@maximum411 they did almost in the 70's there were only 7 left in the entire world now there are over 300 in captivity and the 50 that have been reintroduced to the gila

I just saw three of them at the Arizona Zoo. They are some of the most amazing animals. Seeing eye-to-eye nearly put me in tears. Oh, majestic beauty, stay alive! I cannot live without you, my savior. Without you, vermin-hunters will get their way. Humanity is a disease. And you are the cure, oh Nirvana.
