He sure is. I've seen him and John many times, but John quit again a couple of years ago. I always ask Larry how he's doing whenever we have a chance to talk. I never knew Larry was as good as cross picking the guitar as John, until I saw him at the Sertoma Youth Ranch Festival in November. Talent abounds in the Gillis family.

He's one of the best in the world. I got a chance to see him live a few years ago, he makes it look easy, it's effortless to him. I've never seen anyone as fast or as clean as Larry Gillis.

That's a fact, Hoove...he's quite a showman, and keeps the traditional aspect of bluegrass always in the forefront of his performances. It just don't get no better than Larry Gillis.
