In the begining of the song he does not hit the notes correctly and his voices is kinda "thin". There is neither power nor expression. The chorus sounds better, but imagine, how it would sound like without that "little digital helper". Biffy´s song is truly brillant, but this fella´s performance is average. The jury voted for the commercial potential of a young handsome guy, and not an artist, who´s got voice and at least some technical skills. These shows are pathetic.

Matt can sing better than I, but to be honest, he's nothing special. Young girls will vote for him because he's cute, I admit that. I actually went back and looked at the 2009 finalists, they as a group, were much better than the finalists this year. Cher was the only one unique and different this year. Let's hope next year will be better.

I love Matt Cardle :) So glad he made it to number one.... he had tonsulitus for most of the show and was on medication.... most people would of just given up... give him some credit..... go matt!!!! :D <3

Matt can sing better than I, but to be honest, he's nothing special. Young girls will vote for him because he's cute, I admit that. I actually went back and looked at the 2009 finalists, they as a group, were much better than the finalists this year. Cher was the only one unique and different this year. Let's hope next year will be better.

Matt's a really good male singer but the thing about X Factor is I feel they give way too much credit to each singer and each performer or their standards are just lower. If the same artists gave the same performance on American Idol, Simon and everyone else wouldn't give nearly as great comments as they would on X Factor. Plus it seems like every performance on X Factor gets a standing O.

He sounds like a failure modern solo artists fail at staying on top for more than a year or two nowadays because most of them can't top micheal jackson
they have nothing new or original or fresh about them.
they can't maintain a level of popularity because their fans are just sheep who will stick to the next big thing then phase off and because they are not used to dedication and grinding or probably know much about the way the music business has its tricks so they get walked over and dim down

Listen to him singing 'Way To Be' with his band Seven Summers. He has great song writing skills and worked himself fraught through out the X Factor. Could you do that ?

Jealous? Can't you see he tried even after being sick? I partly agree but this person truly deserves it! Although music industry is not all about voice but looks, entertainment (e.g. Roby Williams) etc...
Most times Xfact finalists are terrible but this one ,Leona, last years winner and the one who went up against Shayne Ward but sadly lost. (Ben the rock one was good too) But mostly they suck....

ive nothing against this guy and biffy are very talented and really nice guys,i had the pleasure of supporting them a couple of times with my old band around vertigo of bliss & those gigs/memories are forever special to me,not because of what theyve achieved now but because they were leagues above everything else,making money isnt selling out but allowing cowell to water down your art is,nirvana went major label but choose creative control over big money,shame those values are lost here : (
