  • AWWWWWW

  • Well, most cats do it when they want something they can't get to. My cat, however, would start crying and look at me as if she wanted me to get it for her.

  • Cats "clatter" at things they can not get to but want.

Its cute, but can be annoying when they start to get older...as the clattering gets much louder with a hint of "screeching" meows.

  • It's a biting/snapping reflex. Similar to the shaking motion they do before they swallow something.

  • my cat makes that funny noise with a laser pinter too! it happens a few minutes after he plays with the laser

  • cats normally do that its when their in deep concentration and hunting something mine does it when he hunts flies etc. so it perfectly normal

  • What did you do to your kitty, all it can do is SQUEEK, its meow box is broken.

  • "**WHEREZ IZ GOEZ O_o**"

  • my old cat did that all the time whenever we'd put the laser on the ceiling. we thought it was hilarious!!

  • mine kind of does that

  • My cat used to make that sound whenever there was a moth or some kind of bug flying around.

    I found this explanation:

Chirps and chatters can sometimes be heard when a cat looks at potential prey without being able to reach it. Many owners of inside-only cats hear this sounds while their kitty is bird watching. The sounds are often accompanied by rapid clicking of the teeth.

  • I love you Spree!!!
