  • After searching for half an hour, I found someplace to watch this. The movie was actually an interesting aspect of the horror/slasher genre. Not the norm. There was one part I though was completely unnecessary, but I enjoyed it!

  • I had a problem with my ass, they sent me to a doctor for that!

  • dont go into the woods, dont open the window, dont answer the phone-dont watch these fucking crap movies!

  • @sleezboy its on fearnet on demand right now.

  • ...And the re-make will be called Don't Answer the Cell Phone. HA , HA , HA

  • I seen this film I forget where it was not that scary as others I've seen but it was good for a thriller

  • I had a problem with my ass, they sent me to a doctor for that!

  • awesome. at 1:12 it looks like the sign says "the balled fag!" which could be another classic horror movie.

  • @nogoodbastid LMFAO!

  • God the trailers were so dorky back then! and pretty muh gives away the endings to the movies

  • I watched this when I was 12 and now when I see bill collectors calling on the caller ID, it always makes me think back to this movie.

  • oh there r many movie title start in Dont' Here

    dont go to the bed

    dont go in the wood

    dont open the door

    and many more!

  • Is thee any place I can watch this flick because it is obvious that I won't see it at Walmart anytime soon. Not even the 99 cent store.

  • @cookingitsweet Ahh, that's it. There were some very twisted movies in the 80's.

  • devtrev: DON'T GO IN THE HOUSE......a VERY creepy and disturbing little film!

  • National Do Not Call Registry.

  • I saw this movie on a double bill with a movie that was equally disturbing: this geeky guy would bring women home, tie them up and put them in an all steel room in his basement and burn them alive with a flamethrower. I love horror, gore and exploitation movies, but this was almost too much. Anyone remember the title?

  • @devtrev

That one is called Don't Go in the House, and it's more disturbing than this one.

  • DONT ANSWER THE PHONE....its a bill collecter

  • haha he slapped that bitch good and proper

  • Don't answer the phone......it's an Indian telemarketer.

  • the title made NO sense at all!!

  • the mom, the starlet, the nurse, the secretary...of course these are the only roles women should play in films....and the 'monster' just appears to be a large-ish black man....propaganda much?

  • @bishopTh3android It's clearly a white man... race bait much?

  • don't retweet

  • the main villian of this movie is fucking hilarious

  • There are so many of these late-'70s/early-'80s horror trailers on the Tube, you could spend the rest of your natural life watching them.

    LIFE WELL SPENT!!

  • @gspendlove

    totally agree!!1

  • How come a lot of movies from this time period start with "Don't" like this movie or Don't go in the woods and Don't go in the house?

  • @wildpoolcat cause they were trying to give out safety messages

  • WHERES MY SANDWITCH?! 0:30-0:33

  • 00:31 "Honey, I'm home!"

  • at 1:24 listen to the man voice and reapeat it over and over, im LAUGHING MY ASS OFF at what he is saying, "HE DONE IT BEFORE, HE WOULD DO IT AGAIN, HE IS DOING IT NOW......DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE" funny ass fuck...DAMN!

  • LOL hey yall, i have a good remake title to this....DON'T REPLY ON-LINE OR DIE!

  • Sometimes a trailer is better than the movie.

  • my favorite is don't eat the potato salad

  • at least it's not as ambiguous as "don't open the window"

  • Ah, they don't make fun and entertaining low budget horror-thrillers like this anymore. And that's a damn shame.

  • DON'T GO IN THE HOUSE!!!!

    DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE!!!!

    DON'T OPEN THE WINDOW!!!

    DON'T GO IN THE BASEMENT!!!!!

    DON'T LOOK NOW!!!!

DON'T LET YOUR SON GROW UP TO BE COWBOYS!!!!!

  • @madahad9

In fact the fake trailer called "Don't" was a parody of this on the movie "Grindhouse"

  • Comment removed

  • hahahaha it's ridicule

  • You guys, the killer in this film is not black, he's white, lol!

  • @knmlover i just saw this one it was pretty wicked

and yeah the scene where acted all white-black was pretty funny

i dont see why its called dont answer the phone though

not much phoning going on here

  • @MeteoraXV I think it was just a ploy to cash in on all the other "Don't..." movies that were coming out at the time, like "Don't Go in the House", "Don't Go in the Woods", etc.

  • @knmlover hmm maybe you're right but the title still doesnt make sense to me, phones don't play a central role in this movie as far as I know

Have you seen "Eyes of a Stranger" from 1981?

THAT one should've been named "Don't Answer The Phone" =)

  • @knmlover Let's not leave out my personal favorite...."Don't go the the bathroom" :-)~

  • Don't Answer The Phone, because It may be telemarketer on the other end

  • wahts the movie where the teen was babysitting and the killer was calling from upstairs???

  • "Don't Ask What's in the Taco Filling." Coming to you, from parts unknown.

  • Don't Answer the Phone!

    It's your mother in law

  • lol huge ass black man slasher

  • @majewsmovies The killer was actually a tall, stocky white guy

  • kinda like scream without the lame ghost mask acting is just as bad tho

  • BITCH SLAPED!!!

  • This movie is about killer telemarketers after you....RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!!!

  • I never answer the phone anyway, I let my wife do it.

  • I WANTED TO LEAVE A VOICEMAIL YOU WHOORE!!

  • I kinda sorta think that maybe you shouldn't answer the phone...ok?

  • it's me again margret. are you naked?

  • "Don't answer the phone" Have did they ever come up with such a original titel?:)

  • Don't answer the phone Bitch !

  • i saw this movie on tv the other night it was great the cop says i thought this guy was supposed to be a pervert he does,nt even have a blow up suzie suck me doll ha ha ha i love it

  • Aahh early 80s horror films. Back when you could show gratuitous nudity, rape, gore and violence. Today you have to wait for the "Directors Cut" or "Uncut" version.

  • @msudreaming Actually today horror movies are more gratuitus in sex, nudity and gore.

  • @murdlok Director's Cut versions yes. Notice how the commercials always say the extra footage too violent for the theatre?

  • @murdlok They certainly are more violent. Don't really see how they compare to the nudity of the 70s and early 80s movies, though. The message is clear-- Violence ok, sex not. Not a message I agree with, but I guess I'm in the minority.

  • @kaliyugafilms I agree with you, infact i think Roger Ebert once did a coment about violence being ok in american cinema and sex being not.

  • @msudreaming Huh? How many titles in the 80s were butchered by the MPAA? Today is a different world entirely.

  • @msudreaming i remember at a time when they used to show nudity on regular TV, but it will be a parental advisory, but they used to show it ALL, sorry for the kids these days, im glad to live thru the 80s it was a fun time as a young child.

  • @msudreaming and still some people are saying that we are progress!!!

  • So corny they might as well have had some lady in the movie say, "He's phoning her, and then he's going to call me! Oh my GOOOODDDD!"

  • the nurse, the model, the stylist, the student, the secretary don't answer the phone or you will get pimp slap.

  • this film seems kind of 70s

  • LOL @ Jubal. Wow, this looks so low-budget.

  • Someone should come out with an updated version.."Don't answer your cell phone! or "Don't open you email!" LOL yuk yuk!

  • Or better yet an emo film called don't lose your I-pod

  • Does anyone have the trailer for the movie Bells? From what I know it was released in 1982.

  • HE WOULD DO IT AGAIN. HE IS DOING IT NOW. jesus,..he's TRYING to tell us and he's dead damn serious, people.

  • Is this worth checking out?

  • @TheTaylorJohnson1 if u want to laugh YES

  • they forgot the Hooker!

  • I know we're not supposed to answer the phone...but is it at least ok to check Caller ID???

  • Don't Answer The Phone...............It's the telemarketers!

  • lol omg og i saw this video one night that i snicked out of my room and i got really scared. it wsn't cool.

  • I watched this terrible flick when I had it confused with "When A Stranger Calls" (1979).

I like how The Killer in this movie laughed each time after doing his thing, kind of whistling through his sinus like Muttley. That wasn't so much blood-curdling as it was irritating, like George Costanza from Seinfeld finally snapped and went on a killing spree.

  • It's a bust!

  • this movie is the worst

  • this was by far the worst movie I have ever watched. Even worst than Pitch Black. So bad that I had to finish watching it. Weird, weird shit

  • What is up with these goof sounding movie tiltles that were made in the late 70's and early 80"s.Dont answer the phone,Something is out there,Dont go in the bathroom dad just walked out.lol I mean forreal they are like sentences.

  • @aoarecruiter I think if this movie were produced today, they might have to call it "THE PHONE" or "DEAD SIGNAL" or something even more ambiguous, with two or fewer syllables, as I expect most people have lost so much literacy since the 70s that they wouldn't be able to make it through a complete sentence. ;)

  • Stop calling me!

  • Great performance by Nicholas Worth in this minor (but also highly enjoyable)

    80s sleazy / stalker / slasher. A good one.

  • Its funny how the styles of filming and the music in the films have changed so much! completely different than the styles of today, even when you take away the fact that all of the women have bell bottoms and Farrah Fossit hair, the style of filming is still completely different, it was boring a tad boring back then. But with people today, they won't watch an entire film unless there's an explosion, killing, death or sex in every single scene. Its sad and why the films are so trashy today.

  • The late 70's and early 80's were a strange era for cinema. There were some amazingly graphic films that got released that no one would make today!.

  • That's the year I was born--1980.

  • This movie looks rele rele good.

Is it like copycat 1995? I have that uploaded actually

  • This movie was on IFC channel and it could never be shown today; not so much for the strangler murders (which for today's standards are not violent) but for the use of the N word. Perhaps in theaters it was standard exploitation grindhouse stuff but today's viewers look back and laugh at it's cheesiness. That's the same for all 70's and 80's horror films. I remember the 80's and was scared of such movies as a kid

  • @AmericanEvita YES!!! Ii remember the part where he was trippin out "talking" to his pop. i bust that niggas head pop! lol! me n my lil brother were laughing hysterically!!

  • @AmericanEvita aint it a fuckin' shame. what has our world come to? we've become a society of pseudo moralists that think nothing of carpet bombing a village killing men, women, children, dogs, cats, and chickens and at the same time, freak out when we hear the words Nigger, Spic, Kike, Faggot, etc.. I'm Black and to tell the truth, that scene with "Van Nuys boogalawd and Hollywood Boogalawd I actually cramped up.

  • i just saw this movie on a premium channel and i laughed my ass off. nicholas worth was hilarious, he kept me rolling with his silly ass antics and quotes!

  • It's interesting that the dude that played the Lunatic in this movie (Nicholas Worth), also played Premier Alexander Romanov in the Red Alert 2 series.

  • these grindhouse horrors of the 70s and 80s might have been low budget, but could certainly set a sleazy/visceral mood and atmosphere better than say, oh...one of hundreds of shitty remakes of the 2000s and the WB teen show thrillers of the 1990s

  • The remake can be called "Don't Reply to Your Text Messages."

  • @JasonBassn Genius!

  • @JasonBassn hahahahahahha good

  • Falcon Punch at 0:35

  • All of those women from 70's movies are hot and should suck ma dick.

  • Hey where's Cheech and Chong?

  • Remember this trailer on the video release of The Hills Have Eyes many years ago.

  • This like saying "Don't Flush The Toilet". Sounds cheesy though, but it's true.

  • @lisany749 well, it's kinda better than "Don't sit on the chair" or "Don't eat that last piece of Turkey from Last Thanksgiving" XD

  • "Don't Answer the Phone?" "Don't Talk to Strange Men?" Jeeze....people in the Grindhouse era were really afraid of the telephone...

  • If anyone can lead me to synthesizer music as great as that stuff starting at 26 seconds I'd be much obliged

  • @IantheLiberal

Look up stuff like synth demos on youtube.

try looking up Andromeda synth demo or Virus Polar demo

  • This seems movie reminds me of Maniac

  • This movie is so freakin' sleazy... and, of course, awesome.

  • Don't answer the phone... Peter Frampton's on the line!

  • I saw this movie! I love the theme song! I wonder where I can find the the theme song.

  • They made alot of don't movies..in the 70's

    don;t go in the basement,

    don;t go in the house

don;t answer the phone , i am sure there are more don;t movies out there, people help me out

  • @tonyamalika Lol Don't tell mom the Babysitter's dead. I give up.

  • @tonyamalika

    don't go near the park

    don't go in the woods

  • I fuckin' love this movie.

  • These horror movies for the 70's and 80's were very cheesy but fun to watch. I love them.

  • @TheMidnighttoker24 jepp, they´re like "scary movie" today

  • smakin bitches up!

  • Don't answer the doorbell. Dont answer the email.

  • Don´t Open the door, Don´t look down the bed, Don´t answer the phone...DON´T DON¨T... i warned you. XD

  • Then who was phone?

  • Announcer: "Whatever you do, do not pick up the phone."

    * Girl picks up the phone. Turns around*

    "GASP!!"

    POW!!

LOOOOL!!! XD WHERE CAN I GET THIS MOVIE!!?

  • have this not watched it yet x

  • i just got through watching this movie. the stalker was just looney as hell.

  • is it any good? i have it on dvd looking forwords to it ha ha

  • @JoanCollins2009 It's good considering the time it was released. It has sort of a Ted Bundy/Hillside Strangler feel to it. The stranger played his role well. I was freaked out every time I saw him in the movie.

  • This movie sux so bad.

  • Right when the guy was creeping up on her and the music was starting there was a loud thump in the hotel room above me. I almost shit my pants, why does that always happen?

  • I LOVE that echo-y voice over.

  • i love that sleezo synth music. it makes the film more disturbing with that 70's film stock grain.

  • I agree! Even though or As much as I love the "clarity" of DVD, I, STILL, enjoy that "grainy 'old school' " look!

  • I have this film lol its great great 80s trashy slasher horror chiller thriller

  • The trailer is better than the actual movie.

  • i love grindhouse--looks like a must see. i found a new low budget film called "severed inn" that looks cool if you like hot chicks and horror

  • THE KILLER IS BLACK..HAHA

  • No he's not! You obviosuly haven't seen it if you think he's black.

  • lol it looked like an instructional video at the beginning :)

  • OJ the movie!

  • LMFAO HAHAHA best comment of all on this trailer

  • I'm amazed that nearly all the comments on this movie are positive! I've had this film in my collection since the original realease and thought i was the only one who really liked it!

  • awesome movie!

  • Damn telemarketers. FOR THE LAST TIME, I'M ON THE NO CALL LIST!!"

  • One of my favorites from the 80s.....sadly, they don't make exploitation films like this anymore.

Nicholas Worth gives a fine performance, i especially like the part where he brags about beating up the pimp.....it's hilarious!

  • I don't know...I would say "Crank" and its sequel is an execellent example of modern day exploitation films. I think the big problem is that Hollywood thinks purposely making a bad movie, thus treating exploitation as an artform or something, is the key, when the real trick is that it was pretty straightforward storytelling without the pretentiousness.

  • I completely agree Guardiann1, these films were never meant to be corporatised B.S. or mainstream, what have you. They were meant to be seen by winos in sleazy Times Square Theaters at 3 a.m., lol. The same can be said for all the remakes coming out now. When you try to redo something that was of its time, as films(especially horror) are, it feels forced.

  • I agree. Also, if you try to pass it off as artform, it backfires...like "Grindhouse", that came out in 2007. While I enjoyed it, i heard it did not do well...maybe if "Planet Terror" and "Death Proof" was just straightforward and honest(i.e. meant to be seen by winos in modern day Times Square Theatres)...it probably would be a success.

  • This film is great, the guy reminds me of a bloke i used to work with. The bit where hes laughing in the mirror haha!

  • what a sleazy, filthy flick. that spells a 'ringing' endorsement.

  • We should recommend this video to Quentin Tarantino......

  • He's going to remake it. Then call it something else. And then, it will flop!

    Ha ha ha!

  • classic horror pwns!

  • haha awesome

  • I enjoy listening to the people who voice the previews. Some, like this one, try WAY TOO HARD to make everything seem terrifying.

  • Wasn't this the blacksploitation rip off of When a Stranger Calls with Carol Kane?

  • Wow I absolutely love this trailer. I wanna see this movie. Horror films from the 30's to the 80's are SO MUCH BETTER

  • I totaly agree with you!!!! s-80s..the best horror movies!!!

  • See my video response..if you dare...

  • said it was private?

  • haha is this movie realy about some big black guy raping all kinds of women with lowerclass jobs while distracting them bu using a telephone? I love it

  • Nope, it's about some big white guy raping all kinds of women with lowerclass jobs while distracting them by using a telephone.

  • The dumb bitch at 1:25 is the best one. Real submissive slut got what she deserved.

  • I agree. I loved that scene in the movie. That bitch totally got what she deserved. Loved what he did to her.

  • is this sarcasm who are you a sick fuck
