  • cool trail but there are no big jumps.

  • @gopy14 There are no big jumps. Not that kind of trail, but it is a fun place to ride. It's more of a XC experience.

  • Great video. I did lots of mountain biking back in 88-92 in Texas and occassionally get out on a 29'r. You have a nice trail!

  • @driewe I'm hoping to get a 29er some time soon. Thanks for watching the video. Hope to do more mountain biking videos in the near future.

  • great video - thx

  • @billoakesattablthree great comment - thx

  • can i do this on my BMX? :D

  • @zakokiller I don't see why not. I think having larger tires would be an advantage though with all the roots and logs. Do you have knobby tires?

  • ow okay nice. and no, i dont have knobby tires. :/

  • exelent place!!! dude!

  • @klaudyo64 Hoping to shoot a video about Alum Creek P2 this spring!

  • Mid-west single track. There ain't nothin finer. Every ride doesn't have to be technical. It's a blast to just get out and have fun on your bike.

  • @ebdiman Amen brother. This is a great trail. Some technical stuff, but mostly just fun to ride.

  • lol

  • i woudnet have to brake once .... ever on this

  • nice

  • Video kicks Arse man, good job. Forget these "i think im a superstar" riders5/5

  • @MrWezman82 Thanks. I'm hoping to shoot more videos this spring.

  • It is very easy looking though. When i joined with my university we did a more difficult trail on our fist day.

  • @Seangon123 It's not too difficult, but it's fun. Where do you usually ride?

  • White clay creek de is so much better

  • Dude the only trail in my area isn't very well maintained, has no markings telling you which is trail is advance and beginner. It's also by a sewage treatment plant. I hope you like ticks because your going to bring them home.

  • my 3 yr old son could do this try pro track ae in scotland

  • @treewacha That's a little far from my house. Do they make bike racks for boats? :)

  • have we gotten that P2 video yet....

  • @tlh235 Not yet. It's been a very busy summer. Hopefully soon.

  • this is trail comedy

  • that looks so fun i wish there were trails like this in northern virginia

  • That trail looks soooo much fun... I wanna try it now!!!!! :D

  • omg this looks like alot of fun. i wish they had trails like this in new jersey : /

  • @supitsgab We are shooting a video of Alum Creeks P2 trail this weekend. Make sure you subscribe so you can see the video we come up with.

  • bad HD

  • How far is just north of Columbus? I like 20 minutes south of Youngstown and I'd love to go here, I just don't want to drive HOURS to get there.. 2 hours wouldn't be bad.. it takes us 3 hours to get to Columbus.. way too long for me! :)

  • @braaup It's only about 20 minutes north of Columbus - maybe 15.

  • @AgileHProductions How does the trail start? Does it start at the top of a hill or what? That is the only thing I would hate is if you parked at the bottom of a trail, walked your bike 2 hours to the top and the trail was only like 20 minutes to get to the bottom then you would have to take another 2 hours hike to the top! I would be awesome if there was a cable car (some similar at a ski resort) to take you to the top so you can simply enjoy the ride and not worry about the tiring climb.

  • @braaup This trail is fairly flat. There is no downhill section. Just lots of little ups and downs.

  • mate if you lower your seat you can flex you knees more to absorb the bumps more

  • still wouldnt mine riding it

  • @huntingfreak901 It's not a bad place to ride, but you might prefer Alum Creek P2 Advanced trail.

  • it sounded good up till the itermediate even thought im 14 im number 1 in the state in my age divison at the state champion race but at other races i race in sport of advanced depending on weather conditions

  • i would like a smooth track like this i love trail biking but saddly there arn't that many were i live : (

  • Soooo easy..

  • Buddy, read the goddamn title!!!! Does the title say "World Most Dangerous Bike Trail" ? No, it says "Alum Creek Bike Trail Review".

It's a REVIEW, and an excellent one at that.

    5/5 stars.

  • @shoedoctor99 Too funny. All these "my three year old could do this . . ." comments are just people trying to toot their own horn.

If you've got a better video, post it!

  • good trail but it looks very easy

  • It is pretty easy. It is a XC course for intermediate riders.

  • Very nice trail

    regards from Serbia

  • That looks like an awesome trail! We have nothing of the sort here... just mind-numbing flatlands.

  • Where do you ride? What state?

  • Romania, Eastern Europe.. :(

  • @AgileHProductions i wish that the trails i ride/ race at had the man made opsticals since i also do trials biking

  • I'm living in Marion, OH and can't wait to try out this trail. Anyone have tips to find the trail head?

  • It's near the corner of Africa Road and Lewis Center Rd. Their should be signs. Also, P2 is four miles north of P1 on Africa Rd.

  • cool

  • what kind of camera are you using?

  • Sony HDR-SR12 - I like this camera a lot. Even though it is a consumer grade camera, I think it takes nice video. I wish it had more audio options, but with an adaptor, I think you can get close to professional results. It has a 120GB hard drive and can take over 15 hours of video on the highest quality setting.

  • oh, i can't afford that, i really want an HD camera but it can't be too expensive, do you have any reccomendations

  • Not sure what your budget is, but the same camera with a 60GB hard drive is probably half the price and uses the exact same chip, so you get the same quality. You might be able to find one on ebay and get it even cheaper. I was thinking about doing that, so that I have matching cameras for multicamera shoots.

  • ok thanks alot good video by the way looks like a great trail

  • Thanks for sharing.

  • I would kill for Phuket to have a trail like this, but instead I get rubber plantations with the occasional piece of wire to get trapped in my spokes.

Plus my mountain bike isn't exactly great either.

Good video, makes me wanna' shell out the cash to go there.

  • If you make it this far, then I have a few trails that I think are much better for an epic ride. I would love to come to Phuket to ride, so we are the envy of each other.

    James

  • Hehe, sounds good, I'll remember to look you up ;).

As for Phuket, the riding isn't that great. I have one spot I go downhill on, just straight downhill on dirt, no obstacles or anything, plus quite a few side-routes in the area which are alright, but I have yet to locate any other places on the island to provide more excitement.

And my god, I'm riding on this Thai thing made of steel with a gear cable that jams and squeaky v-brakes :P.

    And the front-shocks basically don't work :P.

  • In all fairness to the bike though, it's about six years old now, and I have no budget for a new one.

    I don't have a budget for anything I want.

I know people who've only just started learning guitar working with better equipment than what I have :P.

  • went today it was my first trail to ever ride. It was pretty fun until i ate it on that wood plank section in that open part of the woods :P

  • What helmet you guys recommend for trail riding like in this video? Brand/Model? Thanks

  • I have a Giro Havoc that I am very happy with.

  • i use bell fullface. well its very overkill for this but i like it ;) my bike is an scott aspect 45 from 2008 models it have a rock shox SID team fork and lot of more (long from standard model)

  • and kinda near the end of p1 there was a 2 way where u could choose to go the easy way or the more difficult way, what was in the more difficult way, cuz i didnt go that way i went the easy way

  • I think its a bridge with a steep entry and a large drop if you are talking about what I'm thinking of.

  • i just wen there at around 5 o clock it was so fun but i didnt go on p2 i went on p1 and yet it still had some challenging spots, but over it is a great ride, but at one point i was going down a dirt hill into the mini creek area where u ride over the rocks then, i was going and where u ride over the rocks looked like it was blocked but it wasnt so i slammed on mu breakes but then relized i was supposed to ride over em

  • do some proper mountain biking

  • What is "proper" mountain biking?

  • maybe on a hill at least

  • my dad and i are going there this weekend, and i havnt been on much trails, and p1 seems kinda easy for me, so do u recomend going on p2 then?

  • P2 definitely is more challenging. There are more skinnies, a few more climbs and some man-made technical obstacles if you want to kick it up a notch. Maybe I'll see you on the trail this weekend. I will be there Saturday and Sunday morning.

  • o and i forgot to ask u 1 question, if there is an obstacle i dont think i can pass, is there an option to go around it? like im not to good with skinnies so would i have an option to go around it? and like i said b4 is there any jumps at all in it? or any drops?

  • P1 has ride arounds for most of the obstacles, but P2 does not. There aren't really any major jumps. There are several places that you can do small jumps. There are two drops at P2 that I can think of.

  • hopfully and my dad and i decided to go around 12 or 1

  • u probably wont be able to make a vid of p2 b4 i go, but anyway could u still make a video of p2? i would greatly appreciate it

  • I've been thinking about it. I just need to find some spare time to do it.

  • this guy probably good, but if u read the title, and listened in the video he is just giving u a review/tour of the trail, and said there isnt any climbs or there might be some so dont get on his back for this

  • you should do a video of mohican state park near loudonville. easily the best singletrack i know of in ohio.

  • It was pretty dry the second half of the summer. The first half was a little damp. This was shot last fall and it was a very fast course then.

  • that is by FAR the dryest i have ever seen alum creek! every time i've been there, even long after the last rain, it's been a mud pit in many places. i would absolutely love to ride there when it's as dry as in this video!!!!!

  • i have fam in Westerville, is this trail close to there?`

  • This is about 10 miles from Westerville - maybe less - I live near Westerville and I ride there all the time.

  • This isn't the Alum Creek trail I am familiar with... it is paved. Are you riding up in the westerville area? The part I am familiar with is in the east side of the city, also Alum Creek trail I think...

  • There are Alum Creek Mountain Bike Trails near Alum Creek Reservoir and their is the bike path that goes through westerville. Two very different experiences. I did a video about the bike path also.
