One of my all-time favorite movies, so many timeless scenes, classic soundtrack, outstanding cast, talented director, perfect writer, amazing photographers... I just can't say enough about the movie that would express in how many ways it is great. This is one of the movies you will enjoy seeing time after time, by the way, because you find out so many things in the second, third, fourth time and even later... Like the fact that this song appears earlier in the film, in the background.
Carl, like his two brothers was one of the ultimate talents in music. He was a fantastic songwriter and one of the greatest singers who have ever lived. This is one of his many triumphs!
Couldn't agree with you more! I love Carl, truly (& unjustly) underrated.......as is Denny & the Beach Boys music as a whole=( But this movie definitely rocks!
Music is the best.

Seen this film countless times and it's my second all-time favorite.
Just watched the extended cut yesterday.

@theravenbard
Wow, I didn't know there was an extended cut! I have to watch that...it's also one of my favovrite films :)
lulzwarrior 1 year ago
@lulzwarrior Oh, you definitely do. Cameron more or less disowned the theatrical cut, because the extended version is MUCH, MUCH better.

Here are my favorite scenes from the movie:
1) the airplane scene
2) the scene when everyone sings Tiny Dancer in the bus
3) the scene when William's sister bends over and says to him: "one day you will be cool"
4) the scene when William watches the doctors take out the pills out of Penny
5) the scene when Russel says: "I'm a golden god" and jumps to the pool
6) the scene when William tells Penny that she was sold for 50 dollars and a beer
Such a great movie...

Not sure if its true or not but I heard its about losing Brian Wilson to Cocaine; when he got pretty fried out.
HeidiHoStenquist 3 years ago 2
Cocaine didn't ruin Brian... acid did. (Well, "ruin" is kind of a strong word, since he's back on track now.)
