Are those the gretsch heads that came with the set? I have been looking at getting new heads for mine gretsch and I like how yours sounds, but I also have my resonate side tuned about a 3rd higher than the heads.
in the video, they're gretsch stock heads. They're not bad when tuned well. But i would suggest upgrading the batter heads because I have to the Evans EC2's and they're great. I used them to record recently and they sound fantastic. Such a great tone...And yeah usually I have the resonant heads higher than the batter heads but it depends on the size of the drum for the best interval to use to get the best sound out of the drum.
nice job man...I like how you kept it clean...not to much...not to little...Gerat. I use the same kit at my church...check out some of my vids man...keep it up.
Is this set the same as Gretsch catalina maple ?
