  • A Baldwin 4-6-0. Great Locomotive. Great video :-)

  • i remember riding this when i was little.

  • Oh my, I started going to this park in the *80s* probably! I haven't been there though in over 10 years. I was a little disappointed that they're closed for the year but I guess it's already November now..... The Smoky Mountains are something to behold and riding a steam train through there is just unforgettable. This is definitely IMO the best theme park in the United States, hands down. Nothing like it anywhere in the world that I know of.

  • MAN, I LOVE Tweetsie Railroad!!! Such a staple of North Carolina!!! Nothing beats a steam locomotive either!!!

  • Fantastic video! It has been favorited! How did you get the cab ride?

  • i have a video of her going over the bridge i have not yet got it on the computer

  • I have two questions?

    1. How do you get your film from the coaches to be so smooth?

    2. Did you tape all the behind the scene shots during railfan weekend, or after?

  • 1. Tripod

    2. Before

  • My last question is, how did you get behind the scenes shots? Did you ask for persmission or just do it?

  • I get permission for anything I shoot. Always okay it before going trackside! Trains are fun but are also dangerous.

  • Yea, they can be dangerous. Been around them enough to know that, plus they can be really quite suprisingly and just pop out of no where. Seen that a few times while railfanning.

  • Why do they always have the bell on?

  • They don't always have it on. They usually have it on coming back into town and leaving town.

  • I see, my bad. Should have watched the whole video first.

  • to keep the fools off the track.

  • hey im a fool then !! i love tweetsie shes every time i see her im always like OH MY GOD!!!! cause i never see her run shes almost allways the one in the shed

  • in july of 1969 I was 8 years old and my famliy and I were carnies. we had set up our carnival in a field beside the road at the base of the mountain where you could here and see tweetsie going up the mountain and at that time there was a castle where the rides were and a huge sleeping giant inside the castle. this was the week that Armstrong set foot on the moon.

  • I have a similer video of the #190, did you film this in october because I was probably working that day, I'm a ride operator.

  • I filmed it in June and September. All my videos have the filming date in the description.

  • That locomotive is one of the most decorative I've ever seen. I've been visiting Tweetsie All my life and no matter how many times i go, I never get tired of it.

  • Great video. I am more of a Colorado Narrow Gauge fan but this is still great.

  • Great video, I have some cab footage of 12 & 190 form 04 and 05, that I will post soon.

  • cool i'll be on the look out for that

  • Nothing like hearing either locomotive charge up the hill inbetween the "frontier outpost" and "fort boone". Ive had a few cabrides as well and always enjoy that part of the trip the best.

  • Yep you're right.

  • Man your are one lucky guy. So is the engineer.

  • Are they going to rebuild that depot and shop that burnt down soon?

  • ya at the end of the opporating season

  • nice
