I wonder if this is where Norm McDonald got his schtick? Does anyone remember watching Rich Hall on SNL in the 80's and he played this guy that was always in the tv camera shot? A reporter would be doing a news story live on the scene and in the background he'd be looking all awestruck staring at he camera. SOunds stupid but it was hilarious. Wish I could find that on here.

@owenhunt You have no idea how happy I was to come across Buzzcocks, and yes that was the first British comedy show I saw. From there I became familiar with many of the comedians. Now American comedy just doesn't seem the same, especially since the censors are a little "bleep happy". Now I know why Rich Hall does his comedy out of the US, heh.

@Doomsday2424 I think the primal reason for him doing rounds in the UK is because he has a very stereotypical brash American accent that is incongruous with his acute observations on his own country. He is like a parody of the American comedian but with a lot more to offer for my money. Reginald D. Hunter is also to my tatste.
