Kurt did not kill himself, watch the video on my channel, so many things just dont add up, for examples who tries to overdose on drugs, and then shoots themselves with a shotgun, you do one or the other to kill yourself, not both, somebody was trying to make sure he was dead.
Like all true Pisceans Kurt entered our lives in a devastatingly dramatic flurry of light & darkness. he gave us hope we weren't alone,at the same time making us aware at how fucking bad it really was! I know how ataraxic the needle was for him as it is for most junkies. You cant possibly have great empathy & compassion without great suffering. This place,this life gets incredibly draining & sickening sometimes,he chose his own way out rather than waiting for more destruction. RIP MY LOVE
He killed himself because of the pressures from his career and his habits as a human being. If you watch a lot of his interviews or documentary footage he never liked talking for the camera or explaining why he did what he did. He just wanted to write music and enjoy the process. The bullshit that comes with supporting yourself as a musician like giving everyone what they want and taking people's shit is ultimately draining. Im not gonna say anybody murdered him. Im not gona get in on that debate. All i am gonna say is that, if you delete the end, from "Frances and Courtney I'll be at your altar"... and so forth, it really just seems like a retirement from music note. Nowhere before that does it imply suicide. I mean, I know Kurt had an odd mind, but normal people just dont kill themselves because they feel "too much emotion". I am NOT saying I think anybody killed him. It's just something to think about.
@lacycr96 Kurt was in a lot of pain for a long time. He had some unexplainable stomach pain, which haunted him for years. and I think the phsyical pain as well as his heroin addiction, slowly made him more and more not just sad, but despondent. As he say in the letter, he feels guilty for not being able to enjoy the life he has, the life everybody would dream of having, and I think the overdosises and his latest behavior made him think he was a faliure as a parent as well. only my opnion ofc...

Can we really push the like button on a suicide note? I'd feel strange doing that but I did read it. It's like saying yeah Kurt I totally agree with you killing yourself and as a fan approve and totally understand that ending it is the way to go. I just can't do that. Suicide is hard on those we leave behind and at times we don't understand why. It must have been unbearable his physical and mental pain. Just wish someone could have convinced him that he could have had some peace on this earth.

@jakeprince720 There are people who have purposely shot themselves in the head. It's quick and you can be very successful at ending your life. Once the brain doesn't function you're dead. Now I don't want anybody actually doing that. I'm just saying people have done that. I'm not so sure though about how he died but shooting heroin then shooting yourself isn't a far fetched thought. Whether famous or not. There are other options killing oneself is such a sad desperate attempt for relief.

I've just noticed something , nirvana's first album was full of happy songs. but in utero has all these good but quite depressing songs. he was happy at first but he became deeper and deeper into drug abuse and it fucking ruined him. to which he shot himself

He was a hard core heroin addict and thats why his stomach hurt all the time.The pain becomes more acute and they have trouble coping without the drugs. The depression comes with the drug use and the feeling of helplessness. Shit I mean "Heart Shaped Box" was giant field of poppy plates. He killed himself because he did not have a clear head and he was very depressed. I wish he was still around tho. So much talent!
@Killerdoctor27 Cobain generally wore long sleeves, sure, but he was filmed and photographed in short sleeves here and there. He was even wearing a short sleeve shirt in Nirvana's last concert in Germany, a month before his death. His stomach condition was thought to have been caused by a pinched nerve brought on by his scoliosis, but was never officially diagnosed, and he was known to have had issues with his stomach well before heroin became a fixture in his life.

You obviously have never used opiates cuz if you had you would know that constant use can cause stomach pain. Why do you think heroin addicts are often times so skinny? It hurts to eat. He was obviously on drugs and yes, of course heroin will eventually fuck you and your entire life up. I was pointing out, however, that Kurt was (according to him and people who knew him) dealing with his stomach symptoms long before he became a junkie. And he was occasionally filmed/photographed in short sleeves. Just sayin'.

I am going off of what Kurt himself, and people close to him and Nirvana have said on the subject. The ironic thing is that Kurt always claimed heroin helped his stomach - perhaps it simply exacerbated it over time. I don't doubt your claims about the effects of regular heroin use on the body and mind, and I respect your opinion from that standpoint. merry xmas!

I have i a started shooting dope when i was 17 and didnt stop till i was 30. it's not painful for a heroin addict to eat and the only effect constant heroin use has on the stomach (in most cases) is really bad heart burn. I know this not only cause i'm an ex junkie but cause i'm also a certified addiction counselor and working at an inpatient rehab.

Add to the fact that three months before kurt was found dead he tried to kill himself in rome. We know this suicide attempt was real cause Dave Grohl even admitted it. It's no coincident that kurt tried to kill himself in rome, then had an intervention went to rehab, left rehab and was found dead. All of those behaviors add up to suicide. Face reality.

It's true that Kurt couldn't lift the gun with that much heroin injected. But afaik the police found a can of beer next to his body - if he would inject the heroin to the beer and drink it, the effect would take longer to kick in, am i right? or does heroin only work if you inject it right to the blood?

This is why he used "paper flower" poppies in the music video for Heart Shaped Box. Kurt then made the fake tape of a child calling for Boddah. The name came from me being interested in other religions. My grandfather was an evanelist and I wanted to know more about the world. Kurt and I were very close friends and wrote many songs together.
Why couldn't the last few lines have been "added in" by Kurt himself while he was fucked up on dope? Seems like a legitimate explanation for the apparent shift in style, especially considering the entire handwritten note was examined by a forensic document analyst and determined to be 100% Kurt's writing. All those other expert opinions you hear about were inconclusive, because they didn't have the handwritten note to examine, only some bad photocopies.
@sqwidink1 That's true, Kurt was ambidextrous, BUT every photo and film clip I've ever seen with Cobain writing or signing an autograph shows him writing with his right hand. If Kurt had really "cured" his stomach condition like Judyleasugar thinks he did, then why was Kurt still so rail thin - 120 lbs - at the time of his death? A person can EASILY gain 5-10lbs in a single WEEK of increased calorie intake, yet Kurt is supposedly eating better, off drugs, and never puts on a single pound?
Kurt got medication for his stomach condition before 1994. The last months of his life he was not in pain. In fact in interview shortly before his death, he said he was happier than he had ever been because he could eat an entire pizza.

I believe he did it himself. He was troubled his whole life and I don't think his mind was ever perfectly stable. Plus he did drugs... Looking back, towards the end of his life, he seemed to show signs of depression. His band mates think he did it and they knew him better than we ever did. He was thinking of calling In Utero "I Hate Myself I Want To Die." Some people just can't accept the fact that someone they love or idolize would ever do such a thing. But sometimes they do.
From my experience, people who believe Kurt killed himself know little or nothing about the circumstances surround his death. Most people who believe he was murdered tend to know more about the case. Kurt was murdered and if you take the time to do the research on the case then I'm sure you will reach the same conclusion. Kurt wanted a divorce. He asked to have Courtney excluded from his will. But he dies and Courtney gets everything. It's deep & complex.

Kurt's handwritten suicide note was examined by a forensic document analyst and determined to be written by him, every word. I don't buy the conspiracy theories...
Anybody who been through bad times, knows its very possible to just end it. When you're in that place, you're just not thinking clearly and once you take that leap, there's no turning back. I've known some pretty awesome people who ended their life and its not black and white. Wow.. Anyway, hang in there people! Life is good. I feel stronger now, and am so glad to be alive. Peace.

You have no proof whatsoever that Kurt wanted to die in 1994. A song title that was meant to be satire? An unsubstantiated story from when he was a teen? Even if true, he was a completely different person the last year of his life, and there's no evidence it's true. I would like to hear something other than fantasy conjecture.
It's not a far-fetched idea to consider that he committed suicide. Abusing copious amounts of drugs, like heroin, alone would put someone so out of touch with what's going on with their life and those around them, it's not hard to imagine that he just wanted to die, for whatever reason. I've read everything there is to read on the man, and universally, he wanted to die.And one way or another, he did. The murder evidence doesn't hold enough water, at least, not enough to take to court.
I was referring to the amount of evidence in the case. The heroin level and inconsistencies with the gun place someone else in the greenhouse. You have a lack of depth.
There is no smoking gun evidence that a homicide occurred in Cobain's case, which is why it remains closed after 17 years. There are no "inconsistencies" with the gun - smudged fingerprints do not mean they were intentionally wiped, and Kurt's left hand was found locked in a cadaveric spasm around the barrel of the gun, with the butt end between his legs, the barrel laying on his chest, and the muzzle pointing up towards his chin - exactly what you'd expect to find in a suicide.
The OJ case?!?! Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman were stabbed to death and nearly decapitated - one could *hardly* argue that the scene was even REMOTELY consistent with a suicide. Beyond that, witnesses placed OJ @ the scene AND they found blood on his clothes and in his car - there's ZERO conclusive evidence that places ANYONE other than Cobain in the greenhouse that day. The Cobain and Simpson cases don't even deserve to be mentioned in the same video, let alone the same sentence.
People who parrot Tom Grant's opinions and "theories" word for word are just as stupid as the people who repeat verbatim what they've heard on the news, or read in a magazine, or read on some web site. If you think you know for sure what happened on April 5th, 1994, then you clearly aren't asking enough questions, and you're failing to truly think critically about the "evidence" on both sides of the issue.

For anyone who doubts that Kurt Cobain was ambidextrous (he played guitar with his left hand, but wrote with his right hand), watch this video of Kurt signing an autograph for a kid backstage at Reading '92. Kurt was photographed numerous times writing in his journals or signing autographs, always right handed. It's ignorance like that which you've displayed about Kurt's being ambidextrous which causes people to ASSUME something was wrong with the crime scene.
There were so many things wrong with the crime scene that were ignored by the cops, aside from the lack of fingerprints. Why was the bullet shell found the opposite side the gun port was aiming? Why was Kurt gripping a gun that would have without a doubt fallen off of him by the blast? Why was the note stabbed on the right side the way it would have been by a right handed person (Kurt was a leftie). And the heroin level . . .
Just too many unanswered questions. Reopen the case!
@profaneoneohone The police report of the 1st officer on scene makes no mention of where the spent shell casing was found. We know from the reports that the pen and note were moved from their original position by officers that were photographing the scene. It's plausible that the shell casing was moved for the same reason. Kurt's hand was frozen in a cadaveric spasm around the gun barrel, that's why it was locked in his hand when he was found. Kurt was AMBIDEXTROUS!! He wrote with his RIGHT HAND
@judyleasugar97 Duh, yes it does. Have you any idea how far LESS common identifiable prints are than unidentifiable ones?? The cops didn't dust for prints until a MONTH after they pried the weapon from Cobain's cold, dead hands, cleared it of all its remaining cartridges and transported it back to the station. Consider also that the officer/coroners likely had gloves on their hands while they were handling the weapon. The smudged prints prove nothing, that's part of why the case remains closed.
Thing is, it is questioned Jackson handled much of the physical evidence. That has not been established. The rest of your statement doesn't make sense.
My statements would make sense to you if you were able to follow along with the conversation and read the English language. The cops handled all the physical evidence at the scene - the shotgun, shells, pen and note. They didn't dust for prints until a month later, and when they did, they pulled several cards of smudged prints from the evidence. Those are facts that are verifiable from the police reports/case documents. Why couldn't the cops have smudged the prints when they handled everything?
Watch this clip of an attorney discussing the lack of fingerprint evidence in the current case against Michael Jackson's doctor. Legible prints were not found on ANY of the relevant objects that investigators know had been handled by either Michael, and/or his doctor, ranging from a saline bag for the I.V. to syringes and other items. The notion that legible prints are always easily pulled from objects is false.

@judyleasugar97 You're also pointing to the lack of prints on the syringe, pen and shells (all very small objects compared to a shotgun) as further "proof" that fingerprints were intentionally "wiped" from the scene of Cobain's death. The police reports show that the cops handled these items BEFORE prints were dusted for, as well : Did you even watch the video?? Investigators know that Jackson handled much of this physical evidence as well, and no prints.

Smudged prints are not at all uncommon - legible fingerprints are actually far less likely to be found. We know from the police reports that the cops handled the gun, shells, pen and note at the scene, which is another plausible explanation for the smudged prints. Just because they were smudged doesn't mean it was intentionally wiped.

The cops HANDLED the gun by PRYING it from Cobain's dead hands and then clearing the weapon of its remaining cartridges at the scene, and they didn't check for prints until a month later! The smudged prints prove nothing, that's part of why Grant's "evidence" is so lame and the case remains closed!!

In Jackson's case, all KINDS of items that investigators know were handled had no print evidence on them. In Kurt's case, there WERE PRINTS, but they were SMUDGED. We know from the police reports that the cops handled the weapon at the scene before they dusted for prints - that's verifiable. The smudged prints prove zero, that's part of why this case remains closed :)

Smudging can occur as a result of many different factors, it isn't an automatic sign of intentional "wiping", especially not in this case :) It's not "misinformation", it's information that you simply don't want to hear :)

Im not gonna say anybody murdered him. Im not gona get in on that debate. All i am gonna say is that, if you delete the end, from "Frances and Courtney I'll be at your altar"... and so forth, it really just seems like a retirement from music note. He had some unexplainable stomach pain, which haunted him for years. and I think the phsyical pain as well as his heroin addiction, slowly made him more and more not just sad, but despondent. As he say in the letter, he feels guilty for not being able to enjoy the life he has, the life everybody would dream of having, and I think the overdosises and his latest behavior made him think he was a faliure as a parent as well. only my opnion ofc...

Can we really push the like button on a suicide note? I'd feel strange doing that but I did read it. It's like saying yeah Kurt I totally agree with you killing yourself and as a fan approve and totally understand that ending it is the way to go. I just can't do that. Suicide is hard on those we leave behind and at times we don't understand why. It must have been unbearable his physical and mental pain. He was even wearing a short sleeve shirt in Nirvana's last concert in Germany, a month before his death. His stomach condition was thought to have been caused by a pinched nerve brought on by his scoliosis, but was never officially diagnosed, and he was known to have had issues with his stomach well before heroin became a fixture in his life.

He was obviously on drugs and yes, of course heroin will eventually fuck you and your entire life up. I have i a started shooting dope when i was 17 and didnt stop till i was 30. it's not painful for a heroin addict to eat and the only effect constant heroin use has on the stomach (in most cases) is really bad heart burn. I know this not only cause i'm an ex junkie but cause i'm also a certified addiction counselor and working at an inpatient rehab.

Why couldn't the last few lines have been "added in" by Kurt himself while he was fucked up on dope? Seems like a legitimate explanation for the apparent shift in style, especially considering the entire handwritten note was examined by a forensic document analyst and determined to be 100% Kurt's writing. All those other expert opinions you hear about were inconclusive, because they didn't have the handwritten note to examine, only some bad photocopies.

I believe he did it himself. He was troubled his whole life and I don't think his mind was ever perfectly stable. Plus he did drugs... Looking back, towards the end of his life, he seemed to show signs of depression. His band mates think he did it and they knew him better than we ever did. He was thinking of calling In Utero "I Hate Myself I Want To Die." Some people just can't accept the fact that someone they love or idolize would ever do such a thing. But sometimes they do.

From my experience, people who believe Kurt killed himself know little or nothing about the circumstances surround his death. Most people who believe he was murdered tend to know more about the case. @IvyThornRebels Rosemary Carroll, her lawyer, found an odd looking sheet of paper with the alphabet written on it, but it was never analyzed and never shown to be an attempt to copy or "practice" anyone's handwriting. Kurt's handwritten suicide note was examined by a forensic document analyst and determined to be written by him, every word. I don't buy the conspiracy theories...

Anybody who been through bad times, knows its very possible to just end it. When you're in that place, you're just not thinking clearly and once you take that leap, there's no turning back. I've known some pretty awesome people who ended their life and its not black and white. Wow.. Anyway, hang in there people! Life is good. I feel stronger now, and am so glad to be alive. Peace.

You have no proof whatsoever that Kurt wanted to die in 1994. A song title that was meant to be satire? An unsubstantiated story from when he was a teen? Even if true, he was a completely different person the last year of his life, and there's no evidence it's true. I would like to hear something other than fantasy conjecture.

It's not a far-fetched idea to consider that he committed suicide. Abusing copious amounts of drugs, like heroin, alone would put someone so out of touch with what's going on with their life and those around them, it's not hard to imagine that he just wanted to die, for whatever reason. I've read everything there is to read on the man, and universally, he wanted to die.And one way or another, he did. The murder evidence doesn't hold enough water, at least, not enough to take to court.

There is no smoking gun evidence that a homicide occurred in Cobain's case, which is why it remains closed after 17 years. There are no "inconsistencies" with the gun - smudged fingerprints do not mean they were intentionally wiped, and Kurt's left hand was found locked in a cadaveric spasm around the barrel of the gun, with the butt end between his legs, the barrel laying on his chest, and the muzzle pointing up towards his chin - exactly what you'd expect to find in a suicide.

The OJ case?!?! Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman were stabbed to death and nearly decapitated - one could *hardly* argue that the scene was even REMOTELY consistent with a suicide. Beyond that, witnesses placed OJ @ the scene AND they found blood on his clothes and in his car - there's ZERO conclusive evidence that places ANYONE other than Cobain in the greenhouse that day. The Cobain and Simpson cases don't even deserve to be mentioned in the same video, let alone the same sentence.

For anyone who doubts that Kurt Cobain was ambidextrous (he played guitar with his left hand, but wrote with his right hand), watch this video of Kurt signing an autograph for a kid backstage at Reading '92. Kurt was photographed numerous times writing in his journals or signing autographs, always right handed. It's ignorance like that which you've displayed about Kurt's being ambidextrous which causes people to ASSUME something was wrong with the crime scene.

There were so many things wrong with the crime scene that were ignored by the cops, aside from the lack of fingerprints. Why was the bullet shell found the opposite side the gun port was aiming? Why was Kurt gripping a gun that would have without a doubt fallen off of him by the blast? Why was the note stabbed on the right side the way it would have been by a right handed person (Kurt was a leftie). And the heroin level . . .
Just too many unanswered questions. Reopen the case!

@profaneoneohone The police report of the 1st officer on scene makes no mention of where the spent shell casing was found. We know from the reports that the pen and note were moved from their original position by officers that were photographing the scene. It's plausible that the shell casing was moved for the same reason. Kurt's hand was frozen in a cadaveric spasm around the gun barrel, that's why it was locked in his hand when he was found. Kurt was AMBIDEXTROUS!! He wrote with his RIGHT HAND

The cops didn't dust for prints until a MONTH after they pried the weapon from Cobain's cold, dead hands, cleared it of all its remaining cartridges and transported it back to the station. Consider also that the officer/coroners likely had gloves on their hands while they were handling the weapon. The smudged prints prove nothing, that's part of why the case remains closed.

My statements would make sense to you if you were able to follow along with the conversation and read the English language. The cops handled all the physical evidence at the scene - the shotgun, shells, pen and note. They didn't dust for prints until a month later, and when they did, they pulled several cards of smudged prints from the evidence. Those are facts that are verifiable from the police reports/case documents. Why couldn't the cops have smudged the prints when they handled everything?

Watch this clip of an attorney discussing the lack of fingerprint evidence in the current case against Michael Jackson's doctor. Legible prints were not found on ANY of the relevant objects that investigators know had been handled by either Michael, and/or his doctor, ranging from a saline bag for the I.V. to syringes and other items. The notion that legible prints are always easily pulled from objects is false.

The police reports show that the cops handled these items BEFORE prints were dusted for, as well : Did you even watch the video?? Investigators know that Jackson handled much of this physical evidence as well, and no prints.

Smudged prints are not at all uncommon - legible fingerprints are actually far less likely to be found. We know from the police reports that the cops handled the gun, shells, pen and note at the scene, which is another plausible explanation for the smudged prints. Just because they were smudged doesn't mean it was intentionally wiped.

In Jackson's case, all KINDS of items that investigators know were handled had no print evidence on them. In Kurt's case, there WERE PRINTS, but they were SMUDGED. We know from the police reports that the cops handled the weapon at the scene before they dusted for prints - that's verifiable. The smudged prints prove zero, that's part of why this case remains closed :)
