is anyone else offended when you hear how there is only one god and that he is the god of the bible...? I'm not a christian i wasn't born one, i believe in god, but I believe that god is everything, god is all. I don't understand why the public considers it acceptable to lewdly tell other people that they aren't going to hell because they don't follow their religion. It's incredibly insulting. I'm sick of people speaking for God as if they know better.
Twisted Sister as bumper music, seriously? Mr. Lofton, did you forget these cross-dressing heathens were on Tipper Gore's filthy fifteen, which you so passionately railed against two decades ago? What a clown.
lol, Bob Bar was put on the spot. Good video. It is true: you can't separate politics, philosophy, and religion completely. They overlap. Pay little attention to the sissys crying below.
The real American View (as put forth by America's Founders) invoked the God of the civil religion which Mr. Lofton arguably wouldn't view as the God of the Bible (the God of the civil religion is the God of Jews, Christians, Muslims, Unitarians, etc.).
Conflating the American View with the Christian view has even corrupted Mr. Lofton. As a Calvinistic Christian, he ignores Romans 13 which forbids revolt and replaces it with the a-biblical theology of the Declaration of Independence.
Broken bones? Stolen or damaged property? If not, there can be no crime except amongst those who agree to judge and be bound outside of the limits of civil government. Lofton does not understand Jesus' teaching in this regard whereas Barr does.
Does Lofton understand that his apparent disdain for the Constitution brings him perilously close to being a domestic enemy?
Mr. Lofton represents (in my opinion) a fairly extreem view of how religion should influence government. I am much more comfortable with Mr Barr's view of government than I am of what I percieve Mr. Lofton wants (a religious theocracy). Mr. Barr also (I assume) strongly defends Mr. Lofton's right to his opinion. I am surprised that Mr. Barr hung in this interview as long as he did.
As a strong Christian that as Lofton said puts Christ first, I respect the separation of church and state and respect Bob Barr for not hanging up the phone
Lofton really thinks this interview is going to convince us to hate Bob Barr. All it did for me is convince me this guy (Lofton) is an Idiot. And him being an Idiot, does not make me a atheist. He give intelligent Christians a bad rap.
Lofton is clueless.Bob Barr is the only truthful and knowledgeable candidate. I mean, McCain changes so you like him,Obama has bin know to do that aswell,as in wearing the American pin, and now does,he never held his hand over this heart during the anthem, now he does...in my opinion,if he would have never changed and stayed with his opinion, I would still like him, but not only these reasons have changed my mind, 57 + 2 states...common!!! He doesn't even correct himself, BOB BARR FOR PRESIDENT!

Whoever knows how to distinguish between body and soul, between this present fleeting life and that future eternal life, will without difficulty know that Christ's spiritual Kingdom and the civil jurisdiction are things completely distinct.

Is this guy really serious? Why did Bob Barr waste his time with this?
I was a Christian first and became a Libertarian. And if this guy is Christian I am ashamed to be one.

lofton, the purpose of libertarianism is not to "ignore god".
its purpose is to allow the people to ignore god if they wish..which, judging by my copy of the constitution, isn't illegal.
lofton, you ignore the first amendment to the constitution and are therefore fundamentally un-american you piece of christian shit.

Lofton demonstrates why Christians have failed to stem the tide of godless collectivism. The mindlessness of his position makes him impotent.
