I've been in this same fix, man. Public drunkenness, what a poor fucking excuse for a crime. Honestly, when there's already a "disorderly conduct" charge, there should be no reason for a law against public drunkenness. This happened, what, 40 years ago? And, it just happened to me last spring. Fuck pigs.

Okay, Johnny was high as a kite on drugs that night. He went wandering through town and stopped at the home of an old woman who was absolutely paranoid about everyone. When she saw some stranger in her yard picking flowers, she panicked and called the cops. The arresting officer was a man that I always heard referred to as "Old Man McClellan." Johnny really did kick and scream all night. He kept yelling, "I'm Johnny Cash! You can't do this to me!" Really, he just went to the wrong house.
