Been planning on watching Clannad, but my friend keeps showing me the sad parts... I'm not so sure anymore, since those small clips made me cry my heart out. The anime has amazing OST's though, and I've already learned how to play this on the piano. Yay Clannad.
once you finish watching the entire series, you wish you could watch it again the same way as before. but, its just not the same. that first time really hits home. its sad. i wish there were more tragic/romance type genres like these that have been translated. although, i believe Clannad can never be recreated. i'm sure we all want to see the series continue and see how Uhsino grows up. however, deep down inside, we know it shoudn't be extended. its for the very best. Let Clannads legacy reign.

TTGL, Elfen Lied, Code Geass & then Clannad. This order broke my mind. I sugested all of them (TTGL is more epic than criable but you'll definetly like it being my top anime).
Clannad is simply :'(. WAIT, WAIT, WAIT, CORRECTION :').
That's right, even though Clannad has the saddest moments I've ever watched in an anime, it also has the happiests. Fuko's appearence, Kotomi's parents letter, Nagisa's "reborn", all these moments, that were more then the sad ones, made this anime.

Saying frankly, Clannad is one of the best anime created and that are to be created, not because of the perfect story, because he has the power to change our lifes, our vision of the world, the vision of love
PS: I love to cry but can not as much as I want, this was one of the few that made me cry, others mademe drop tears were: Air TV, Ano no Hana, Kanon 2006.

this song also showed me to get ready to cry or get very angry at one of the characters like when tomya was about to fight his best frined (i foget his name) when may was trying to help her brother find another purpose or something like tht this song usually played in fighting scenes in the after story
Isn't it mysterious how fiction can tug at our heart strings so much more vividly than reality? I cried far more at the tragic moments in After Story than when my real father died... not saying that wasn't tragic, but somehow reality felt less real than the fiction (if that makes any sense)

my sister never cried watching this. but when it comes to TV shows and movies, NOTHING makes her cry. she's not moved by things like that cuz she doesn't understand that it's what some shows and movies aim to do. they want you to feel the things the characters are feeling. what's happening on the screen in front of you may not be real, but it's based off of real situations and you have to connect it to those real life situations.

I remember me being very depressed a few years ago. Out of curiousity I began watching this series. It made me feel happy again. I recognise a lot of myself in Tomoya's situation. The series thaught me I could make my life happy by helping out others.
Ah...Clannad. This anime was a rollercoaster of feelings. It'll make you laugh at funny moments in life, but also make you cry about the tragedies of life. This anime perfectly showed how even though everything in life is changing, there will always be a place for everyone and to never give up on living.
this ost reminds me of Yusuke Yoshino's story of how he became a popular rock star. he was enjoying his fame only to realize that a lot of people are relying on his songs for inspiration to keep on living. he couldn't handle the responsibility of being a "savior" so he quit music. such a powerful story and proves that music really saves souls

When Ushio died, I cried for 3 days straight, even in class. in clannad, i cried sooo much. in the after story, even more. clannad was such a touching anime. funny, romantic, sad, and suspenseful. i still miss fuko... </3
@SimsOMGplayer I know. This anime had the same effect on me too. ( although I didn't cry in class ) I was just too depressed to even socialize with anyone because this anime made me cry so much. But it had a nice recovery in the end that made me happy and realize we won't get a second chance in what we do the way Tomoya had.

clannad is one of the few anime that made me cry the most. especially clannad afterstory!! it was the saddest. i pity poor tomoya with all the things and death that he has to go through and all. the chill of listening a song from an anime that i hasn't watched in a long time is still running down my back. eek!!!
@kashiku01 yeah it actually is, but in the first season you get to know the characters well - so when you see the second season the story gets much deeper
I swear to God I did not cry during this anime. That would be me lying. That scene between Ushio and Tomoya in the field of flowers got me, that and others. Its only an anime and yet it triggers one hell of a response from pretty much everyone who watched it, what a masterpiece ^^
It takes alot to make me cry. I am not one of those girls who tears up easily. This anime however had me crying in so many different parts during both seasons, that it was ridiculous. It was such a wonderful and beautiful show.
...But I just finished watching Elfen Lied and reading the manga so this is just adding to the sadness. Maybe I should pause on watching Clannad for a while...
@JCAznDude That song I deserves a special place...I remember hearing for the first time in the anime, and I thought nothing much of it; just some children's song. After finishing After Story...I can't help but feel like that is one of the most emotional songs in the whole OST. Now that's something that can't be done very easily.
the only thing i cant understand... why cant I understand ... i have to cry when ever i watch a sad scene, and laugh when i watch a funny scene... its so perfect!!!

When Ushio died, I cried for 3 days straight, even in class. in clannad, i cried sooo much. in the after story, even more. clannad was such a touching anime. funny, romantic, sad, and suspenseful. i still miss fuko... </3

@SimsOMGplayer I know. This anime had the same effect on me too. ( although I didn't cry in class ) I was just too depressed to even socialize with anyone because this anime made me cry so much. But it had a nice recovery in the end that made me happy and realize we won't get a second chance in what we do the way Tomoya had.

@KHnaruto29 You should know that the rules of copyright state that that the term of copyright was to be a minimum of the author's lifetime plus 50 years. Even if he prolonged it during his life, the therm has passed, so now you can use his material but you can't claim it as your own.

@choasmaster71 well, if liked it enought to watch it till the end then that means that he likes it. and therefore he would have cried. but if he didnt like it and he didnt watch till the end becuz it was too boring then he wouldnt even feel the full power of the anime CLANNAD. therefore destroying his soul... lol jk about the soul part.

clannad is one of the few anime that made me cry the most. especially clannad afterstory!! it was the saddest. i pity poor tomoya with all the things and death that he has to go through and all. the chill of listening a song from an anime that i hasn't watched in a long time is still running down my back. eek!!!

I swear to God I did not cry during this anime. That would be me lying. That scene between Ushio and Tomoya in the field of flowers got me, that and others. Its only an anime and yet it triggers one hell of a response from pretty much everyone who watched it, what a masterpiece ^^

It takes alot to make me cry. I am not one of those girls who tears up easily. This anime however had me crying in so many different parts during both seasons, that it was ridiculous. It was such a wonderful and beautiful show.

@JCAznDude That song I deserves a special place...I remember hearing for the first time in the anime, and I thought nothing much of it; just some children's song. After finishing After Story...I can't help but feel like that is one of the most emotional songs in the whole OST. Now that's something that can't be done very easily.
