  • Hey Will, I'm in the middle of the build of the FPV-3... Can you tell me the measurement for the prop cutout on the lower wing? What is the width and how far forward from the trailing edge of the lower wing? I want to get it cut and in place before I put the upper wings on. Thanks!

  • @AWorld4Change Width is 9.75. The back edge of the hole is 4.75 inched forward of the trailing edge of the wing. Then the hole is a little over 2.25 inches wide.

  • Thanks! I made your FPV plane v3 and it was AMAZING. The only complaint I have is the name of your plane. May I suggest to give a cooler name? ... say "Sky Fortress".

Somehow, I think your plane looks like a huge fortress floating in the sky. Not sure if you agree with me or not.

  • HEY WILL, another winner!! I got 2 other friends interested in the hobby, one already build by the way, my wife says clean your room!!! :)~~~

  • @hawkskyflier Thanks! Glad you like the plane and thanks for spreading the word.

  • Just to say again as mentioned . Flitetest did a review on your FPV plane(the plane on the table V3) . They loved it and gave a big thumbs up. Hey gr8 stuff.

  • @lewandlo Yeah, I really liked it too.

  • Flite Test did a review on your FPV v3! I'm so going to build this for summer. It's too windy to fly it now... maybe if I get some gyro and put it on rudder.

  • @archedperson This plane is not afraid of the wind. I have flown it in wind so strong it was literally going backwards relative to the ground. Trust me vertical landings are really fun. No gyro needed. Build it and give it a try, you will be happy =).

  • and i was talking about gyros might be good for the roll prolem on the vtol plane.

  • yeah, i ended up building a 20cc yak

  • Use gyros on the roll

  • U might need gyros

  • @davonizdashit The plane is very stable as is. Have you built and flown one yet? Might be hard to set up gyros on the roll when it's an elevon plane.

  • @MikeysRC the only good way of setting up gyro's on elevons is if you dont use the mixer on your radio and use a hardware mixer like the GWS one. and put the gyro's before it.

  • @MikeysRc I tried contacting someone through the website with the email address given about your online store. Thought I would leave a comment so I doesn't get lost in spam. I emailed mikeysrc@mikeysrc.com. My name is Keith. Thanks!

  • @rcpilotp51 Yes I got your email and sent you a reply. Maybe it wont to your spam box.

  • @MikeysRC Got it! Thanks Will!

  • @MikeysRc this has nothing to do with this video but I've seen on other videos of urs u take subscriber / viewer requests well I think it would be a good challenge if u built a rc concorde

  • @MrPopracing Ho check out my website. I already made a Concorde and there are FREE PDF plans for it too =). There are videos of it flying just search mikeysrc Concorde.

  • Problem these days is cause motors are so powerful you don't need to launch a plane, you just let go of it, back when your plane had less thrust than mass, it would bite the dust if you sucked at hand launching. And having the thrust behind the CG doesn't help either

  • good informations

  • I also would like updated pdf plans with the new mods please. I have not built it yet and would like to start off with at little guess work as possible. Great job and this BTW!

  • will built this plane for my new gopro

  • Flew mine today. Took about 4 tosses before I could get it into the air. Flight didn't last very long due to an elevon problem but at least it does fly really nice. The nose took the brunt of the hits though :-(

  • There are probably no more than 10 radical pioneers in RC at the moment and you, Mikey, are one of them. Keep it up and I hope to see more crazy stuff soon :)

  • good job man always like your videos..........thanks for the free pdf

  • will you update the Pdf's now??????

  • Did you need to add weight to the nose after moving the motor back?

  • always enjoy your videos!!! - but even more your unique designs

  • Very clever. I like the ideas that make the frame stiffer. Larger rudders do make sense. Moving the motor back is a good idea. Thanks for sharing the ideas.

  • And keep up the great work.

  • Hi Mikey

Nice channel. I needed your help and I sent an email to you. Could you please check. It also has a proposal for you that might benefit us both. Thanks :)

  • 1st!
