I have a 2008 Pontiac G6. I have the base model with the V6 and leather seats. It has been a good vehicle. Plenty of power with the 3.5 litre V6, and it handles good too. I get a combined city/highway mileage of about 28 MPG, and I get 34 MPG if straight highway. I have 70,000 miles on mine, and no problems. It works great in the snow since this is the first car I have had with traction control. It is my first GM product, will definitely look at another GM car in the future.
Yeah I have a 05' g6 and it has SOOO many problems! It now needs to be alined, the stereo doesn't work, cracked windshield( isn't a 'factory' default) and worst of all it's security system totally blows. It doesn't let the car start sometimes and the alarm goes off everytime you open it (thank god the horn doesn't work). I traded it for a suburban(with 240,000 miles) so I thought i would get the better deal. Just got a Mazda and I love it already.
I would never drive a American car because the quality is nothing compared to Korean nor Japanese engineering. Heck! American car quality is horrible.
Geez seems like almost every1 who owns a G6 has had problems with it...Sorry for ur luck guys, I have an '08 G6 i bought with 15000 mi. now currently has 65000 mi. and is still running like a champ. I love this car.
Wow, absolutely disgusting design. It's looks nearly as bad as a Mazda! And as for that "stunning" mileage, I can remember a 4-year old Skoda Octavia surpassed that mileage, with a more efficient diesel engine. It is not a small car either - basically the same size as the pontiac g6, and as it's a diesel, that means more torque. I mean no doubt the mileage exceeds that of many american gas-guzzlers, but if you want fuel economy, European cars are the way to go.
Is this model a front wheel drive or rear wheel drive could tell under that massive joke of a engine cover i would loose that like a bad habit if I got one but only intereested in rear wheel drive .
I also read online somewhere that a lady is trying to start a class action law suit for the power steering. Because GM doesn't know what is causing the problem and they are just throwing parts at the car to try and fix it. I guess this lady was driving down the street and her power steering when out without her know it. She ended up crashing into landscaping...but what if it was a house, or a play ground?
Well, mrqrouchyguy, the attorney didn't cost me anything. If they didn't win it wouldn't have cost me anything either. Their phone number is....317-627-9187. They are the Curry Law Firm, so call them to see if they can do anything for you. Not sure if they can but it doesn't hurt to talk to them. Tell them about the power steering also, you might be able to get that money back. GM should have fixed that at no charge to you, that is their design flaw.
The only G6 I liked was an older 4-cylinder one, about 4 years ago. It had a sporty, flat ride, and seats that gripped me. But the newer, more powerful V6 version I drive last year had a softer, floaty ride, and wider seats. I guess GM got a lot of complaints from old people or housewives who wanted a softer ride. Ugh. It also felt front-heavy and had a lot of torque steer. No thank you.
Just to let some of you know, I am not someone that doesn't know anything about cars. I am in the process of designing and building my own truck, and exotic car. Plus I built my Camaro myself. Sure, I don't know everything there is to know about cars but when I can build a better automatic transmission for my Camaro than a so called certified tech there is something wrong there. Like I said, I don't know it all but I'm also not some 16 year old girl that just got her drivers license. lol
Oh, and the dome light sometimes doesn't work, the driver side rear tail/brake lights sometimes doesn't work. When they go out I have to tap on the tail lights and then they start working. But the dealership says nothing is wrong with it. lol Oh, and someone said something about a knocking sound in their G6 right when they push on the gas pedal...its the A/C pulley. That's what had to be replaced on my car.
I will never buy another GM product again. The 2009 G6 I have is junk. I have had to replace the key fobs 5 times, the front hubcaps wont stay tight, transmission control module needed replaced, the belt tensioner had to be replaced, a door lock actuator had to be replaced, the A/C pulley had to be replaced, the rear speaker replaced, and the transmission shift cable replaced, this was all from mile 2000 to mile 35000. That's why I sued and won the case also. Sure it was all under warranty.
that piece of crap is soooo cheap as shit, i can buy one under 10K ,40,000 miles for used, and its cheaper than a japnese car. its not a same level with HONDA AND NISSAN
@batistaker123 this isnt the g6 they talk about in the song they talk about a plane called a g6 because that doesnt make sense fly like a car? or fly like a plane?
I just recently got a G6 GT, and I believe I'll just be switching back to my old Buick. There's many cons about this car.
1. The ride is horribly horribly uncomfortable. You LITERALLY feel every bump and crack.
2. City gas mileage is wretched, and even highway isn't impressive. My '01 Regal does better in both categories AND is at least 10 dollars cheaper to fill up, yet goes further, and is a bigger car than the G6.
3, The V6 is adequate, but I wouldn't recommend spending the extra $ on it.
This car is a deathtrap. My wife and I bought this car because it seemed really nice and everything apeared to be ok. Turned out that the steering system is trash and GM went back to the regular pully driven system in later years. Also the sunroof leaks and the brake system will eventually kill you. They get arround warranty issues by saying nothings wrong. You will be buying new rotors annually because if you turn them they only last weeks and become worse. pollished turd.
On highway it's great on gas. With mine I often make around 730 kilometers on a single tank. So something like 45 mpg, I have the 2,4 liters 4 cylinders obviously.. That is pretty good for a car that size. It's true though that the wind noise with rear windows down is annoying.
@Jadavontae Thats the modern GTO and the G8, not every pontiac is based from down under. You know, i have no problem that the goat and g8 are based on their aussie brothers but it fuckin annoys the shit out of me when guys like you keep mentioning it!!
Pontiac is american bro, if it wasnt for GM Holden wouldnt exist so Holden in a way is American.
I started with a Ford Fiesta 1986 Sport for my first car. I live in France and the Pontiac G6 is not on sale in Europe. ( We have Opel brand from GM, Corsa, Astra, Insigna etc... ). I rented a Pontiac G6 when i was in Miami. I don't know if it is a good idea to change the performance of the engine. I prefer a model from the manufacturer.
I drove my friends step dads once..it was the first time i drove a stick shift...and I spun the tires like crazy starting off XD did fine after though..
And yeah you're probably right
I'll keep it how it is for now...224hp is good enough for me
You'll have soon in America the Ford Fiesta ( 2008 ) available. But probably automatic gear box. It was the first time for me to drive an automatic this summer with the G6 ! lol ! The first yards i have to be careful not push on the brakes to change speed mode ! lol ! In France i drive a Seat Leon 2 ( 2008 )
If you dial on you tube " fifth gear seat leon" you'll have a presentation in English of the car i'll own today. I have the same model and same color. Enjoy.
I drove the '06 & '07 versions ... than i moved to EU and tried to find a way to get one shipped from US ('08) but no luck :( thats my favorite vehicle i drove some higher end EU sedans (BMW and Mercedes) but this one here is somehow better - i think it has to do with the overall comfort and stability. with the current conversion rate U$D => Euro it would be wise for GM to start selling these in EU - I'm sure they will sell well - i know i'll be the first on the line to get one :)
I work for a rental car company and the G6 has been one of the most reliable cars we have had.On a trip to Ohio i got 34.9 MPG on the highway with the V6 in 2006.The car we have had the most trouble out of is the 2.5 Nissan Altima.A few years ago we had to replaced the engines in 20 or more cars. And these were brand new cars straight off the truck into the shop.
It's a common occurrence once you accelerate and let completely off the throttle. Some gauges will display up to 200mpg, momentarily. This is one of the tricks to getting better fuel economy ... inertia is your friend ... :)
just bought an 09, its the V6, but if you are thinking the g6 is some great sports car....its not. The car has great options for the price. so far i have liked it. but like i said its not amazingly fast, but it does hold its own.
I've owned a G6 since 2005. She has almost 98.000 k. I haven't had a single "major" problem with it. She rides like a tank, and gets terrible gas milage....But that's about it.
my freinds has a v6 and is pretty damn quick but still has the cheap ass interior that falls apart witch is typical for pontiac and it doesent handle too well when ur getting on the gas alot and my grand am has the same problem but its pretty nice
Thanks a lot guys, this was a really solid review. I am looking at a new G6, and test drove one last night. Just looking at more info on it today. Thanks again.
this car sucks....economy car interior look at feel....exterior nothing to write home about...i see these cars everywhere..and cant think of a single reason not to buy something else besides this GM half ass'd car...why does GM half ass all there cars?...
ill give u that...but they consistently put out cars that are unfinished....leaving japanese companys to sweep up there profits time and time again..and it finally caught up.
You keep saying that to yourself if it helps you sleep at night. I can tell that you're probably a very jealous person. There are a lot of "challenged" people like you in the world, which explains why you all buy plastic sardine can cars.
GM is bankrupt because it is still built for times of the past. As they offload the companies that compliment, but ultimately burden the company they will once again gain ground and eventually take the solid lead.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Both Japanese and American auto companies have their "cheap" cars and they have their expensive cars. Anybody who can afford a Civic can afford a Cobalt. And Japanese cars are more reliable than American cars.
@Saraswati23 japanese cars(generally speaking) are consistently superior on a dollar for dollar basis to both German and American cars.
"Most of the time, people who promote Japanese cars are the ones who cannot afford solid American cars."
Unless you're talking about someone in the Honda Civic budget range not being able to afford a Caddy or something,I doubt it's ever true. If people have substantial budgets the last car they want is American. Hyundai is building better cars than US.
@Saraswati23 or prefer cars that are much better value, get much better mileage, and are just better in every way you actually need, as oppose to looks and speed... and having a big fat ugly car... like americans. ex: hummers, suv's, pickup trucks.... only americans. why?
@Saraswati23 whatever its american ppl buying japanese cars and trying to get into tuner culture mostly whites and are the biggest hypocrites in the world, Dont be mad cause japanese ingenuity is by far more efficient..loser
@Saraswati23 Actually your wrong. Germans created cars, Americans mass produced them, and the Japanese perfected them. I'm American and I can honestly say that I would rather have a Japanese car over an American any day. The interiors of American cars are quite plain and cheap and the ones that might be worth buying are usually are gas guzzlers and are only good at going fast in a straight line. The reason you promote the average American cars is because YOU cannot afford a high class Jap car.
@Saraswati23 Japan makes lots of expensive cars that are known worldwide for their extreme performance, like Mitsubishi's Evo. Japan makes lots of high-cost, high-end luxury cars, like Lexus. Japanese cars and car parts are more expensive, due to tariffs. Despite this, many Japanese cars are made in America, such as the many Toyotas that are built across the South. Japanese cars had better service records for quite a while, and American brands only caught up in quality recently. Racist.
@Saraswati23 You're open to say what you want about Jap. cars. Because you're right they are junk. If you look at the interiors of Honda's they are hardly any different than the current American quality. My friend owns a 04 Accord and I have seen the interior of that thing. It looks like crap! Plus he's had problems with it. So it is cheap!
Fuck all those haters going after you! This is YouTube, freedom of speech.
hey gm makes good cars but i gotta say im not impressed with pontiac there cars are all half assed my freinds g6 is and so is my ggrand am but my old 94 chevy 1500 with 260k miles still runs like a charm and the interior hasent fallen apart but usually ford makes the better interior dodge is ok
I rented a 2009 Pontiac G6 while my Pontiac Grand Prix 3.8 litre was in the body shop. I would not recommend the G6 to my worst enemy. It had the four cylinder 2.4 litre and the gas mileage was horrendous. Also the guages were to small to read. the only thing I liked were the outside door handles and the tilted headrests. My Grand Prix (2006) is a far superior car. Look for a used one up to 2008 with low miles and you will not be disappointed.
I made several trips to 2 dealerships. The only problem that was somewhat "fixed" was the heat shield, but the dealership sheared a hanger bolt and drilled a self tapping screw into the underbody in its place. Now, I get occasional heat shield vibrations and will probably have a rust problem. So far, all other problems have been considered "normal" by GM dealerships. I have been working with GM customer support (of little help) and am considering the lemon law...
After buying a 2008 G6 GT (with the 3.5 L V6) I would not recommend this car. This is my 5th GM, 4th Pontiac. Seems the designers wanted to build a nice car, but fell short. By 18k miles the car: -Front suspension clunks -Steering clunks -Vibrates at highway speed -Idles rough -Heater smells of coolant (core leak?) -Transmission sometimes fails to shift (rare) -Tire pressure monitor cannot be set manually -Heat shields resonate -Brake pedal binds slightly -Steering column makes rubbing sound
I love the comments I get from other drivers. Bought some pimpin 18" wheels & magna flow exhaust, tinted out the windows. But the knock when it's cold outside from the front end, & after shutting it off for 5min. in the winter then restarting it causes my winshield to fog with an antifreeze like smog inside is almost too much. I love my car. But. I think I see a G8 in my future somewhere instead. That will be a nice step up. Hopefully no knocks & fogging. lol
maybe you know this already but those are signs of a bad heater core. if under warranty no worries but no warranty that is a 750 - 1000 dollar worry depending on where you go to.
Ya, I spent 14 yrs in auto. So when I went to the dealership they told me that was normal. Can you beleive that. How dumb do they think I am. So they take it for the day. Again, when I come to pick it up they find nothing. ALL DEALERS are CROOKS. I bought the extended war. Now they get to charge me $100 everytime I have a complaint. But I still love the roomyness & mpg & get complements all the time which makes it harder to want to get rid of. Pont. did a great job with the exterier styling.
Yeah you would think they would set rules for dealers, its a legal scam to pray on innocent ppl you should ask them if they are catholics cause if they are like i know some here that work in that field, you should ask them how can you live knowing that your screwing with ppl! money is root of all evil,
i thought about the g8, but a little out of my range and know its from australia, and built to have fun with like they do with it down there :) then i was thinking of the g6 and then came i seen the mazda 6 wow that car is really fun to drive and takes bumps good so i might consider the mazda, if you haven't test drove one yet i recommed it just to try it!
Funny how it's never mentioned, how you can't drive down the road with the rear windows down due to very severe wind noise that is VERY hard on your ears. Or that the fact that these cars come with a knock in the front end that the dealers are never able to find & correct. Or that the fact that the front wind sheild fogs up on you from the inside, that the dealers try to pass off as normal. THIS CAR IS A PIEACE OF SHIT & WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER ONE. I like GM, but am so very tired of their CRAP.
Sorry to hear about the problems. Our review car didn't exhibit the knock or fogging in our week long test. We've run into fogging on a number of cars; turning on the A/C with the defroster usually clears things up. The wind noise is a common problem among many modern cars and it drives us crazy ... blame it on aerodynamics?
@cmorhair Ya kinda like the brake grabbing i get in the mornings reversing out of my stall. Some day's it sounds like metal on metal, but i had to replace the brakes out, front and rear at 85000 km which also btw was "normal".
Hey do you know what GM stands for??
Got mechanic coming.
Guess i'll just have to go with a ford next time... damit.
@mrgrouchyguy I just got rid of a 2009 versa that fogged the windows all the time too. When you but the defog on, the AC would turn on also even with the heat on. The nissan versa is a great car, but my driving is moderately light footed, never passed 3000RPM's and 80% highway got me 25mpg. I have a 2008 G6 with the 3500 V6 and average 32mpg with the same driving..
@keoki1978 i can smell the coolant, but just till i crank the heat up for a few moments then it disapears & no more coolant smell. I drive with a moderatly heavy foot. what i noticed on holiday's average hwy speed was 130 - 135km/h, & i was getting 31 - 32mpg. Drop down to 110km for a tank and only got 28 - 29mpg. But i'm running with a Magnaflow exhaust. For a car with decent looks it had no sound to it, way to quite, so that was swapted out a couple day's after buying the car.
@mrgrouchyguy Hey mrgrouchyguy....I just got done suing GM. I didn't get much but I won. Not sure where you live but I am in Indiana. I bought my 2009 Pontiac G6 new and from mile 2000 to 35000 it was in the shop 8 different times. Plus I have had the key fobs replaced 5 times so far. I agree this car is one big pile of cow dung. If you want my attorney's number just let me know. I mean now the front hubcaps wont even stay tight. lol
@camarodan32 That's freakin' awsome, score one for the little guy. As most people know GM has a recall on the power assist but only on the G5, & Cobalt. A couple of months later i recieved a letter from GM saying the G6 is now included in the recall, and i gotta tell you my power stearing was shot. kicking in and out while i was driving. Start it first thing in the morning i could be waiting as long as 10 min before i could move. Then i would hear a "click" behind the dash on the left side.
@mrgrouchyguy then would have power steering again. SO back to GM they phone me later that day to say that diden't fix the problem, but for $120/hr we can locate it. Turned out to be a moudulator/sensor for the power assist. $853 out the door to fix it. Plus the $98 diagnostic fee. I dident have much choice snow was soon to fly not something i was willing to deal with in the winter. That's quite the scam GM got goin on. Can't afford the lawyer now in these times.
awesome review, and wow that 6 speed really bumps up the mpg of that 2.4. My 4 speed auto rarely sees those numbers...looks like they detuned it a bit because my 07' came with 169 hp. And wow that is loaded for a 2.4. mine doesnt have the 6 speed, ipod connectivity, traction control, 6 disc changer, leather wheel, or sun roof. what was the sticker price?
okay i don't feel so bad now i paid 18,800 for mine brand new in 07, never seen a 2.4 with that leather wheel and traction control...must all be a part of that new sport package.
I have a 09 G6 GT. Fuckin LOVE it too.

You will be buying new rotors annually because if you turn them they only last weeks and become worse. pollished turd.
thespoada 1 year ago
On highway it's great on gas. With mine I often make around 730 kilometers on a single tank. So something like 45 mpg, I have the 2,4 liters 4 cylinders obviously.. That is pretty good for a car that size. It's true though that the wind noise with rear windows down is annoying.

Pontiac isnt exactly american, it's the american version of an austrailian car called Holden. the only difference is the name.

You bigin with a nice vehicle for a first car. I started with a 10 years old car for my first car !
Hope you'll enjoy with your G6 !
legorret1 2 years ago
Oh I do enjoy it XD
My technical first car was an 85 toyota corolla
but it has no air bag & shakes A LOT once it gets up to 60, and it takes 30 seconds to get there anyways lolz
so i was like No. Dangerous,s low car
So i ended up with my super amazing g6
which i would like to find a performance exhaust for...any ideas where i could get one?
tpmeadows 2 years ago
I started with a Ford Fiesta 1986 Sport for my first car. I live in France and the Pontiac G6 is not on sale in Europe. ( We have Opel brand from GM, Corsa, Astra, Insigna etc... ). I rented a Pontiac G6 when i was in Miami. I don't know if it is a good idea to change the performance of the engine. I prefer a model from the manufacturer.
legorret1 2 years ago
Ah a Ford Fiesta...
Fun little cars :)
I drove my friends step dads once..it was the first time i drove a stick shift...and I spun the tires like crazy starting off XD did fine after though..
And yeah you're probably right
I'll keep it how it is for now...224hp is good enough for me
tpmeadows 2 years ago
You'll have soon in America the Ford Fiesta ( 2008 ) available. But probably automatic gear box. It was the first time for me to drive an automatic this summer with the G6 ! lol ! The first yards i have to be careful not push on the brakes to change speed mode ! lol ! In France i drive a Seat Leon 2 ( 2008 )
legorret1 2 years ago

She rides like a tank, and gets terrible gas milage....But that's about it.

coandcaiv 2 years ago
Japanese "junk" cars sweep up the profits because they are cheaper. They're also not great for someone who stands 6' tall.
Most of the time, people who promote Japanese cars are the ones who cannot afford solid American cars.

GM is bankrupt because it is still built for times of the past. As they offload the companies that compliment, but ultimately burden the company they will once again gain ground and eventually take the solid lead.

Both Japanese and American auto companies have their "cheap" cars and they have their expensive cars. Anybody who can afford a Civic can afford a Cobalt. And Japanese cars are more reliable than American cars.
KevanMayne 2 years ago
@Saraswati23 japanese cars(generally speaking) are consistently superior on a dollar for dollar basis to both German and American cars.
"Most of the time, people who promote Japanese cars are the ones who cannot afford solid American cars."
Unless you're talking about someone in the Honda Civic budget range not being able to afford a Caddy or something,I doubt it's ever true. If people have substantial budgets the last car they want is American. Hyundai is building better cars than US.
musicalala 1 year ago
@Saraswati23 or prefer cars that are much better value, get much better mileage, and are just better in every way you actually need, as oppose to looks and speed... and having a big fat ugly car... like americans. ex: hummers, suv's, pickup trucks.... only americans. why?
and im american.

zerordie95 6 months ago
@Saraswati23 Actually your wrong. Germans created cars, Americans mass produced them, and the Japanese perfected them. I'm American and I can honestly say that I would rather have a Japanese car over an American any day. The interiors of American cars are quite plain and cheap and the ones that might be worth buying are usually are gas guzzlers and are only good at going fast in a straight line. The reason you promote the average American cars is because YOU cannot afford a high class Jap car.
HDMFly 5 months ago
@Saraswati23 Japan makes lots of expensive cars that are known worldwide for their extreme performance, like Mitsubishi's Evo. Japan makes lots of high-cost, high-end luxury cars, like Lexus. Japanese cars and car parts are more expensive, due to tariffs. Despite this, many Japanese cars are made in America, such as the many Toyotas that are built across the South. Japanese cars had better service records for quite a while, and American brands only caught up in quality recently. Racist.
7j8i9m 4 months ago
@Saraswati23 You're open to say what you want about Jap. cars. Because you're right they are junk. If you look at the interiors of Honda's they are hardly any different than the current American quality. My friend owns a 04 Accord and I have seen the interior of that thing. It looks like crap! Plus he's had problems with it. So it is cheap!
Fuck all those haters going after you! This is YouTube, freedom of speech.

Sadly, this is my last GM.

Hopefully no knocks & fogging. lol
mrgrouchyguy 2 years ago
maybe you know this already but those are signs of a bad heater core. if under warranty no worries but no warranty that is a 750 - 1000 dollar worry depending on where you go to.
tmaq97 2 years ago
Ya, I spent 14 yrs in auto. So when I went to the dealership they told me that was normal. Can you beleive that. How dumb do they think I am. So they take it for the day. Again, when I come to pick it up they find nothing. ALL DEALERS are CROOKS. I bought the extended war. Now they get to charge me $100 everytime I have a complaint. But I still love the roomyness & mpg & get complements all the time which makes it harder to want to get rid of. Pont. did a great job with the exterier styling.
mrgrouchyguy 2 years ago

I just love the styling of the G6 and the G5 to. Go Pontiac!
darkman699 2 years ago
Funny how it's never mentioned, how you can't drive down the road with the rear windows down due to very severe wind noise that is VERY hard on your ears. Or that the fact that these cars come with a knock in the front end that the dealers are never able to find & correct. Or that the fact that the front wind sheild fogs up on you from the inside, that the dealers try to pass off as normal. THIS CAR IS A PIEACE OF SHIT & WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER ONE. I like GM, but am so very tired of their CRAP.
mrgrouchyguy 2 years ago
Sorry to hear about the problems. Our review car didn't exhibit the knock or fogging in our week long test. We've run into fogging on a number of cars; turning on the A/C with the defroster usually clears things up. The wind noise is a common problem among many modern cars and it drives us crazy ... blame it on aerodynamics?

@cmorhair Ya kinda like the brake grabbing i get in the mornings reversing out of my stall. Some day's it sounds like metal on metal, but i had to replace the brakes out, front and rear at 85000 km which also btw was "normal".

I have a 2008 G6 with the 3500 V6 and average 32mpg with the same driving..
keoki1978 1 year ago
@keoki1978 i can smell the coolant, but just till i crank the heat up for a few moments then it disapears & no more coolant smell. I drive with a moderatly heavy foot. what i noticed on holiday's average hwy speed was 130 - 135km/h, & i was getting 31 - 32mpg. Drop down to 110km for a tank and only got 28 - 29mpg. But i'm running with a Magnaflow exhaust. For a car with decent looks it had no sound to it, way to quite, so that was swapted out a couple day's after buying the car.
mrgrouchyguy 1 year ago
@mrgrouchyguy Hey mrgrouchyguy....I just got done suing GM. I didn't get much but I won. Not sure where you live but I am in Indiana. I bought my 2009 Pontiac G6 new and from mile 2000 to 35000 it was in the shop 8 different times. Plus I have had the key fobs replaced 5 times so far. I agree this car is one big pile of cow dung. If you want my attorney's number just let me know. I mean now the front hubcaps wont even stay tight. lol
camarodan32 1 year ago
@camarodan32 That's freakin' awsome, score one for the little guy. As most people know GM has a recall on the power assist but only on the G5, & Cobalt. A couple of months later i recieved a letter from GM saying the G6 is now included in the recall, and i gotta tell you my power stearing was shot. kicking in and out while i was driving. Start it first thing in the morning i could be waiting as long as 10 min before i could move. Then i would hear a "click" behind the dash on the left side.
mrgrouchyguy 1 year ago
@mrgrouchyguy then would have power steering again. SO back to GM they phone me later that day to say that diden't fix the problem, but for $120/hr we can locate it. Turned out to be a moudulator/sensor for the power assist. $853 out the door to fix it. Plus the $98 diagnostic fee. I dident have much choice snow was soon to fly not something i was willing to deal with in the winter. That's quite the scam GM got goin on. Can't afford the lawyer now in these times.
