  • Oh HI!

  • I always cook the meat when I make it. After its cooked I add: diced onions, minced garlic, shredded carrots, soy sauce, & raisins. The raisins give it a sweeter taste.

    Thanks for posting this

  • @lotusburger Minlo wrappers which I got from my local asian supermarket, its more likely to be at the large market than the small ones

  • i thought lumpia originates from Indonesia? I mean the word "lumpia" is actually indonesian :)

  • How many grams of ground pork did you use? :D

  • No I was born here but my brother was born on the base in the PI. Ask him if he knew the Bucarile's most likely no but still ask him.

  • Lumpia originally came from the Chinese dialect Hokkien where it means "spring roll." The recipe was brought by Chinese immigrants to Southeast Asia. ;)

  • "and over here my coke" lmao so funnayy

  • I love lumpia! It's the best chinese food I've ever had! :D

  • my meme just tried a new way she makes it with spam its reallly good actually LUMPIA FTW!!!!!!!!

  • I guess every pinoy makes their own kind of lumpia, like adobo. Although, what ever happen to the circular lumpia wrappers? I know its a bitch trying to seperate them but its so thin and crunchy.

  • i love your video, i love lumpia.

  • Most people in the Filipines eat with their hands anyway....why not just mix it with your hands. also, adobo is great . try it if you don't believe me.

  • yeah it's way better if you mix it together with your hands

  • sweet thanks man! ill get right to it :)

  • Dinuguan and Lumpia with vinegar to the side is the best party food

  • Das pucked up.Lol, the way I learned how to make thirty three years ago when I was in the Navy, my buddies wife made it ground beef, carrots, celery, and oinions.

White pepper and glued with egg whites.

The best!! Add some cold beers and a football game and you're done.

  • I LOVE LUMPIA!... just had some for dinner which led me to this video :P

  • is cilantro and "kinchay" the same?

  • This reminds me of something that I get at a local Chinese restaurant called a Vietnamese Roll. I'm not sure what meat they use, but I think it has the carrot in it and the wrapper is thinner. Are you familiar with those?

  • @moonpie31211 I am vietnamese. We have a few variations, but it is very similar to the ones here. We like to also add mung bean noodles and mushrooms to our springrolls. Everything else is the same. Sometimes we would use fish sauce instead of soy sauce, and even oyster sauce. We like to to mix ground pork with a mixture of crab or shrimp. It taste even better that way.

  • this looks great!

    are there measurements to food?

    i really wanna make this!

  • This looks pretty awesome.

    Are there vegetarian lumpias?

  • yup there is, but i think it is called spring rolls, im pretty sure you had them in any chinese restaurants.

  • My X-wife precooked the pork, also used bean sprouts and we used egg at the end to seal the wrap. I got in trouble because I liked to eat out of the mixing bowl, good stuff.

  • @RyanTheMedStudent I'm making some veggie ones now. I made banana lumpia on tuesday by just cutting banana lengthwise and coating it with sugar , cinnamon, and cocconut.

  • Did he say he will use the onion in his eye

  • @RyanTheMedStudent i guess what you use for the pork is tofu or something im not a vegetarian but i would like to help you with your dilemma

  • You don't cook the meat first? Does it fully cook when your frying the lumpia??

  • it will be cooked well when you fry it. i heard some prefer to cook the meat first but i never tried it before.

  • @MISTALARES i prefer cooking the meat half cook prior to me adding it to wrapper rather having meat uncooked. . In my opinion, better safe than sorry....

  • hhahaha nice, he's like if no one's watching, use your hand.

  • Lol! at 3:05! ☺

  • I wanted to make lumpia one day but we had no carrot. It so happens that my mum was on the phone to her sister in the Philippines, my auntie.. She said to use potato instead.

  • my daughter can't stop tasting. here's my recipe. boiled chicken breast diced, chopped shrimps, tofu, green beans, carrots, sweet potato, salt and pepper. Dip with sweet vinegar with grd pepper and chili sauce.

  • very entertaining...good job

  • my coke..lol

  • I just made a hundred of these Thursday night. I've never seen that form of lumpia wrapper. I always use the old school round ones that are super thin. Way thinner than the ones you're using. I'm making another 100 this week since I had so much left over meat. Maybe I'll make a vid. Woo hoo! I have a neat little trick.

  • Lol..i like ol school too..my mom can make homemade ones and lots of them too....seems no one has a video bout making ol school wrappers yet!

    very very very good

    kaka e ba

  • You can use lean ground turkey instead of pork (can't tell the difference except it is low fat/cholestral). Cook in canola oil to keep it healthy. Seal wrapper end by moistening with egg white to keep it in place. Yum!!

  • Fuck, I'm hungry now.

  • "when nobody is looking at you, just use your hands" lmao...i knew he was going to say that

  • I've never made lumpia like this but now I'm going to try it.

  • I spent 30 wonderful days in Subic Bay 26 years ago and have been trying to get a REAL lumpia ever since. I just tried out your cooking video and it was perfect! It was just like stepping back into Olongapo (spelling) and eating my favorite food. I'll be watching for more of your cooking Vids! Thank you!

  • here in US we put our sandok in d cabinet drawer...it's normal...hindi ito pinas na maraming ipis and insekto ang kusina...so don't worry
