I should know I have had 2 of their junk most recent smaller displacement ones that end up with stretched head bolts. GM's &. the Cummins are much more reliable. Other countries have as good or better ones that are made about or to military spec's. My 2009 Ford F-550 will be my last after spending $3,600 on injectors & head bolts with only 120,000 miles. It's the cart before the horse. Sure it can pull it but all the engine brakes, frame and suspension upgrades in the world aren't going to make it heavy enough to stop a load like that. I have been pushed around the road by a much smaller trailer in a much larger truck. My f250 can tow the same as my chev 2500 however my f20 will stop quicker and is less likely to go haywire on me if I have to swerve. With a large load of course. Beautiful truck though.

That combo would not be allowed on Canada or US road. Don't get me wrong, tha Land Rover is a good vehicle but with a american size caravan, you would need a american size vehicle to be able to pull it and most important, to stop it. The Rover is way too light and underpowered for that job.

The Land Rover pulled and stopped the caravan with ease. This particular Land Rover was built for much harder jobs than caravan pulling ;)

Towing capacity on the Dodge 3500 cummins is 17,600 lbs and payload. capacity is 5,130 lbs. Sorry, my error  9,900 curb weight !

@unimogman404 Problems with the Dodge it is ONLY made for pulling. they are useless off road. try driving one on a green lane you will make it about 10 ft then get crossaxled and all mess up then when you put it in low range its just gona spin the wheels till one gets traction then youll snap a half shaft then youve got no drive on that axle at all. then you mind as well be in a realy ugly civic. not to mention youll block the lane for proper 4x4s and ruin every ones day.

I am not surprised the police pulled you, Its over length, it may be to wide if over >2.55m, the 5th wheel is in the wrong place, its overloaded on the rear axel, is wider than the land rover by 30.5cm either side so should have had wide load extremity markers, most American stuff has electric brakes (illegal) and even if the land rover had vacuum trailer brakes it would be illegal to retro fit them to the trailer as its to new so you should have had air brakes as over-run brakes wouldn’t work!

@b101uk - The Police didn't pull us and an Inspector gave us permission to use it on the day of this video. The 5th wheel is perfectly positioned by Land Rover and the rear suspension always looks low, it was built that way to allow it to tow really low trailers. Electric brakes are legal and available in the UK if you have the right brake controller. How long do think the caravan was when the police measured it? apparently only 30ft long!
