  • i want to hike all the ranges in those photos!

  • I LIKE THIS

  • I see these Mountains everyday, beautiful :]

  • I love the fact there are hippies on here upset that the video doesn't consist of the Blue Ridge Mountains only. How many times will smtunit explain himself...the drama continues! LMAO

  • I have to see these guys live....i just have to

  • love this...the vocals sooo pure...

  • Give me chills! in a good way, Just love it!

  • This + Forestymood = Nice song!!!

  • can't believe people are making such a big deal about the images not being of the actual blue ridge mountains.

i somehow ended up with some Fleet Foxes in my iTunes, but still never really got into them, then one day i had my music on shuffle, and this song came on, and i was like 'this is a fucking great song!'

  • Fleet Foxes, Bon Iver, City and Colour, Damien Rice, James Vincent McMorrow, Iron and Wine, Pablo Blaqk, Glen Hanserd, and Coldplay are a few of the greatest artists to ever live. :)

  • BECAUSE SOME OF THESE PICTURES AREN'T OF THE AUTHENTIC BLUE RIDGE MOUNTAIN THIS SONG TOTALLY SUCKS NOW. THANKS A LOT.

  • i've listened to this song countless times, absolutely brilliant!

  • I'm blessed to have grown up in the foothills of the blue ridge mountains of NC. Not to brag...okay, yeah, I'm bragging a little. Haha. I'm proud of where I'm from though. :)

  • fuck ittttt everyoonneee its an amazing songgg and the pictures are still nice to look at :P

  • For all the heat you're getting on inaccurate photos, I love how right on the line "Blue Ridge Mountains...over near Tennessee" it's a shot of the Linn Cove Viaduct--quite literally "near" Tennessee, just across the border in North Carolina. Well done (whether intentionally or not) ;D

  • I like the way you didn't just put in pictures of the blue ridge mountains, but a lot of difference which shows the beaty if our diverse earth :D

  • @Robinzorz *beauty

  • So those aren't the blue ridge mountains to the song 'blue ridge mountains' right? you're aware? ;)

Just kidding, i read the comments - it's just funny every time, like watching someone dig a hole to 'stairway to heaven'

  • This is the kind of music you feel mostly in the heart.

  • @juiaob Best comment - so true

  • Amazing song and pretty good video but you know not all of these pictures are of the blue ridge mountains... lol I'm just fucking with you

  • <3!!

  • We're surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains <3

  • Thanks for this.

  • All the images of the different Mountains are so beautiful. Thankyou for sharing these lovely pictures. Perfect with this wonderful song.

  • I am mortified. These are NOT all photos of the blue ridge. And that matters. That matters to me. I am frustrated and unfulfilled. And damn it, I'm gonna tell you about it. Why? Because I am a DOUCHE-BAG.

Thank you for the video. I plan on moving to North Carolina soon and can use the inspiration. Wonderful job.

  • I'll love to see them.

  • @SMTunit made a very beautiful video for everyone who is a Fleet Foxes fan, or soon to be a fan. I'm petty sure that he invest a lot of time making these videos, but for the people who are anal, hard headed. and don't understand the beauty of art. I have two words GROW UP, nothing in the world is perfect, but it doesn't hurt to try? right? Just be happy someone cared about amazing band and made this video.

    have a good day,

P.S SMTuint if have time, you should make some videos form Helplesblue

  • Magnificiente!

  • Great song, good video, except a lot of the pictures aren't the Blue Ridge Mountains. Still gorgeous pictures, but the song is called Blue Ridge Mountains.... I mean come on.

  • @jcascio Do I have to explain myself again?! Please take a look at all the other comments that I have commented on telling people how I did not intend on putting pictures of just the Blue Ridge Mountains, but of many very beautiful mountain ranges that I felt deserved to be in my video. You make it sound like I am completely oblivious to the fact that the song is called "Blue Ridge Mountains", but I am quite aware.

  • @SMTunit You should ignore those comments... they are not even doing an effort of reading the comments themselves, so why should you explain it to them week after week haha

  • @DDeDokter Ha good point. It's just very frustrating, but I'll try not to comment on them anymore. :-)

  • @SMTunit I understand, good luck haha. And thanks again for uploading.

  • @jcascio i thought the same thing when I watched Bloodbath Eaten. Nobody was eaten alive. Lighten up

  • @jcascio Idiot!!!

  • I have Been there : D

  • Love the song, and love the natural beauty of the mountains shown, but most of the images chosen to go with this song don't make sense. If you google image "Blue Ridge Mountains" you get 10,800,000 results, nearly all of which are fabulous examples of the extraordinary area I call home. I love Mt. Rainier, but have no idea why it or any other non-Blue Ridge mountains would be in a video with this song. It's like making a video to Empire State of Mind and showing images of Chicago and L.A.

  • @starshine3987 Again I did not intend putting pictures of just the blue ridge mountains in my video, but many different beautiful mountain ranges. If you do not like that I did not put pictures of just the blue ridge mountains in my video, then feel free to make your own.

  • 99 percent of these pictures are not of the blue ridge mountains. Not a quality video.

  • @omgwtfbbqasz The point to my video was not to put just pictures of the blue ridge mountains, but of many really nice pictures of many different mountain ranges. So maybe before making a judgement on if my video is quality for not you should find out what my motives were behind making it.

  • @omgwtfbbqasz such a beautiful song and all u can do is complain about something instead of enjoying it. i ****** hate ppl like u !

  • One of my favorite Fleet Foxes songs:)

  • this song is so beautiful that it nearly scares me

  • Cuanta imensidad, preciosa

  • haha oh I wish this is what the Blue Ridge Mountains looked like. Are some of these from Patagonia?

  • These are wonderful images to go with this music. Love the Fleet Foxes! Thank you for putting these together.

  • this video is amazing!

  • Just beautiful. The Blue Ridge will keep my bones; I could never leave it. Your Fleet Foxes videos are incredible! :)

  • I love this tune! I think it's actually called White Winter Hymnal, though, not Blue Ridge Mountains. Thanks for uploading!

  • @eireseeker you lie

  • @BigFellaThanks You're correct. I was mistaken. No need to be nasty, though.

  • Too bad those mountains are not in the Blue Ridge.

  • SMTunit did you take these pictures?

  • when i went to see them at Merriweather this song got the most "Wuuuuu!" 's

  • Growing up in the shadow of the Blue Ridge has been the greatest thing to ever happen to me

  • This video would have 1300 views without me

  • Incredible images too go along with a wonderful song. Thank-you for this post SMTunit. Very enjoyable.

  • just saw them live last night. They were AMAZING

  • @gmaweill they were at rolling stone weekender, what a pity i missed it, but they will come again.

  • This is a wonderful song... and for some reason part of its melody reminds me of part of the melody of Work Song by Nat Adderley, but I'm sure any similarities were unconscious on the part of Fleet Foxes.

  • breathtaking pictures ..... thanks for sharing it

  • Oh rocky top how I miss you.... The harmonies remind me of crosby stills and nash

  • my heart just cried with these delightful voices.

  • Good job. Colorado girl here.

  • Yeah...some of these are definitely not the Blue Ridge mountains. But regardless, still a beautiful video. My home is in Asheville, but I'm currently living abroad, and I feel like I'm missing a part of myself because I am so far away from the Blue Ridge mountains. This song is a nice reminder of them:)

  • this is a great song, makes me feel all nostalgic, but half of the pictures are the rockies. just sayin.

  • this is NOT the Blue Ridge Mountains,,,,,,,Rockies perhaps.

  • I crank this song driving on the blue ridge parkway in the fall bending corners with the windows down in my lowered vr6 passat wagon. So beautiful

  • english countryside puts these places to shame!

  • @richimeredith youre comparing American Moutains to English Hills....... it's wilderness not farmland

  • @str8died ... i was joking, the english countryside is pretty weak

  • while it may not have the least negative imp[act on the environment just because one is in a car doesnt mean theyre not in nature. i live near the blueridge unfortunately gotta drive to get to all the spots where you can walk around but those drives are amazing and i think i found a new soundtrack. this comment is way too long

  • your videos are beautiful

  • @va89311 Thank you! :-)

  • this is a beautiful song

  • reminds me of camas valley oregon

  • Ah, I miss my brothers....

  • recently discovered this song, it's AWESOME and so is the band! their songs are so creative and have such individuality

  • I think my ears just came...

  • i'm japanese. i heard this song for the first time at starbucks and It has become my favorite! is this band famous in America?

  • @ryouga1003 id say so this song is about a major mountain range on the east coast and he mentiond the state i was born in in the lyrics

  • The guitar player is my neighbor. His name is sky

  • I know this sounds weird but Fleet Foxes are the best band I've ever listened to while smoking pot. It puts you in a super calm mood and the song just takes control of you. I literally started tearing up when I listened to this song blazed, and I do the same when I'm not. I love Fleet Foxes. I'm a straight guy and I want to fuck Robin for making such amazing music.

  • Perfect for trail running

  • These are not the Blue Ridge Mountains - the Blue Ridge are in the Appalachians and aren't that high!

  • 9 people are not brothers of his.

  • 9 people never went to the Blue Ridge Mountains...

  • spagheti and fleetfoxes<3

  • ^^ I live in the Great Smokey Mountains,Part of the Blue Ridge Mountains. They really do appear blue, its such a majestic beautiful place to live and grow up in. Every morning you can look out and see their blue splendor. I love my mountains <33

  • I'd love to hear a song about Heaven from this band.

  • It is good... except that more than half of your pics are not the Blue Ridge...

  • @cainecortellino How can you tell?

  • Intro sounds like Camille-Paris

  • i agree that looks nothing like the blue ridge mountains in the apalachain area

  • those aren't the blue ridge mountains where i live

  • this makes me want to cry because I dnt have the money to travel the world as I please.

  • Incredible.

    Stunning.

    Amazing.

    Touching.

    BEAUTIFUL

I just cant find the right words to describe this masterpiece.

  • I'm thirsty, lol?

  • @Rdizzle97 and?

  • @Rdizzle97 And later that day, I retrieved a beverage and quenched my thirst. A story to be told to many generations..

  • i cant tell u how much i love the fleet foxes:) there a modern day 70s experience:))) hippies can sing :)

  • <3 this vid. :3

  • twat!,course europe has mountinous ranges like that nobend

  • Those mountains are so pretty. It’s downright criminal that the world doesn’t marvel in their brilliance—perhaps the most beautiful in america. I don’t even think Europe has anything that pretty. When I die, I’d like remains transported to Macon County, NC.

  • 9 people were born with no ears

  • My mom says: "Go and learn how to sing!"

  • Very beautiful images to one of the best songs of all time. Thank you!

  • makes me wanna leave it all behind and move to new zealand

  • the begginig reminds me so much of crosby stills nash and young

  • At the chorus i always think buddy the elf " I passed through the seven levels of the Candy Cane forest, through the sea of swirly twirly gumdrops

  • Sorry buds but I live IN the blue ridge mountains and these are NOT the Blue Ridge....

  • this is by far, one of the best songs i've ever heard. fleet foxes has so much talent.

  • This song makes me wanna take a drive throughout the countryside and just take it all in.

  • @ipfreely122 drive? not camp, or walk? or actually be in nature?

  • @ipfreely122 ...and that is exactly what I did today while listening to this song :)

  • @ipfreely122 When I lived in the country, this was my winter soundtrack like every day when I drove to work. It just fit that landscape perfectly.

  • so glad I found this band!

  • why does a good song have to be so gay?

  • @ITPCD You mean 'gay' like happy and joyful? Why should a good song not be like that? :P

  • @LovingByProxy You win! :D

  • @SMTunit

    Aaahhh, on earth

  • @SMTunit

    Where are these locations?

  • This song gives me goosebumps....love it sooo much :)

  • Great visual experience.....

  • Again I say, Crosby Stills Nash & Young

  • Cannot express in words how amazingly beautiful this song is. :)

  • Love this song, thanks for posting

  • They aren't the Blue Ridge Mountains ... some of those shots look like they're from Africa :P

  • This is Incredible !! This Song took Me right Out of Babylon and Into the Forrest, where I really Needed to Be, Just to Be, Just Be..... Maybe a Tree, Maybe Find Me, and Just Be. Weeeeeeeeeeee, Hee hee.... Just BE FREEEEEEEEEE To Be Me

  • this song reminds me of when i was little, looking up at the rocky mountains

  • I have a 6 page essay due tomorrow and I turned all the lights off, and put this song on full screen. It's done now:)

  • those pictures are surely not the blue ridge mountains! try and divide them in half the size and subtract the snow

  • They remind me a lot of America... Both the band and the country.

  • Where's all the pictures of the Blue Ridge Mountains??! Come on man

  • Robin has an amazing voice. Dark and rich like fragrant fertile soil. I was starting to think America could no longer produce profound music.

  • @terrybeaton Look to the Northwest, man. There are all sorts of insightful artists in Oregon and Washington. It's as if their proximity to the ocean and such mighty forests gives them an ability to make amazing music. Maybe you're not into metal, but an interesting group to look into is Agalloch. They produce "organic" metal which is both atmospheric and stimulating. I'm not exaggerating when I say their music emulates the feeling of nature.

Good luck with your search for even more great music!

  • @IDFPleonexia I;'ve always wanted to travel to the great north-west of the States ,,it looks beautiful ,,can you get a train from Cali to washington,,would love to trek in the forests ...might find D.B Cooper's stash!!or him!!!

  • Great vid showing just how beautiful this planet can really be . Many thanks!

  • great pictures man!

  • This band is awesome them & Band of Horses AWESOME!

  • @samoanheat1 i sooo deeply agree with this. <3

  • Nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love it bro!!!!

  • Those pictures were perfect with this song. They inspire in me that same feeling of deep serenity every time I look at the mountains, especially during winter. I think to myself, " This is what heaven is like."

  • This is one of the most beautiful videos I have ever seen. Your Photos are breathtaking and coupled with this deeply spiritual music... my head is spinning with emotion. I have recently fallen in love with the Fleet Foxes-- words can't express how I feel about their music. Sublime, art at it's finest. Thank you.

  • Alright, so does anyone else think these guys sound a bit like America and Local Natives combined?? Eh, they're just plain good either way.

  • in the quivering forest

    where the shivering dog rests

    our good grandfather

    built a wooden nest

    and the river got frozen

and the home got snowed in

and the yellow moon glowed bright

    til the morning light<3
