The invaders had in their ranks former Batista's soldiers,Castro used this as a propaganda in his favor to undulge in cuban minds the wrong idea that the whole entire invasion was made up of Batista's soldiers which their intention was to bring the old system back,Castro has informants inside the invading brigade which provided him with vital information as to where,how and how many the invader's where.Castro used this invasiona as an excuse to repress cubans wore than before.
