  • good vids

  • a;ways liked this driver and the ligiers were a good team

  • Lafitte makes really smooth moves while being on the limit, I love his driving style. If he had the right cars he could have been a champion.

  • Lafite had bigger balls than Senna.

  • @dks11000 Not in the wet. Senna did inhumane things in the wet.

  • Balls of steel.

  • that angry sounding V-12 just howling away like it was nothing.

  • Holy shit....trees at Variante Ascari xDDD

  • @bubi8894 hehe (for safety reasons, so they would slow the car down lol!)

  • @bellxl where you took this Videos? They are beautiful

  • I could watch this vid over and over again, Jacque's was such a real type driver and modest person too,

Im tired of all the dumb bragging of pompous US driver;s winning this or that,

smooth and consistant is where its at and not showing off to a car owner,

That Matra V-12 just howling away like there was no tomorrow,

    Absolute Mechanical Music!!!!!

  • i cant turn my speakers up loud enough!!!

  • The tree at variante Ascari on the right hand side would be a bit of an eye opener in todays safe F1 world!

  • The cameras where so large back then they wouldnt be able to race with them on, so yes practice.

  • this must be a practice

  • Definively this is a practice because the sun is at left in Rettifillo Centrale, that goes from north to south. Conclusion: this is a morning practice.

  • All those tracks were so beatiful and so dangerous before

  • i dont see how this track is more dangerous than now. all the turns are pretty straightforward.

  • pretty small barriers, not much run off area and a lot of dark shaded areas (im guessing)

  • what a noise!!!!!

  • From 2:15 to 3:10 !!!

  • beautiful sounds.

    miss the v12 engine sounds

  • ground effects ftw

  • All these F1 videos, old and new, just give me more respect for these drivers. With the aid or technology or not, takes some amazing skills, and a "pair of nuts that reach to the floor" to race an F1 car. Awesome videos.

  • very tru mi frend

  • Listen to that Matra V12 sing!!

Monza! The temple of Speed and Sound from a F1 Car!

  • That is a V12

  • "No human being can do miracles, you know, but Gilles made you wonder," added fellow racer Jacques Laffite.

  • greta vid,,good to see driving a f1 car for real not like today

  • it's incredible to see some trees at the "variante ascari"...this remind the security level in that period

  • made in france ^^

  • Grande Jaquot! Fantastico. Che nostalgia di quella F1..

  • che piacere!!

  • I agree that the aircraft-automobiles of today are just horribly ugly. So sad. Bringing back ground effect or eliminating aero altogether, returning the cars to racing cars, is not near at all.

  • what year is this from? it looks like late 70s or early 80s.

  • yeah its 1978

  • great, the ground effect era; maybe F1 should reintroduce the ground effect to some degree, to clean up the mess on the skin (thousand of winglets) of the current F1 cars; anyway, the cars of that time represent for me one of the best compromises in F1 racing: great power to weight (that did not require expensive technology), decent aerodynamics and good grip; too bad safety was not on the same level

  • awesome stuff!!!!

  • smashing uploads...fabulous stuff..

  • What a concert!

  • Excellent!!
