i'm curious as to how much influence racism has had on the current seemingly generally low socioeconomic status of the average black person since there are many white/non-black people who belong to the so-called bottom class of the country. Perhaps the way history went where most blacks in the beginning started out poor has had everlasting effects... i have many brilliant and capable black friends who are excellent people and did not let race hinder their rise to success

I don't know, seems to me that there are more guns in more hands in africa and the middle east. I don't think that people should just be handed a gun, but I think people should learn about them, the safety issues and the mindset of protecting yourself and others. It's the lack of information and experience that has people scared. I'm in the midwest so naturally my idea on school shootings is that they didn't happen because everyone had a shotgun in their truck.

Google "obama illinois senate record." Read the NY Times graphic— the first result. If you are open to reading and researching the information there, you will discover change initiated by Obama in Illinois. But if you've got your mind made up, chances are you're not going to be open to learning positive info about Obama, b/c it's inconsistant with your established attitude toward him.

I was under the impression Obama drafted a bill that banned nearly all gifts Illinois state politicians receive. But that doesn't matter, because he didn't abolish all corruption. Silly me for supporting a reformist who has yet to reform everything; I am delusional.

Well, I know what his wife believes, I know what his pastor preaches, and so I have a good idea of what his little girls are learning.
If he loses the nomination or the presidency then I wonder what they'll teach them. Will it be a good lesson on the nature of victory and loss? About being a good sport and realizing the effort itself can be a good thing?
Or will the lesson be that the "United States of KKA" didn't want a black man for president?
Hopefully they have better influences.

By "youtube" I think you meant to say "their own words." Also, I read about his "black values system" on the TCC website before they changed it to make it less offensive - it was pretty obvious what they meant by "supporting black leaders," "supporting black communities," "non-negotiable commitment to Africa" etc. etc.
By the way, I don't read blogs, most of my information comes directly from news websites.

Excuse me but do you even live in the US? Secondly, I didn't say anything about "elitists". I said if you print money, you lose money. It makes total sense. If you have 10 dollars of currency (total) and print 10 more of those currencies that means the value of them fell 50%. Do you not understand basic economics and how the path we are on will result in a HUGE raise in taxes (which they probably won't do), and all the baby boomer's will most likely suffer because the dollar will fall.

Secondly, I'm not to sure you understand what the fed does. When the fed prints money, it "loans" it to the government. That means we are charged interest on that money. Do you know how much interest there is on 1 Trillion dollars a year? Why do you think we have an income tax, its to pay off these stupid politicians "bills". The federal reserve is a private corporation, it's not apart of the government. It's basically legal counterfeit.
