it works just for the ipod feature you have to unhook it when you get a call or to make a call

this unit is great... i bought one for my 2007 nissan se-r and it fits just like a factory stereo as promised by pioneer. yes you can watch ipod vids on it. you just have to change your ipod setting to "tv on" instead of "tv off" on the vid settings. and than you have to select the playlist manually from the ipod.

yes. but what happens is you have the movie dvd in the 1 slot and the navigation is temporarily stored into memory.

You have to take a pic off of a picture disk

All you need to do to "bypass" is put a permanant ground supply onto the parking cable in the rear of the stero, because its supposed to be on the switched ground of your handbrake "e brake" so it comes on when the e brake is on, but just whack on a permant ground it will play dvds while driving etc, :) hope this helps people

Gen6 classic can't play video though now through the Pioneer Ipod cable. Must get a gen5 or 5.5 for this to work as it did when it came out. I've heard some saying running old 1.0.2 firmware on the gen6 will still allow this to work though.

no, it was shot in high def so my computer had trouble keeping up sometimes when transferring the video.

definitely. I had looked at other brands and noticed pioneer had the largest line up. the most selection. so i figured they must know what there doing. this is the best upgrade ive done to my 350Z. has a ton of accessories too like back up camera, bluetooth hands free, xm, traffic and of course ipod connectivity. the point of interest on the gps is very impressive to.
