  • Very nice idea...have any thoughts on a 3 blade system ?

    Thank you : )

  • @sneezie22

    Yes. Number them 1, 2 and 3.

Do 1 and 2 for, say, 20 strokes. Then do 2 and 3 the same, and finally 1 and 3. They will all be right.

Yes. If you have three blades you sharpen 1 & 2, then 2 & 3, then 1 & 3, all with the same number of strokes.

    Regards Steve

  • Ahh Perfect just what i was looking for! Thanks Again Steve I'm off to build it now i think a nice lump of beech ans some poly is in order!

  • Just wanted to thank you for putting this up. This works great. I made one today based off your design and I can believe how sharp I got my blades. I used a combination of oil stones and the scary sharp sandpaper system on a piece of glass.

    Sharper than a razor.

  • great idea, I want to make one soon...

    thanks

  • Steve, you have another winner here. It's a stroke of genius to put both blades in the holder so each one acts as an angle guide for the other. The only thing that could be improved would be to put on a couple coats of finish to allow you to wipe the honing oil off. 5 stars & favorite, as usual.
