I like the singer, and I've always thought Korean as a rougher sounding language, so this song helped reverse that thought.

On the downside, although I know the key change was necessary to suit the singer's voice, I think it makes it sound... less delicate? Hmm.

Anyway, it didn't bring anything new to the song, which makes it hard for it to firmly stand by its original without garnering criticism like this. If she had the song remixed or rearranged, then maybe it would have been better...

Well... it's not like Namie was that good of a singer back then when she recorded the piece. But at least she had so much explosive power. Her shaky technique and range misfit (back then) had always bothered me, but it wasn't until I heard this rendition that I realized how much Namie owned the song... Seo Yeon here does an ok job. Just that when compared with a classic, this rendition isn't it.

Surprisingly, she replied saying it might come out this year. I guess she is having a hard time making things work out, because she was not successful as much as the production company expected.

The singer's name is Seo Yeon.

She had her 1st album in 2003 and never came back.

Most of her title songs were remakes, there were some people who just didn't like her.

However, I think her voice is very good. I mean, she was not well trained as much as BoA was, but check out her other song, 'In Summer', not many Korean female singers have that kind of voice.
