Just wanted to thank you for putting this up. This works great. I made one today based off your design and I can believe how sharp I got my blades. I used a combination of oil stones and the scary sharp sandpaper system on a piece of glass.
Steve, you have another winner here. It's a stroke of genius to put both blades in the holder so each one acts as an angle guide for the other. The only thing that could be improved would be to put on a couple coats of finish to allow you to wipe the honing oil off. 5 stars & favorite, as usual.
Very nice idea...have any thoughts on a 3 blade system ?
Thank you : )

Yes. Number them 1, 2 and 3.
Do 1 and 2 for, say, 20 strokes. Then do 2 and 3 the same, and finally 1 and 3. They will all be right.

Yes. If you have three blades you sharpen 1 & 2, then 2 & 3, then 1 & 3, all with the same number of strokes.
