@91Bear There is a large threaded cap in the centre of the blades that unscrews in a clockwise direction so it doesn't unscrew by itself. Undo that cap and the blades slide off the motor shaft.
This fan was made in the 70's. It could be a lower model, because I know that there was also the crystal zephyr that came out in the same year. I had one too, if you want to check out the video, it's titled "Japanese Vintage fans" on my site.
Too bad the blades broke. I had a blue Toshiba like that too, and on of the blades got chipped.
How do you remove the blades?

It's likely to be a lower end model, but It's still very nice, despite the damage.

I would love to have one of these green blade fans so much.

That's part of the reason I bought it. They're awesome!

Great fan but a common flaw is the blades that break/shatter so easily. Blade can be repaired with super-glue and bicarbonate of soda.

I've sent this to a couple of Japanese fan enthusiasts I know, we'll see what they say. Too bad the blade is messed up.

When I saw it up on the shelf, I had to get it. I've never before seen a plastic four-blade fan before.

yea the 4 blade ones are quite rare you never see many of them

Blade set is the right color though blue is more common. They used to do that. I had a blue Toshiba with orange speed buttons.
Expect this fan to be from ~1974.
