  • I think this dude on the radio is playing with some words also.

  • Maybe its a good time to blow the dust of of our own Bibles and try and figure some of it out for ourselves. The Deceiver is tricky, and if we fall for it, it's not Rick Warren/Warren Smiths fault. It's our own..

  • Of course, listening to crazy denouncing reports and watching YouTube videos about what deceived men thinks is deception just adds to the miasma of deception all around us. Rick Warren serves Jesus Christ. Get on board, people. This series has its roots in ENVY!

  • @Floatingaxe you are lost my friend if you believe that

  • Part 4 is missing

  • "for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy" Rev 19:10

How can prophecy not be important?

  • "It was good enough for the Druids

It was good enough for the Druids

It was good enough for the Druids

    It's good enough for me!"

  • @Ebo9508 huh?

  • Not only rick warren but the guy reponsible for the band in his church wrote a book call worship, talk about how to worship, and in that book he say that he pay outside non-believer to play on the band.

  • warren is not using the word "purpose" in the usual sense. in his, and hubbard's, teachings it's another word for "destiny" or "will" as defined by crowley. look up crowley's definition of the word

  • Thank you for informing us of the danger of such teaching. I had been encouraged years ago to read one of his books. I read about a chapter and a half and had so many objections that I never finished it. I wish I had ,so I could have warned others as you are doing. Thanks again for your obediance.

  • where is part 2 of this 4 part series. i can'tfind it. no point in following a series out of order

  • @Strefanasha It's present

  • Personally, I wouldn't trust any person who is popular. Satan tends to use them to deceive the masses. What is highly esteemed among men is detestable to God (I'm paraphrasing... it says it somewhere in the Bible).

Instead of reading the feel good Purpose Driven Life, just read straight from the Bible especially the Gospels.

  • @vizion24 right on about reading the bible. I add to that: people ask God for wisdom to fully understand and absorb the word. Good Job

  • @vizion24

the word of God is truly quick and power, sharper than any two-edged sword.... now i understand this scripture....

  • Woe onto you, for many false teachers have entered into the world, Red flag started when Saul of Tarsus was placed higher then Christ by the churches of the world. His easy message of grace was placed higher then the Heavenly Fathers commandments and mankind's obediences to the law. Learn from the Christ own words in Matthew and John for in this the strait and narrow path that will lead you back to the Heavenly Father learn from his hand selected apostles Matthew 10:2-4.

  • I knew something was wrong when I read Rick's book. Now after seeing this and other videos on YouTube regarding Rick being a true Christian, my gut feeling were right. (My church did the "Purpose Driven Church" and many of my Christian friends really like Rick Warren's books. I pray they open their eyes! I also noticed that the tagline on the book says, "What on earth am I here for?" Read the Bible and you'll know. Why did Rick have to right a book on what the Bible has already outlined for us?

  • @77coconutprincess please tell your friends that like his books that he does NOT teach from the holy bible, but from a book called THE MESSAGE, written by a guy who wanted to rewrite the bible in his own words to satisfy his students. complete apostasy. i praise god that his holy spirit revealed that rick warren is not of god to you. that's why he is SO dangerous - his words are filled with new age teachings that are pleasing to peoples' ears.

  • christianity is the most Pan-teistic religion on the planet.what are these guys talking about??? i dont get this series....im outta here.

  • @WORLDWIDE187HUT THEY THAT HAVE EARS TO HEAR, WILL HEAR. THE PREACHING OF THE CROSS IS FOOLISHNESS TO THEM THAT ARE PERISHING. PLEASE DON'T HARDEN YOUR HEART.

  • By the way, did Jesus have a "seminary degree?" How about Moses? Jeremiah? Paul? Luke?

Did they lack credibility because all of these prophets lacked a "seminary degree?" What an inane thing to say.

  • Warren Smith has a Bachelors and a Social Worker's degree. He is not a theologian, and does not possess any notable seminary education.

His book Deceived On Purpose (published by a tiny 6-author publisher) is the most out-of-context, far-reaching, pile of total horse manure that I have ever wasted my time in reading. Someone capitalizing on someone else's success with a few bucks in book sales. Oh brother. Go back to social work, Warren. Or were you equally bad at that as well?

  • Can you cite one example of one thing Smith said that is untrue? So far all you have done is cast ad hominem attackes on him.

  • @777GJ You need to check your fallacy definitions. Because ad hominem is not defined in the context of the way that you are trying to use it. It's no wonder why you cannot see the problems with Warren Smiths' writing! The uneducated reading books by the uneducated. That makes sense.

Smith's arguments are - every SINGLE one of them in the book I read at least - used COMPLETELY out of context! It ended up SUPPORTING Rick Warren's statements because it was so entirely off base!

  • so in other words, you can't point out one thing Smith says in the interview or his book that is untrue. Just as I suspected...

  • @777GJ Apparently, you must not have read all my replies. EVERY single point he made in his book that I have, "Deceived on Purpose" is an overstatement and taken out of context. The ENTIRE BOOK is exceptionally poor. I've seen better high school or undergrad papers actually. But I don't care to debate it with you any longer. Knock yourself out. Just remember that you are fully accountable for the number of people that you drive AWAY from the faith as well. And the negative approach you are

  • @FetshHeels i've read warren's book and havnt found one word out of context or exaggerated-which you cant exaggerate a quote. it's all in context- i've read the other books he quotes from. warren nailed it.

  • @777GJyou are using, by tearing down exceptional Christian leaders, and wasting valuable time debating semantics instead of reaching the lost, comes a significant price... the souls of the lost! Hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people find Christ through Rick Warren and his ministry. The total number of people even interested in what Warren Smith is saying is int he thousands at best. Whether those drawn to Christ through Rick Warren's ministry stay in that place and are comfortable

  • @FetshHeels you're lost

  • @777GJwith their faith for a lifetime, or whether they adjust their Christian faith as they go, choosing other pastors & literature as they grow is precisely what Warren hopes. He is merely seeking to tug the sleeves of the non-believer and non-church goer. But to call him "New Age", or intentionally deceptive is absolutely, unquestionably, undeniably, utterly ludicris.

  • @777GJBest wishes to you on judgement day. Remember to spend your time trying to reach those who have not heard of Jesus, not tear down those actually getting the Gospel to them. Godspeed.

  • @777GJEvery allegory he tries to construct twists what Rick Warren says to oblviion, and tries to not only redefine it in different terms, but it also then runs away with the logic of how that new statement is defined Biblically. It's illogical compounded upon illogical.

I'm not going to waste my time arguing one side or the other. If you want to totally, utterly WASTE your time taking what Warren Smith says at cogently constructed, then do so.

  • @777GJBut at best, it is very clearly a small potatoes author trying to incorporate off of the very popular book sales of a much more successful author. And that, in itself, is PATHETIC for a Christian to do to another Christian, regardless of how he feels about the other's body of work or sermons. It's no wonder why more people won't attend church today. They're watching the pathetic actions of Christians tearing down other Christians who's ministries are reaching the world for Christ. Sad.

  • Yes i too used to follow new age mvt before becoming a follower of Yeshua. Be careful sometimes the deception is very subtle, it's everywhere. At the church i used to attend they were pushing Rick Warren's book, i recognized new age teachings right away and chose the bible wich is all we need saints.

  • I agree with this video !

  • Emergent church / new age Deception:

Keep your eyes on this 'we are all one, all god and all paths lead to God' whatever name...

You MAY be deceived into rejecting the one true God to be part of a massive campaign to draw you into a new global lifestyle and the book of Revelation details out God's repsonse to that rebellion.
