LOL i love the irony of the C'tan being enslaved by the necrons. If im not mistaken im pretty sure humanity was created by the old ones and so if necronyter was already a race then they are probably not connected to humanity unless humanity was already created by the time of the war in heaven. One question, im new to 40k so were the necrons around before or after battlestar galactica.

@Sierkify Pariah Warriors are made from a human-necron hybrid. The Necrons implanted the Pariah gene in ancient Earth so that they would become an anti-warp warriors.

Some of the recent ones ( pariahs ) are created from humans.

We're not sure what the original Necrontyr were like. They may well be the "root species" from which humans and Eldar were derived. Just a hypothesis...

The one question I have is, if the Necron's actually fought against the C'Tan, why are the C'Tan in the Necron army? I'm assuming it could be that the Necron armies that we field are on the side of the C'Tan before they revolted (being that we're not playing the 'Rebel' Necrons) or that they're merely shards and somehow different...?

@Nugget2097 The Silent King had the C'Tan's essence captured into shards of some sort of metal (I forget its name) and enslaved them to the Necron people allowing them to unleash the shards whenever needed. Its explained in the new Codex.

@ImmaAngryBeaver Tomb Worlds aren't obviously Tomb Worlds; and while the Imperium may be a little... wasteful with its human resources, they are because there's always another person where they came from. But on the other hand, PLANETS are not a renewable resource.
