Keep in mind Relic haven't officially stated who canonically won Kaurava. They implied in some Dawn of War 2 dialogue that the Blood Ravens defeat is canon, but nothing else. Most fans think the Imperial Guard won, so that's what's most commonly accepted, but who knows?

Personally, I think they should come out and say the Guard won, no one else could've won. Stubbs was the only commander who knew what he was doing. If they say anyone else won, much rage and derp will be had.

@Tassadarky guard won winter assault i believe. taldeer must of escaped offscreen in order to appear in dark crusade. as shield of sturnn drops in retribution that states he led his ment o recover the titan. plus a novel shows his men celebrating the reclaiming of the titan (damned if i can remember its name)

@Xboxzilla well the orcs got a part canon ending in dark crusade by killing the chaos leader. though no luck in retribution, which shocks me as the 1st trailer showed the orks and i at first thought they would be the only playable group. oh and on the alliances subject, the eldar in fairness did draw first blood. the guardsmen inform her she is violating the treaty by moving her troops their in winter assault, and taldeer wipes out the guardsmen and relocates her base their. its her fault

"Kasr" is a term for the cities on the fortress-world of Cadia, hence the Cadian veterans are "Kasrkin". They should have said "second only to Cadia itself", at least then they'd have been theoretically correct, although it'd still be a bland and uninteresting epilogue.

It's also the ending with the most developer effort (take a look at Soulstorm Necron ending), we lengthily know what's going off on Kaurava under Stubbs. I'd be tempted to say Stubbs is the best voiced commander out of all the badly done ones, so that's a factor. Also the stupid "100 Baneblades" mistake thing can be ignored if Stubbs won as well.

@saviordd1 while that is true the books and the tabletop game are very different (besides health bars) in the books the use of commissars are limited. i have read books were there arent commissars at all. now yes some guardsmen run and flee but that shouldnt set a label on the whole army that there cowards. the guardsmen are deployed in large numbers to "swarm" the foe in question, so the spell is very helpful. commissars are there to encourge them to fight harder, there not there to kill them
