automobile 2946 Alcohol 8724 We can conclude that people kill people, and the statistics for deaths weigh heavily against the UK. Overall PEOPLE are more dangerous than guns. Have a beer on me!
  • 43,721 people killed in fatal car accidents Vs 15,517 murders.

    Do the math.

  • Burglary and Knife crime UK - Richard Garside, director of the Centre for Crime and Justice "I do not think this is a war the police can win," he said. "The figures are not completely indicative of what is going on."

His warning came after Met Police (LONDON ONLY) figures showed knife crime had fallen 13% in the last year.

From February 2007 to January 2008 there were 11,963 offenses involving knives in London alone.

  • "Recently there have been stabbings in my area but they haven't even made the local paper. Because no-one is dying, no-one seems to be doing anything. Mother, Michelle Jeacock

I guess we need to ban Knives, then forks, then spoons, rakes spades, anything blunt or heavy, CARS,. hHEY One person dies in the US every 13 minutes in a Car Accident- 115 killed each day. 1.2 Million killed World Wide each year. This is unacceptable. BAN ALL CARS!

  • In June 1980, hostage Gail Kinchin and her unborn baby were killed in crossfire between West Midlands officers and her deranged boyfriend.

  • On 17 January 1983 Stephen Waldorf was shot by police hunting David Martin.

On 24 August 1985 John Shorthouse aged 5 was shot dead in a police raid on his home in Birmingham.

On 15 January 1987 Cherry Groce, a mother-of-six, was shot and paralysed by officers looking for her son.

On 15 January 1998 James Ashley, 39, was shot and killed by Sussex Police while naked and unarmed during a drugs raid at his flat.

  • In June 1999 Derek Bateman, 47, of Surrey was shot by a single bullet through the heart (he was carrying an air pistol).

On 22 September 1999 Harry Stanley, a painter and decorator, born in Bellshill near Glasgow, was walking home when he was shot dead by two Metropolitan Police officers following an erroneous report that he was carrying a sawn-off shotgun in a plastic bag.

  • In July 2005, West Yorkshire police tasered a man in hypoglycaemic shock, believing that he was a potential security threat.

On 22 July 2005, Jean Charles de Menezes, a Brazilian national living in London, was shot dead by unnamed Metropolitan Police officers on board an Underground train at Stockwell tube station, in the belief he was a suicide bomber.

  • On 2 June 2006, two family homes were raided in an operation involving 250 police in east London. One man, Abdul Kahar, was shot in the shoulder by police during the raid, but was later released without charge.

According to an October 2005 article in The Independent, in the preceding 12 years, 30 people had been shot dead by police, and no officers had been convicted in connection with any of them.

  • How can you even dare to ask a question such as this when you say you don't give a shit about the constitution? Do you not even realize that the "gun death situation" has become out of control is because of the "death" of our constitutional rights? People have become desperate when they are taxed beyond all reason and have to resort to unethical and immoral actions to survive and feed their families! No - that is no excuse and it is definately not right but it is fact!

  • 762SLR762: Now being fair and always open-minded, please feel free to share your thoughts on how gun control might be achieved without infringing on our constitutional rights. I always welcome discussion and shared thoughts but be mindful of the personal and nasty name calling. Waging attacks on each other is part of the reason that the world is so f'd up...IT IS possible to hold a civil conversation and learn from one another without attacking each other.

  • You just don't give a shit. OK no problem. So go away.

Unless you are a sad lier, that has nothing else to do but cry about things that you don't even care about.

YOU are a hundred times more likely to be shot by a stupid copper.

You WILL care when the time comes, but for you I feel it is too late.

    Ignorance

  • SO. Still no clue about Codex Alimentarious?

You have no idea how ignorant you are. But thats the paradox of ignorance.

  • What will you do if someone invades your home and threatens the lives of your family? Will you give then the speech about how they are frightened little souls? Or will you defend your property and your loved ones as you have the right to do? Guns will always be illegally obtainable to criminals and they will use them against you. But if we take away the right to bear arms, we the law abiding citizens, will not be able to defend ourselves against those criminals. Wake up and use common sense!

  • Confront what issue? That you are so afraid to make your own decisions you would rather live in Oligarchy? This country was formed to be a republic where man has the right to bear arms...and if that right is abused by the comission of murder or robbery, then the law intervenes. Frightened? Hell yes! That our government has decided that we are too stupid to make our own decisions about OUR money, OUR rights, and OUR freedom.

  • I'm sorry this vid was over your head. Because, when you lose your 2nd amendment rights, then you lose your 1st amendment rights. Case in point; Britain lost their rights to guns, and they are now losing rights left and right. If you don't like guns thats your right, but I'll be damned if I give up mine to where the bad guys and the Government only have guns. God bless America, and pass the ammunition.

  • Food for thought;)

  • Your brains don't eat much good food I guess. Thats Mercury, Fluoride, Aspartame, Chlorine and Alcohol for you.

Maybe If you had half a brain you would know all about nutritional values. You can't tell me one positive thing about Codex Alimentarious. Thats if you even know what it is.

    Enjoy your dinner ;)

  • From one extreme to another! Never clarity. A quality parent. Those running your country need people like you.

Of course, Logic of the school yard is running your county,

The price of being two steps behind is looking up the backside of digression. That is why you can't even see what the first hurdle looks like.

Unfortunatly your logic cannot relate to this relative relation. Repulsively recumbent are your ramblings.

Time for your Revelation, Reiteration or Ruination!

    Chow for now ;)
