@MondoBeno Because your average home computer can do it better and sound better doing it. The age of the home computer killed the need for toys like this. When you are a computer with almost 100 times the memory and ability to use software superior to a Speak & Spell, it won't be long before the Texas Instruments days are numbered. Even their home computers couldn't last.
