Hey man please respond! i need some help to choose between this and the line 6 m13. i play lots of classic rock, and progressive rock, like rush, EVH, yes, led zepp, and some occasional gnr stuff. i have a strat and a marshall jcm 800 which i love the drive on. which is better if i want the use the drive on my amp and still use the effects and OD from the pedal. THANKS!
@reallybored32 I haven't tried the m13, but after getting to know my Nova System, I can't imagine ever liking the sound of anything from Line 6 more than I like the Nova. I've had some experience with a few Line 6 products and I don't dislike them; I just think the sound of the Nova is superior. It doesn't sound like something trying to emulate something else.
@jr51501 While there is some degree of lag with any unit of this type, I don't see it as an issue with the Nova. Your reference to lag is probably more about the design of the footswitches. Instead of engaging when you step on them, they engage when you release them. So you press the footswitch just before you want to switch, and when you release the switch the change takes place. It's easy to get used to, and I've found that I actually prefer it that way.
Hej Steffen. Wonderful tone. Do you have the external pedal plugged into the drive input or the line input? I have not tried external distortion or overdrive with my Nova System yet and I want to use an external OD sent to a low gain DIST on the NS. Does it take pedals well? Tak! Joe
I've always played into to the drive input....but with that said I never use the drive in the Nova... so I don't know how it works with other drives. But it will make your sound more midrangy... for better and for worse. Try out the excellent EMMA Stinkbug for great drive-tones :)
@ImageRiver It does take pedals very well. I never thought I would want more than one pedal for OD/distortion until I got the Nova System and tried both an OD and a heavy distortion in front of it. Sounds good even when I also add the built-in Drive with both pedals engaged, and with everything in front of the amp. I've had mine for a few weeks now and so far haven't even found the need to try it through the amp's effects loop.
Well, the Blues Junior is voiced very differently than a Twin Reverb - more gritty..no so much top sparkle. So of course it will not be the same - but I'm sure you can get nice sounds anyway. I use two amps, which is needed if you want that broad sound..
The sounds gets so huge when you activate the stereo pitch.
Maybe a stupid question but, do you have to run the effect through two different amps to be able to use this stereo pitch? What exactly does it do to your sound?
Hey, I just got a nova system myself, but I had one simple question; is physically unplugging it the only way to turn it off? Or is there some button I'm missing?
I like more agressive music and i own a 2 channel dual rec. Can you use the nova systems overdrive to push the tubes just like a maxon or ibanez tube screamer?
Besides a recently bought Nova System I also have a Korg ToneWorks. HUGE difference This Nova System has such a great dynamic range and reveals every winding in my pickup coils. Actually, now I also have a new guitar.
Hey man are you related to Hans Brix?

Mvh

Hej Steffen.
