Joe seems like a smart kid. In the seventh grade, IMO, you're too young to be dating and worrying about who likes whom. That's an older high school thing, or college even. In deciding to set all that aside and have fun with his friends, I think Joe made a sound decision.

True story, I go to college near where Joe lives. Ira was in town last night and Joe and his mother both attended the show. They showed this segment and Ira then admitted that Joe may have a crush. As everyone exited the show we saw Joe along with his special lady friend, he has betrayed his 14 year old self!
