Wow. Thats one busy county fair...at ours we barely have anyone come through the barn! lol. Those cages are quite small...Im also glad we have supervisors around our barn tell people not to put their fingers in cages...I wouldnt like to have a small child get bit for spooking a bunny.
Yo. I've been wondering about the general health of the Topsfield Fair rabbits for awhile; as a person who goes there every year, and someone who has been researching rabbits for awhile, I was wondering if it's a good place to get one. They looked healthy last time, but only now am I noticing the size of the cages... Those are just for holding them during the fair, right? They can't keep the poor things in there all the time...
@TechnologyWitch The rabbits have great health. I got one at the fair this year but got a huge cage so he has room to run and jump around. The cages in this video are only used for display and are also used in rabbit and bunny shows. The cages are temporary. I have had rabbits for quite some time and I can tell you these cages are only used during the fair.
God that is depressing seeing those bunnies in cages. I'm not slamming you but most people just do not understand rabbits. They do not belong n cages and they are not a simple animal that people think. They are great companions for the right people but not for everyone. People impulse buy and then dump them when they discover the truth about buns. Incidentally they make lousy pets for little kids and not a beginner pet either.
